Well i have finally found a working app that allows you to control your windows media player from your today screen. attached is a image and cab to install. big thanks goes out to the guys over at Artemis forum especially tom_codon for the cab! doesn't do volume but maybe someone can take it apart and add that.

yes i kow about sbptoplay but that does not control your media player. it gives you another media player. this is a imate plugin that allows you to control your media player from your today screen. allows change of songs and play/plause/stop controls.

It plays my WMP10 playlist so that's close enough for me.
not for me and probably others so here is another option for those that want full functionality.
After re-reading my response I realized that may have come across rude... didn't mean to!
I just meant that I thought it was a WMP plug-in.
its more of a htc plugin for windows media player. no prob

First off, I love the WMP application, awsome awsome appl, I really think that Microsoft will pick up this idea.
My reason for this PM is ask you how I can get my windows live search bar to be transparent. Donations will be in order. Please please please.
I installed it on my Black 2.5 phone, but the plugin doesn't show up under the Today plugins. It doesn't show up under the Remove Programs applet either. I'm starting to wonder if I shouldn't have soft reset immediately after the installation like it prompted me to (should have powered down, then powered up).
Can anyone who got this to work please describe how you installed it, and the OS you're running? Thanks!
im running black 2.5 but dont remember if i soft reset or not. i recently did a reinstall of black 2.5 because i had the lost memory card issue in media player and went to 3des.3 but switched back to black bc u know the saying back on topic. i reinstalled it i belive before the vingular video cab which does a soft reset. try to reinstall the app once more and soft reset afterwords if that doesn't work post again and we'll try to figure it out.
Nope, didn't work - subsequent cab reinstalls didn't even prompt me for a soft reset. I did a shutdown, then restart but that didn't do anything either. Installed it to both SD card and main memory.
i had the same problem when i took the cab out of the extended rom. i then downloaded this cab and it worked. hmm go to this thread and try it from there. who knows maybe itll then work. if not then well keep trying.
Yup, the link in that thread worked - the filesize for the CAB is different though. Thanks for the pointers!
updated firts post with correct cab. thats what u get for trying a few till you find out that works on hermes sorry guys!

I hate to make a new thread but I posted for help a week ago on the s2p thread. ITs just so jumbled up there. But now everyone can post s2p or and s2 family program probs here a get some help. Heres my problem. My coverflow wont work. Ive got S2p 0.39. It worked fine and I went to bring up s2p one day & coverflow, where you can slide thru album pis wont come up. Images still show on the now plaing sceen. PLEASE!!!! Someone please take the time to help !!!!
Not exactly sure what you are having the issue with, but does v0.38 work for you? I had some bugs with the newer version running smooth, so I went back a version. Don't forget it's a work in progress, might not work 100% on all devices and ROMs.
Are you having trouble navigating to landscape mode?
Im having prob with coverflow. Before when a song was playing, i could run my finger down the right or left side of the screen and it would bring up a landscape view of all my album covers (coverflow) like it says in the readme file. Its worked fine since installed. I opened the program 1 day, tried it, and now its not working. Instead of bringing up all covers, it brings up on the one playing. I didnt move or change any folders or names. Ive tried to re install, but still doing it! someone please help! I love this feature!

Trying to remove S2P registry, then restart your devices. don't know this can help or not, but if I having prob with S2P I always do that. I think S2P V.0.39 very hard when open song with 192kbps bitrate.

Excelent, the best ROM I ever use. Looks very nice no bugs until now - i use it 2 days - except that you cannot connect to Youtube, but i didnt connect before so for me is not a problem. The Dialer is an old one not very nice but it works very well

had problem with manila2d mail page, freezing while swiping through emails
worked out why, in the mail page it will freeze at some emails. its the size. its able to cope with headers but not with full emails of large size. checked it out in three roms. same emails in all, when deleted works perfectly.

im still having troule with camera album video play back. non existent, buttons dont respond and only way to stop proram is by pressing red button then stop from task manager. anybody got a solution yet.

