My XDA mini s has suddenly started turning the flash on for no apparent reason.
It seems to flicker on and off with no pattern. I tried going into the camera app and switching the flash on and off but this doesn't make any difference.
I'm guessing there might just be a loose connection somewhere (which would be seriously annoying). Anyone have any cunning solution to this?
Cheers,
Gav
I can't help you I'm affraid but mine has just started doing exactly the same.
Sometimes its on but very dim and then flickers. It was doing it a minute ago and has now stopped.
I've had a good look though the forum but can't find anything.
yup, me too i'm afraid, thank god it's stopped for a moment, is driving me crazy. I reckon it must be a software issue as it doesn't seem to be a loose connection, maybe flashing the rom might help? Out of my league now though! cheers and good luck
Hi All,
I noticed that a couple of seconds to midnight the display of my Touch HD turns on.
I turns off as usual, but I think it's kind of strange.
Anyone had the same issue?
Is it harmful? somehow I don't trust it
Hope someone knows what s the cause.
Regard
Ramón.
Have a search on here - I think I've already seen someone talk about that. It's something to do with searching for updates or something like that.
Thanks, I searched before but didn't find it..
I tried again and found the thread.

It seems to be caused by GAlarm which I'm using.
Thanks for the tip.. feels good to know why this happening
Hi Guys I have the T-mobile G2 running stock software-hasn't been rooted or anything. I've noticed that the phone will stop audiable notifiations and vibrate on then for unknown reason. It does that eventually every time after reboot, the only way to fix it is to reboot the phone or if I receive incoming call it will resume the notifying and the vibration on the notifications again. It is rather weird and If you guys know what might be causing it or how to fix it please let me know. I know there are more people out there having the same issue. I wonder why is noone complaining about it?
Thank you.
Have you tried to disable "Power Saver"? (Menu-Settings-Power Saver)

I do not have such an option on my phone-I have the T-mobile G2 not the Desire Z-maybe there is a difference there in the options menu...I don't run the HTC sense version....
Root your phone, flash some DZ ROM and then do what i said before
Now seriously. Sorry, that was my bad..
Does anyone think this is an issue worth looking into? If anyone has the same issue please advise if you have found a way to fix it. It does look like software issue to me just don't know what is causing it....
Come on guys, does anyone have the same issue? Any way to fix that without rooting and using a custom ROM?
Help is appreciated...

This used to happen to me all the time... on a few different stock android devices.
Notifications would just stop working. NO sound. I would go into Handcent and do a "Test Notification" and there would be no sound.
Always happened after having the phone on for several hours. I just got in the habit of rebooting daily. Currently I'm on Cyanogen Mod and haven't noticed an issue recently.
But like I said it has happened to me on 4 android devices all running various versions of Android.. so I'm guessing it's an app combo that I have.
I'm on CM6 and this happens to me randomly too
Yep, mine doesn't vibrate on sms notifications. Vibrates for incoming calls ok though. I only noticed it a few days ago. Hmmmm,.... Using CM6.1
I see, I am also guessing it's software related just don't know what is causing it...
The strange part is that when I reboot the phone shortly after it will stop notifying me or vibrating on notifications and after I receive a call it will start working normally again-until the next reboot-it is weird...

Hi there Everyone, I do feel that this is somewhat of an issue,
I have HTC G2 t-mobile running Cyangenmode 7-10 Rc
My issue of no sound notifications started after I updated the Rom
I was running 2.2.1 now it is 2.3.4.
I keep getting DSP manager error, and this will pop up when I make a phone call or if I have an in coming call. (and I hear some static noise) that part is not as annoying as the fact
Some times during the week (when I am at work and need the phone to be quiet) I will get actually get sound, and then on the weekend I don't
Not sure what is going on. with this I have been looking on line to find a solution I have tried a few but still no luck, Any input would be greatly appreciated.
Blessings from Moondaughter6
Anyone ever made one? Reason why I'm asking is sometimes g-sensor is not always needed, or preferred by the users and it can actually cause more problems than solutions!
I'd love to have one but can't find one anywhere and can't find a way to turn my G-Sensor off, sure it's able to be enabled.... But not disabled! WTF? LoL
Thanks for all suggestions and advice!
Hello,
I installed MIUI Rom or my Defy+ but now there's a big problem with calling/receiving calls.
When I start the Defy+ I can call without problems. But after some minutes I cannot call anymore nor someone can call me. I then need to restart the phone and it works again for some minutes/calls.
It's not the network that has the problem because I tested it on several other smartphones and they do always work.
Does anyone knows how to fix this?
Is the problem similar to this?
