HTC HD2 on o2 - locked!

o2 have supplied me the handset locked to the network even though I purchased it out of contract outright.
I know there is no hardspl out there yet but anyone unlocked their HD2 yet?
o2 need to fill out a form and send it to HTC which could take 28 days

yes yes anyone can google but half of these sites are dodgy. Why do you think I posted here.

i ordered an unlock code from the web said 5 to 30 mins, that was 5 hours ago !! im still waiting........ i will let you know if and when it comes through.
first handset i think o2 have locked.
is there no such thing as an imei unlock code generator ?? how do all these websites do it ??
if anyone can unlock my HD2 quicker i will pay for it !

Yes i did ask O2 for it they said it would be upto 28 days... and would cost me 15.00 pounds.
i paid 17.99 on MOBILEUNLOCKED.COM for a 5-30 mins service which i thought was worth the extra few pounds.
digging around a bit there are a few websites this guy runs (the contact info in it is the same) and the e-mails come from mobileunlocked.com

If they clearly sold you a phone without simlock, they must provide a device without simlock, it is as simple as that. If they are not willing to change it fast, I would give it back and get it somewhere else.
If they are customer friendly, they usually do have ways and solutions. A Samsung phone I had was unlocked in a service center within 10 minutes, my Xperia took the same way. I actually never "buy" phones through contractual down payments...

may well be right ! can't remember that far back !
What get gets me is that people quote a few minutes to unlock but then they do not getting back to you.
If i had an e-mail saying sorry it will be 24 - 48 hours then, at least i would know. (sorry to moan !)

i've used leo.unlock-now.com as well, but put in the HD2 first rather than the HD2 T8585 (Which is the O2 one). Haven't heard back yet, but have sent an email to state what I did wrong. I'll let you know too!

mine is a T8585 as I have an o2 one.
also - can anyone with an o2 one find the screen allignment option? looks like o2 have basterdised the os a bit too much.

It's under settings>advanced>display but pointless as you don't have a stylus.

I do not have an advanced top level menu under settings!?

Scroll to settings on the thumb bar, hit menu>all settings>System folder>Screen>

Anyone heard from their respective websites yet? I really doubt that a website will be able to unlock it over the insternet in "a few hours" when a phone provider has to send the information off to htc to get it done.
I have had bad experiences in the past trying to unlock sonys and nokias (not mine) and wouldnt use one again. Im sure there are very reliable sites out there but the ones I used which I researched before using just took my money then kept it for 2 days before saying that my phone couldnt be unlocked.

The ONLY public or disclosed way at the moment is by code..There are several posts in this forum regarding "unlock via IMEI", also there are many people advertising on $bay.
Working codes will cost around £15 - £20 (they are £10 wholesale so don't buy a code from $bay that costs £4-99).. Codes are getting turned around in less than a couple of hours now.

i was wondering if olipro is working on a sim unlock or all in one unlock like what he did in the past with other htc phones.

I'm not sure what is this cable, but I think that it will not help you to unsimlock your phone.

So I get a refund from http://www.htcsimunlock.com since there not able to give me the unlock code too...

thanks for the link, i sent mi IMEI and paid by paypal yesterday night, i received the code this morning for 11,95$ as orange asked me like 80 $.
my HTC HD2 was locked by orange FRA, and now it's unlocked with the code they sent to me.
chose the HTC HD2 T8585, wait for the code, then enter another simcard from new provider, enter the pin code of the simcard then it asks to enter the unlock code, and use the one unlockallcellular.com sent to you.
it works 100%, no problem.

HTC HD2 and HTC HD2 T8585 are not exactly the same mobile phone (HTC HD2 is may be the new one that is sold only in US actually)

they dont do t-mobile (uk)

I've got my (2nd) Hd2 locked by t-mo uk , Unlocked.. by phoning t-mo uk and asking them to remove simlock.. cost 15quid, and a 10minute conversation to the carribean explaining to them that no I didn't want a puk code.
When I say unlocked.. I'm waiting for a letter to be sent out with the code on it.. (edit: It arrived 10days later and worked fine.)
I'm using my t-mo sim in my Htc branded Hd2 and have given my t-mo branded Hd2 to my dad to use on his o2 sim.

It was very fast, I receive my unlock code in 1 week day (paid monday 4PM, code received tuesday 8PM), Paris time.