I dont have pb with V33, and since I migrated to V33F, I have this pb.
I want to know if it's specific to me and my sequence of installation, or not.
Edited: I found my pb: one of my mp3 folders was causing this pb. Don't know why, but as soon as I erase this folder, the pb disapear. It's not a question of limit reached because I added a lot of MP3 and it's still working. It's really this specific folder.
Whit this folder under V33, it was ok.
My Automapa don't work, program loading - stop. Soft reset.

I can't turn on or off wifi from CommManager.This option is there but it is light.I can see if it is on or off,but when I tap on it nothing happens.I must always switch it from settings.

This rom is very stable you must:
install all the cab i uploaded to this message

wifi problem is very simple to solve, go into setting of commanager and manually start wifi, the next restart all will be ok
use advanced config for:
1 enable all energy saving for sd etc
2 set system cache
3 disable sd encryption
now it's all right!!!!!!!!

me too。audiomanager is work normal the first。but it isnt work now
This rom is quite buggy :
- the audiomanager sometimes works
- the camera doesn't work

Finaly working TCPMP for Polaris WM6.1 ROM. Thanks a lot
The problem is because CorePlayer don't play AC3 movies. Almost all new movies have AC3 sound.

I have created a patch CAB to restore the 8 system files that were overwritten by the original Youtube CAB. This is probably the last resort before having to hard reset to get Youtube working (if you had previously installed Youtube before)

I have created a patch CAB, if you do not wish to hard-reset your Xperia to install the X1i-Youtube.cab. But let me know if it works for you, because while this patch CAB does correct the problematic registry entries, it does not correct the 8 system files that the original youtube CAB has overwritten.

At least you can choose the Youtube Panel normally in the Panel display.
Nice work.. But I'm having trouble getting to work. Can you specify exactly which files to install and in what order.
The panel loads, it says "opening" at the bottom for a few seconds and then the desktop goes all white. The taskbar and bottom bar are still visible so it's not a system hang or anything. I just think I may have missed to install something.
You have to install first the Youtube file of zenkinz!
You have to instal it on the device not on the storage card.
And you have to change the youtube.409.mui to your countrycode (for example germany = youtube.407.mui).
You find this file in the windows directory!
Then you install the panel and it is running for me!

There will almost certainly be an official Youtube Panel soon. Youtube is owned by Google, who own a rival OS, but this hasn't stopped them making apps for other mobile OSs.

or does it add something worthy by turning it into a panel?
Just asking cuz i dont need to turn it into a panel if the app works just fine.

1. It loads the panel > starts the youtube app.
2a. If you close the youtube app, you get a blank panel.
2b. If you hit the X-panel button, the youtube app keeps running and you go to the panel page.
Is there anyway to update the cab so that youtube automatically quits when you change panels?
When i run the panel it's keep white...

The youtube app referenced on post 1 works great, apart from the annoying 1 pixel white border left and bottom on full screen (on the X1).
Does this panel display version fix that?

i"ve got the same problem with that white screen
and i did first instal the zenkins and then the panel but i can't find where i can chance my countrycode ( netherlands)
I forgot to change the code and installed both .cab files. Youtube panel is working but when I select a video it just stays on the 'connecting' screen after turning to landscape mode.
Is this because I didn't rename that file?
If so, anyone have a dummies guide to changing it to the UK code?

A X1 noob..
... i am not really sure what went wrong but somehow i can't use any other ringtones anymore.
the ones i got in my dokuments\my ringtones are displayed in the list but when i select them and press on "ok" they change back to the standart ring.
also the option "use as ringtone" is missing in the context menu.
i can imagine it hast sth to do with the wmp, because i installed the HTC Touch WMP Skin from this thread. and now i accidently clicked on the "skins" tab in the wmp menu. since then the skin is back to normal and i wasnt able to change it back again by deinstalling\installing the touch skin again. i tried assigning mp3-files with tcpmp and again with wmp but nothing seems to work so..
what do i have to do select my ringtones again Oo
Sorry for the dumb suggestion, but have you tried to soft reset the device? It seems that WMP is stuck somehow (probably crashed and still running in the background)...
If you haven't already done it, give it a go. It may solve your issue.
