I've tried... didn't bring up anything useful. Though maybe someone here might know something useful.

No, without a root you won't be able to uninstall stock programs!

Thanks you Flamso.
Wouldn't it be nice if the previous commenter said something useful? Well, guess I'm gonna be joining the queue and wait for root....
Hurry up!

Root is not the answer. Certain apps cannot be removed root or no root.

If you modify/remove a system app, updates will fail during the install process.

Thanks! It seems the app is darker than I remember, is it modified in any way? If yes, are there other apps with the same treatment?

You are on which ROM?
I think you need to use an older version of snap. I hear the new version blocks root users.

Just uninstall Xposed framework, log in to snapchat and install xposed if you want again
Yup Snapchat is only blocking users with Xposed not root.

Root will only be attained by fashions custom Kernel that has root built in. This has been the case with the s6, s6 edge (+) and note 5.

No root yet....
anyway is time to make phones able to backup and restore data... i need for authentication app.. and all app that have my data inside and settings...
we need this, phone manufactures around the world ( china)..start building phone for users and not for advertisers... in this new un rooted sgs7 edge, i have nonstop adds and install this game install this app etc....
it strange, because i did pay for my phone, but is not mine ( un rooted) so who is ROOT user... samsung or I am , i payed for my phone...

The method in the XDA link does not work. I have no clue why they have that there. That "root" process installs a few apps to your phone so my guess is that they were paid to put that there.

I have tried contacting them through their contact form but it doesn't seem to work. When I press Send it loads forever.

Helium from Cyanogen is an awesome app (especially paid) to backup/restore data without root.

Looks like xda have finally removed the false root guide

As I noticed that for Samsung Galaxy S7 edge G935F if I am correct is listed in CF-Root webpage, does this mean that we will be able to root safely our phone using Odin and the tar file with traditional method (as TWRP is a bit complicated for me and never tried).
Thank you

Nougat Advanced Power Menu

Anyone created one? Willing to share?
Anyone? Bumping...
Well for one thing, Nougat isn't officially out yet for the S7 units. You might want to ask the beta testers in the beta thread.

I use to use tibu to reboot, even though I got this one installed as well. It's not an issue, I just wondered if I could get the advanced options in the built in menu.