I've make some research over the internet, so i found one program but cannot test it until tonight. I'm so curious if it's working! If someone is interested search for MXKEY HTC UNLOKER UPDATE V1.2 and please give a feedback if it's working or not!

You need a hardware dongle to use that software so unless you have one then no it does not work.

unlock wildfire for free ?

iv just bought a wildfire and it locked for 3 mobile UK

1-) Root the phone by unrevoked. Just go to their site, http://unrevoked.com. Just do a search on the forums for more info.
2-) create a goldcard. you can do it manually. Search for the manual way as there are many posts on that.
3-) Download a wwe rom for your wildfire.Link to wwe rom http://shipped-roms.com/shipped/Buzz...189_signed.exe.
4-) Turn off your phone. Power your phone while holding volume down and power button. This will get you to the bootloader. Pick fast usb and start the RUU on your computer and let it install the new rom on your phone.
Hope this works for you.

I think he meant network unlock, not rooting/flashing.

Debranding is NOT the same as unlocking.

So, guys, as i see, there is no way to unlock wildfire, just by flashing it. I'm right?
Maybe there is some flash to comletly remove the locking state?! (network lock)

There is not any free way to unlock Wildfire. You have to get an unlocking code and put it into your phone.

Contact your carrier as they may offer free or cheap unlocking

Ni kod babe nema dzabe , if 30€ is too much for you (obviously it is) then go for 16$ on htcsimunlock web site. If PayPal doesn't work for you you have alternative ways of payment there: CREDIT CARD online now, CREDIT CARD by FAX, CREDIT CARD by PHONE, CHECK/CHEQUE with Proforma Invoice.
There is no public open way of doing unlock for free for HTC Widfire so far and you have two choices: keep it locked on current provider or pay for unlocking.

There is a free method for the Desire. Im saying there problably is a way to do it but noone has found it yet.

Unsimlock HTC Hero

Hi everyone
I just spent more than 2 hours to search about how to unsimlock my htc hero. Just found useless stuff about buying code or making "goldcards".
I want to unsimlock it PERMANENTLY and without buying a f**cking 15 or 17 or 20 or 37$ unlock code
I want it to be exactly like a normal phone.
So here's my question : just is that possible? and if so, how?

Already done. I flashed the last bootloader, the last recovery (amon RA) and I installed VillainROM 13 but when I start the phone, it asks me a code to unlock the network after I insert my PIN code.

Used unlocking .com for my wife hero bought in UK and locked on orange. 15 bucks and delivered in 12 he's. Was easy

There are no free lunches. I have just paid twelve bucks to unlock mine... Let's see if they can get the code :O

I had the same issue with unlocking the T-Mobile G2 Touch (aka HTC Hero G2) and managed to get the code free of charge from T-Mobile.
I wrote to their Subsidy Pin Team, and gave them the Make, Model, IMEI of the phone, along with my name, phone number, email and home address.
Did help though cos I found a post of 3G.co.uk which I referred to in my letter to them.
Worked for me, may work for you....

had the same problem ..I live in Tunisia I cant buy the code even if i wanted sooo .. roting the phone is not enough .. I used goldcard method including downgrading to 1.5 official HTC rom .. then it worked

I have a second hand G2 touch and managed to get the unlock code from T-Mobile for free. Some places do it for as little as a tenner but unfortunately you do need a code to unlock it (Even the phone shops do it by entering the code these days I believe).

How would you accomplish this when T-Mobile denies to give you a unlock code?
And Would it keep the SIM unlock while switching between different OSes?

Simple as using this service to source code direct from HTC.
Use these guys as have always been quick & have given us good support ...
Codes supplied fully unlock & once unlocked you are perminantly unlocked & switching OSes will not relock device

Ebay had them a few weeks ago for only $5. If you have a account with T-Mobile there is no reason why they shouldn't give you the code. I would call up and speak to someone else. I can't tell you how many times i've not heard something i wanted to hear from someone at T-Mobile and hung up, then called back and got the responce i was looking for. If they still wont you can still end up trying ebay. There are several online ones too that would be cheaper then going through HTC.

I assume it works on almost all credit & debit cards worldwide, we do work devices by them & pay via Thai Baht debit card & conversion is all handled during the payment stage so very simple & easy. Always had working codes from these people too & good delivery times, if you supply a mobile number with correct international dialling code they sms you the code too.
