Hi !
One of the worst thing of acer neotouch is without doubt the speaker, I was thinking to change it but I really think that this is a very difficoult idea.
Is there anyone with some experience to see if this is really impossible ?
I would also be interested--I have a couple of leads in this direction and will let you know

i have a huge prblem with my XDA Mini. The phone has a loose connection that means I cant hear the person, i am calling. When I'm hitting the XDA Mini it works sometimes but not for very long.
I took a small peace of paper and jamed it between SD-Card. This works!?! But its not the real solution for my problem. I bought the XDA over the internet, and thats why i want to wait as long as possible before sending the device to the technical support, because this can take weeks!!
Is there any way to open the XDA to get to the headphone so that i can fix this small issue??? I want do this without leaving a scratch on my PPC because i dont want to loose the warenty!
Please help me!! Thank you in advance!

on MP3 its really clear... on calling the first beep beep is really clear too not the

in the German forum, there are some people who have the problem. you do not?
Its still not a speaker problem but more a disfunctionality of the radiopart of the HD2 or its drivers (or the equalizer or something). You will know what i mean when you try a call via the headset. Same crakling sounds during the call....
BTW Im on 1.48 and it didnt solve the problem for me. Hopefully ths is really a problem of radio-drivers or something...
it sounds like the VU peaks and the sound gets clipped in result. Since not a lot of people have this provlem I doubt we will get a fix before new year if ever. I am shipping my hd2 back.

What I dont understand is How can some people have this problem and some other not ?
I have shipped my HD2 back for a replacement. If the new device has the same problem also then it must either be a bad batch of HD2's or an incompatibility with some carriers and the HD2 radio. Looks like I am going to give the N900 a test drive really soon.
I hope next year people stop being so forgiving to multimillion dollar empires.

i have serious problem . my touch screen is not working anymore
from 2 months i dropped mu phone down and after that the touch become not accurate place ( some times i toch in one place and the phone activate another icon about 1 cm far from my touch ) but after 3 days its become normal again . but now the touch screen its not working at all
i dont know what happened and what is the broplem and haw i can fix it .
any help is appreciated

Sounds a lot like you may need a new screen/digitizer. Does any rings appear on screen, i.e. newton rings?
no , no rings appear on screen
but i feel that the digitizer is little bit up from the lift side thats it

Sounds like the datacabel has been broken... or it moved a little bit which causes the troubles.
I think now it moved to fare so no data gets to the phone.
If you know how, try to open it in order to check the connection.
Let me know if you got it or have questions.
(I hope you understand my english) Otherwise i´m going to say it other words.)

i understand what u mean but i dont know where is this cable and haw i can open the phone and reach it .. if u have image or something i can know from it haw this cable looks like it will be great ..

As i didn´t open mine yet i have no pictures nor could find any on internet. But when you know how to open the phone (the screws on the back) you might be able to fix it by checking the cabel. Befor doing this take a look how the cabel looks like (ebay offers them) So you know where to look at. If your unsure how to do it aske someone to do it.
btw you aren´t form germany, are you? In case you are i could offer you to take a look at it or maybe also fix it.

anyway i will try to find this screw driver and then i will start to open it .
but anyway u dont think its from the digitizer ????? right?
If there arent any bigger scratch i don´t think so. because it would cause, that nothing would work at all but you said it did a couple of times although it was a bit wrong.
The other thing is, that i canßt imagine that the Hardware (the board) is broken because this normaly cause bigger damage and could easly effect the other chips and functions on you phone.
This leads me to my conclusion that the data cabel might be broken or isn´t anymore plugged in.
Please sent some sunshine to germany. I could need some between all the ice and snow ;-)

I think you will easily recognize that i have a bad problem with
my hermes - if you look at the attached pics.
The touchscreen is working, the device is booting too and is working nice...
but, uhm, well - i don´t know how to fix the problem shown in the pic.
I´d be really grateful if you can solve my problem.
I don´t know what to do, i just disambled it and cleand everything, i tried an hardreset... the problem´s still there. =(

We'll see what others think, but looking at picture 3, I'd say your LCD is cracked and the the liquid crystal seeping out a little under te digitizer layer. If I'm correct there is only one practical solution and that is a digitizer LCD combo replacement.
If you replace it be very careful to replace it with the correct one - Hermes had at least three different types and it is essential to get like-for-like.
There is a thread here about the different types.

One way to check if it's a crack is to place some pressure with your finger along that diagonal line - if you see odd colors moving around in a "liquid" way then it is pretty certainly cracked.
Ouch, i also think that, that is a crack.. Did you drop your device or something.? I think you really need to replace your display..

i think a replacement would be too much efford and it also would be too expensive and risky... so i think i gonna buy a new pda... htc of course ;-)

First of all, I wanted to say hi (I am new to the forum )
I received my Sony XAV-AX1000 head unit yesterday, and wired it up this morning. Looks all perfect (good enough for now, will need to disassemble again to do some tweaks, nevermind). I just wanted to know if there’s a way of changing this boring Sony splash screen (and perhaps a wallpaper) to something better. I know there is a possibility of doing this in an AX100 head unit, however, from what I see, the firmwares do not seem to be compatible. Please help, and thank you in advance.

I’m stuck in the same boat too. I love the head unit I installed already! I just wished there were some options that I could use that were able to be used on the AX100 model. If there is a way to gain access to changing the wallpaper and splash screen on the AX1000 model then that would make my radio perfect for my build!! I hope there is something. I’ll keep my fingers crossed.

I recently switched back to Android and totally forgot this unit only does Carplay. So I'm personally on a quest to fix that.
It seems that the real difference between AX100 and AX1000 is software but that's my guess. I know superdavex has done some work on the AX100 but I'm not nearly skilled enough (or in excess of time) to really dive into this kind of stuff.
However, for anyone who is and is interested, that's perhaps where you'd need to go.
