I rooted my phone yesterday installed a energy Rom..
I am now wondering what to do where can i get apps etc...
I had the iphone it was unlocked and used cydia to get free aps..
is there anything like that for the US version of the HD2?
Again sorry for asking a newb question. but no time to surf right now..

ok so i went to that site, downloaded the application via my pc.. I extracted it.. sent it to my phone in a file i named cab tried to install it. .and it keeps giving me the eroor message that " there is no application associated with "XXX" run the app first then open this file within the application.. .
so can some one help a brother out please..looking around and everyone says install the cab file.. but i promise you i dont see a cab file.

you aren't unpacking the cab on the pc are you? the pc will see cabs as archives, but they aren't. put the cab on your phone and run it from there.

How did u root your hd2, LINK???
ok so with wifi enabled im trying to login than it says internet connection failed.. well the internet is fine since im posting this from my phone.. any ideas whats wrong?

yeah i just downloaded the app on my phone..
now i too am getting the cannot connect..
I am also getting "the file Arkswitch cannot be opened" during start up

I'm guessing you are running the stock rom, but there are millions of sites out there. Just google windows mobile themes....

well the stock rom is the windows mobile thatcame with t-mobile that thing is buggy as h*ll but if u go to rom development u will actually find some roms to ur likeing basically i would sugget looking into the Open Touch roms from ttran

Hi, just recieved my HTC HD2 yesterday, and have been reading these forums all day, there are some really cool themes and stuff for this phone. Could somebody please talk me through simply how to load them. I have checked my ROM, and its not the latest version. Do I need to update it ? How do I do it ? do i need to load the files onto my PC first ?? Please somebody talk me through this in a simple way. I love the phone, but am frustrated that I cant get any of these cool things onto it !!!!

You can't have been reading very much, there are 2 seperate forums, one for roms and one for themes, both have guides on everything you want to try!
I have been reading alot, but it doesn't really explain how you get the ROM, Themes, etc. from the link to your phone, I have managed to do the HSPL, but cant get any further, I have downloaded winzip files, but dont know what to do with them, do I have to download to my PC, or to my phone, Do I sync it, or just send the files to the phone. ?????????

only change the rom if your not happy with it.
u can still customize your phone with out changing your rom.

ok i have a question ,, i am using the legend rom ,, i just downloaded the live wallpaper signed zip ,, i installed it i find the live wallpaper option but it wont launch even the cube wallpapers ,, am i doing something wrong ?

I cannot download anything. The file acts as if it's going to download, but as soon as the progress bar comes up it finishes instantly and the file size is 138kb. I have tried downloading both the Sense able ROM and the Eris Radio, same outcome for both.

What browser are you using?
The site is tested and working in Linux (Chrome/Firefox) and Windows (IE8/Firefox/Chrome)
Probably an issue with a firewall or your browser settings.

"I vote sticky" means I think we should make this thread a sticky so it stays at the top of our forums for all to see, wasn't referring to you. And don't worry, no ones offended. Its just that this thread was started to post the website hosting all eris ROMS by GrdLock, not to walk people through live wallpaper patch installs.
Just start your own new thread to ask the question and people will be much more inclined to help.

I was using internet explorer (I think 8) I retried using Firefox and I think it's working now, thanks.
Download issues
OK, I am using Firefox now and nothing will download over 70 MB, it downloads until about 67-70 MB and then finishes incomplete???
Im on Windows 7 Ultimate downloading with firefox, and after 2 tries, the root rom corrupted on download both times. MD5 is not matching up.
I'm not sure what might be causing that issue for ya'll. I successfully downloaded files using 5 different browsers on my linux box and Windows virtual machine, as well as Firefox and IE on an actual Windows computer, i downloaded a rom using my phone, and went to the apartment office's business center and used one of their old ass computers with horrible internet and the rom still downloaded fine.

I am having the same issue, tried from work and thought it was the firewall, got home tried on windows and ubunutu VM, stops at 68.8M everytime???
Should of added, i am trying to D/L the sensable rom havent tried others yet
Hmm, that file downloads perfectly fine for me. I got two people in the IRC room to download the Sense-Able rom and it went perfectly fine for them as well.
I'll submit a ticket to my webhost though. If people are having download issues then they need to fix whatever's causing them. I'll post back when I hear back from them. I upgraded my hosting package just to accommodate the bandwidth to host this stuff.
So far I'm counting 3 people who have download issues? If anyone else has problems please let me know so I can tell my webhost.

ok so i had the 1.2 overclocked rom downloaded to my verizon galaxy tab and downloaded a flipping verizon update and it reset my tab . i lost the market and ofcourse all my nice stuff. can anyone point out the easy way to get market back please

Re-download and try again.
Tried that about 100 times hehe. Unfortunatly always does the same thing. Unable to parse. Not sure what that means or what im doing wrong. Thank you for trying to help though.

Hello guys,
Im running WP7 version 7.0.7392.0 on my HTC HD2 on Orange. Everything is 100% working except I cant receive MMS, I can send them though! I have entered the correct APN(orangeinternet) but no joy at all. I have heard if I get the HTC connection app I could solve this but as pkola629 has said its NOT in the marketplace so where is it?

Wow this is an old thread!!,
Download and install the developer tools first then download the xap file from the link above.
There are threads on here that will explain it totally for you how to deploy it, try using the search function but there is a help section
