Working on the Wiki

Hey everybody,
I'm currently working/writing for the Wiki.
If you wish to see certain topics in it please let me know, or add it yourself

Update 28-01-2008
I've updated the wiki again. The following items have been done:
Added the ROM dump article from the forums written by pof
Added the link to the forum thread on the Niki Kitchen 0.3
Added some hacks & tweaks for the Niki
Please, I want to expand the wiki so it is a good starting point and knowledge base for new users and people unknow to flashing and updating.

You do a great job! I just miss a link to the cube customization thread. beside of that i have no idea to improve it.

how about a decent explanation of the different types of spl and what they would be used for, also a list of any settings you would net to take a note of before flashing a new rom, eg server settings for mms,

WQVGA Themes (Samsung Omnia)?

Hi been looking everywhere on this site and all over the net and I cant really find any themes that fit my samsung omnia which has wqvga resolution. Can someone please help me find some as I really want some of the really good themes on this board but I dont know which ones fit wqvga.

These are some themes specially designed for samsung omnia that
Supports Resolutions:
QVGA (240x320)
WQVGA (240x400)
VGA (480x640)

Installation Instructions:
-------------------------
1) If you haven't installed mobile shell before, skip to step 2.
Run UnInstall.mscr to REMOVE the previous version (this will completely remove the
'SpbMobileShellSkins' folder from your "My Storage" / "Storage Card".)
2) Extract the .zip file into the root of your desired storage location.
3) Using your device, open File Explorer and find your desired installation
location (as above). Go to 'SpbMobileShellSkins\Scripts'. In here run the
file 'Mortscipt.exe'. This will enable the other scripts to run.
4) In File Explorer, run the file "Install_WQVGA.mscr"and set your LANGUAGE.
5) You will notice 28 other scripts like Luna_Paper.mscr. Each time you run
one of these, when you go to SPBShell/Programs/Tools/SBP Skins a new skin
will become available. If you want all 28, then run all 28 scripts.
Check the website for screenshots.
6) SOFT RESET the device or run the script "ScanStatus.mscr".
Having trouble?
- If all goes wrong, or you don't like the new skins, you can revert to
the original skin by running the 'Orignal.mscr' script!
- If the link into the Spb Skins sub-menu doesn't work, CREATE IT AGAIN
tapping on the relative .mscr script from the Scripts folder.

TIP : you can perform a system format incase something goes wrong with your omnia by switching the phone on while holding both call and end call . This will allow you to format the device and go back to initial setting like the first time you switched your omnia on.

ok thanks but how come all the people on here that are making class themes dont make em for wqvga aswell?

first: a skin for what ???
second: omnia is new and the only phone with that resolution and making a skin needs many days of work. so why should anyone do that for one percent of the users for free?

i just asked you for what application you want a theme/skin because you wrote nothing about it. and then i answered your question why there aren't so many out. so please dont post here anymore if you have a question or need help noob.

First while there is a wealth of WM information on this forum just remember at the end of the day this is a HTC Forum, not a Samsung Forum.
With that said, I'm a omnia user as well and I would suggest you check out some other forums like Modaco as they have a specific forum for Omnia and you will find more information you might be looking for there.
There will be some discussion on xda forum and I make it a habit to keep in touch with several forums as to broaden my knowledge base.

The H1 is newer, but HI3 is the latest with many improvements see here:

HELP on XPERIA X1

Hi! I'm new here and i don't know if i posted my thread in the correct discussion board. If it is i apologize.
My X1's ROM version is 1.03.931.10
Software version is R2AA010
I want to know what tweak software is compatible with my X1i and please let me know where to get it. I thank you in advance

I have decided to open a Questions and Answers thread on this section of the forum. This is a good way to keep the number of new threads with questions down to a minimum, which will make new threads essentially for people that are contributing to the Alpine. This includes, but is not limited to, people that are providing the following:
- Roms & Kitchens
- Programs & Apps
- Fixes & Tweaks
- Skins & Themes
- Tips & Tricks
I would like to request the help from other members to keep the thread in order and in check. This will have the added side effect of creating an ever self updating knowledge base that will far extend the content of the Wiki. This will in turn save us from having to answer the same question a billion times...

simple question but how do you update your rom? mine is still running on version 1.00.00 wouldnt mine it running on the lastest and also where would i get it from?

the links to pdamobiz from the wiki doesnt work - does someone have a cache from them ?

Batterai Problem,,
my XDA III can not charging the main battery and status at the right of battery indication it says "unknown",,it can only charging to back up battery,,please help,,

my device is xda2i PH10C and i tried to flash a himalya rom wich was fails now it only shows seriel & usb plz help & post the links where i can download a rom with ce image thanx

[FTF] D6602 & D6603 & D6606 & D6616 & D6643 FTF Mega Collection

UPDATE!: Its much easier to Put them all in one place instead of copying each individual link (So Many) So For now on All Updated Firmwares, etc will be in the Model Links Below. I`ll still keep the original links up until they go dead. But other wise I`ll be Updating them in the links below this. Its just a LOT easier to do so.

Now I have nothing to say, but you the good buddies will help this thread, not the I person, to get bigger and of course make for people easier to look for the Z3 FTF files
And also thanks to @gregbradley and @The-Hulk who are this section moderators
You people can link us the Z3 ftf files, but once in a blue moon , I will update this thread and gather all available links, then update the first post
Be aware of the first post, and also look for all Z3 ftf files in this thread

OK 3 things
1. Your OP was a little bit much so i have toned it down a little.
2. This does not belong in Development, it belongs in General where it will be getting moved.
3. This need to have links within 24 hrs, or i will consider this to be a placeholder thread and remove it.
