Hi guys, finally I got the HD2 two days ago.
just realise that this HD2 doesnt support KOREAN unless it is bought in Korea which means it has been installed KOREAN ROM.
I've read most of threads posted here but couldnt find any useful one for me.
(acutally found one but look forward better one-)
i just wanna type Korean, view Korean in txt msgs, web pages, or name of files which is named in Korean.
FOR what i want, should i flash rom to KOREAN ONE? or is there anyother way like just install apps or patches?
I DID ENOUGH search the forums even here and other sites, so pls let me know the way for that.
Thanks in advacne!

Hey, sorry if this has already been posted on how to change language, but i have some specific questions i would like to ask.
1) I bought the Touch HD from Taiwan and the language of it is Traditional chinese, i was actually thinking that it was an international phone and would have several languages to choose from... but apparently not.
How would i go about changing the language from chinese to english?
What would i have to do?
2) If i change the language, do i lose everything that is currently on my phone?
Thanks for any help anyone can provide.
You could just flash a new Rom, it will change the phone to that Rom and replace what you currently have, a lot of Roms have the same stuff just tweaked for better performance so you would not lose much.
That is assuming your not on a phone carrier plan of course, check out the different roms to suit what you want
This phone was bought outright so im assuming im not carrier locked (Kinda hard seeing as im in australia and it was bought in taiwan )
So i would have to use HardSPL?
There are two options to do it there are excellant directions for both in the ROM section I used HardSPL but the choice is yours
Hi all,
Apologies but im in a fix with the above phone. Its a UK HD2 on t-mobile ukl but i really need to get the phone into Hungarian. I cant seem to find that language anywhere in the settings. Is there something i can download and install Hungarian on the phone?
Any help is appreciated
Any help anyone?
well I can't help with how to add a language to your phone, but if you are willing to get into rom flashing, many cooked roms come with different languages installed. the rom I'm using (in my sig) has hungarian.
though I should think it shouldn't be too hard to add languages. keep searching the forums, I bet its dead easy once you know how.
Hi Guys,
I just finally got my TMobile HD2 and need the phone to be able to read Chinese, Japanese, and Korean.
I would also like to be able to write Chinese on it although I still want to have the english interface on the phone.
I have looked up and read numerous threads in this forum about adding Chinese support but there seems to be just way too many different programs such as QQ input, CE Star, Shugou, etc that has confused me.
(I actually tried and installed QQ pinyin input, however they were still squares. I assume its because I don't have the font installed. I tried this because I haven't HSPL'd my phone and am worried about doing it since I'm a complete noob.)
Also, there seems to be a way to read and write chinese characters but after flashing the ROM to an Energy ROM or other compatible ROM FIRST which I found from another thread.
For all of you who have experience in this, what is the easiest way where I can
read and write Chinese and just also be able to read Japanese and Korean?
I would really appreciate the help!
Google RickyMSYH6.0FullBD to read chinese
Try this site, they have chinese rom and english rom that support chinese.

make sure it's for t-mobile or else you might brick your hd2.
good luck
Hello All,
I'm a German living in China and totally addicted to this android stuff. So yesterday I bought me a Iconia. I just can say i love it after playing around a while. But there is one thing that is completely unacceptable. The Chinese version lacks all the google tools like gmail, maps, latitude and so on. I'm actually not so much interested in all these games and movies, im more the productive guy.
So here comes the question, after reading all the threads about custom boot roms I wonder whether it is possible just to dd the EU/US system.img to my device - according to the informations of this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1101759
Could it really be so easy or do i have to take care about other things like versions or other stuff?
Every hint will be appreciated!
It won't be easy first
And...you can brick your tab
I think the safest way is to flashfor the next update a European firmware... so if it says "update avaible" search for the same version but the EU version (here on the forum)

Yes it can be done and it really isn't that hard if you follow the instructions in this post:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1101859
I went to a Chinese firmware and then did the US firmware following these instructions. Just one small point, make sure you have a class 4 MicroSD card before you start.
There are no problems with you doing it on your Chinese machine and it will give you the outcome you are after by providing the International apps that are on the American unit (or in my case the Australian).
Try this link.

Looks like it might be what you need. Applied it over Chinese rom and then upgraded to US stock.

Hello Guys,
I bought Iconia in China with
Build Number: Acer_A500_1.135.02_AAP_CUS4
Bad Thing: No Market, no Maps, no Latitude, no Gmail, chinese everywhere even after switching the Pad to English.
I followed the instructions in the link from Trinity - everything went smooth.
Result: Mix of chinese, but I had market and all the goodies
Then i did a factory reset.
Result: A clean fresh american rom. Includes the languages english, german, spanish, italian, french, chinese simpl., chinese traditional.
Thanks to everyone contributed to this solution!
Hi guys,
I managed to break the screen on my beloved Legend. After much hassle with the insurance, I've just got a new one -- and it's the VERY sexy black model!
Problem is, it seems to be set up for the Scandinavian market -- the only language options are English (Norway), English (Denmark), English (Sweden), English (Finland), plus various flavours of Norsk, Dansk, Svenska and Suomi.
Is there any way to get a UK English version on there, without replacing the whole ROM? I got sick of sticking new ROMs on when I was on WinMo, and was hoping to "make do" with the stock Android ROM (+ official updates). Which is why I'm a bit of a n00b.
Believe me, I've Googled around and searched this forum, and can't find anything relevant -- all the hits are going the other way, e.g. "how do I install a Scandinavian keyboard?"
Thanks!
