If you keep the keyboard-button pressed you should get a menu where you can choose. So far I haven't really figured out why, but in 8 out of 10 trys it doesn't work, so you just have to keep trying. If you have Total Commander installed then do it in that program, in there I get the menu almost every time...
No, you don't press on the keyboard but the small arrow on the right-hand side of the keyboard icon. That will show all available onscreen keyboards
Dose anyone know how to change the input method with keyboard? Thanks a lot
If you want to use the alternate character for the key you can long press the individual key, press fn for a single use or long press fn for a locked position. The up arrow works the exact same way for capitalization. The ae key brings up the special characters for the entered letter and the smiley face is the emoticon button. The sym key brings up the onscreen keyboard symbols and don't forget to use the .com button while browsing.
Take a look at page 17 of the user manual and it explains things pretty well.
Also note that if you enter the people, messaging, email and search and a couple other things with the keyboard closed you can slide the keyboard open after entering and it will place you in the text field ready to type without an extra screen press. This is a very good keyboard if you get used to it.
Hi,
I'm using Audax L v31.0 with stock kernel on Note3.
On the Samsung Keyboard there are special characters on most of the letter buttons, which can be easily entered when doing a long press on the button. Then a popup box appears and you can select them.
For example on button "s" there is also the bang (!) and other s-variations.
On the shift-button there should be the colon ) available according to its inscription, but a long button press doesn't creates the character.
What I'm doing wrong? Is it a bug?

I use Parboti Keyboard and/or MultiLing O Keyboard to type Bangla. As we have more letters than 26 we need to often press the shift key to type those letters. When I select Blackberry Keyboard (English) and slide open the physical keyboard, I don't have to press Shift and 'a' at the same time to get A. It is as if the Shift key is kept pressed once I press it. I want the same effect on my custome keyboard layout on Parboti or Multiling.
Please guide me someone. Thanks.
