1350 mAh batteries from China - HD2 General

I bought one off ebay for 9 USD. I fully charged the thing turned on the phone, and no surprise tBattery showed it as only 1230 mAh battery. If you want a cheap, as in doesn't fit well in your HD2, replacement get one of them, but do not expect it to be a higher capacity battery.

Test it with a volt meter anyways. WM battery meter sucks and it might not be giving you the right info as it isn't an original battery.

'Bigger' (more powerful) battery?

hi, i was wondering if anyone is using, or has used an 'extended' 2400 mah battery-the normal battery is 1350 mah?
2400 mah mah batteries are common on ebay etc. so i was thinking of getting one but i have a few questions if anyone has used one...
-do they work?
-quality?
-battery life?
-any other problems?
thanks

I bought one quite soon after buying my TyTn.
To answer your questions (based on my experience):
- it worked out of the box, first time. Full charge from the mains.
- the quality was superb. As its a thicker battery, you get a new back piece.
- heres the rub: battery life was no better than with my normal battery. I discharged and re-charged about 4 times, but to no avail. I was bitterly disappointed with it, and now it just sits in my bag as a spare battery. I've not used it since.
- no other issues.
Hope this helps

crap then!
i have a 2600 battery that i got from daydeal.

if you use directpush or stream audio or otherwise extensively use the dataconnection you will not get much better life out of the battery.
if you set your mail sync to 10 minutes or more and longer during off peak times then it will give a lot of battery life.
I was able to get 40+ hours out of my phone with a 2 hour charge in the middle.
mine increased the life of my phone but a large margin.
I could use it all day as an mp3 player and occasionally get mail.
The dataconnect sucks down the battery at an enourmous rate.
I got the Seidio 3200 mAh pack for mine and it has worked great. The only problem I have is the added thickness, but you can't add that much and put it in the same space. I leave the push mail on all day and I can go 2.5 days between charges. In fact I have yet to go below 50% batt. life.
my 2 cents worth
I bought this and it is GREAT and even BETTER PRICE. Seido was good but pricey when I was shopping.

I bought a 2800 a couple of months ago. It works great I never seen my battery drop below 50%. Also it came with a extra charger and a car charger.
What about a good replacement battery that doesnt require a larger back plate?
I just ordered the 1500 mAh pack from Seidio last night( can't get used to the 3200 mAh hump pack)and I will let you know which one works better. Depending on which one I like better, I'm going to sell the other on on the Bay .
I had an extended cheap battery from eBay. It worked for about 3 weeks then stopped working for some reason. Time to order an expensive but high quality piece.

My new 1500 works fantastic, now I can get through ~36 hours before it dies on average. My original battery was barely lasting 12 hours. but it was 9 months old.
With the inherent issues with Lithium Ion battery you really dont want to be putting any old PoS battery in there. Unless you have a spare Hermes for when your's melts or goes pop due to a bad/faulty/cheap battery.
I assume HTC sell official batteries?

Having Battery Problems???

The stock battery is 700mah, so if any of you are having battery problems I reccomend getting the 1400mah battery. It is the exact same size as the regular battery so it wil not make your device any bigger.
This is where I bought it (this EXACT item from this EXACT ebay seller)
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=170225781410
uhh, my stock battery is 1500mah
I think I'm running Siedio's 1650 slim battery - gives me just enough juice to get through the day with slightly above average useage.

that means you didnt get a brand new one, but a refurb or used. they ship from the factory with 700mah's. someone probably owned it before you did, upgraded the battery and then resold it to you, telling you it was new. you cant have one with a 1400 or 1500mah battery unless its been preowned and manually upgraded.
My stock battery is also 1500mah.
My brother-in-law's is also 1500mah.
My boss's is also 1500mah.
Hmm, I'm seeing a pattern here. Verizon is selling refurbs as new!

my battery is 7000 mha i placed two 3500mha batteries together by sodering wires to the second battery and also the first one and then pluging them into the phone. I phone now lasts two days on a charge. it does take 24 hours to charge them....

I also got a 1500 on my Verizon. I have upgraded to the 2100. I can make it a day an half with a few emails checking ever hour and frequent web surfing.
Just took a look at my mogul, it's 1500 mAh Model BTR6800.
My stock battery is 1500mAh as well.. just checked. I have a 3500mAh battery on order from Seidio.. hopefully it'll be here soon. I'm an extremely heavy user so my stock battery takes a pounding.
I have both an OEM 1500 and a non-OEM 2400 extended battery.

New High Capacity 1530 mah Batteries?

Hi folks,
I am seeing 1530 mah batteries on sale in eBay now. They are supposed to be the same size as the original 1350 mah battery. My problem is that the image used to display the battery is the same as the image used to display the original 1350 mah battery. (Part number: 35H00120-01M)
So, is this a "rip off" or are the sellers just lazy and use an "old" image?
Does anyone have any experience with these new high capacity batteries that they can share with this forum?
Thank you,
David
Hmm... well you also see sellers on Ebay flogging adaptors specifically to convert the audio output of the Touch HD to a 3.5mm socket... Puzzled.
My experience with cheap far east batteries for various products is very mixed. I've had some really good ones at silly low prices, yet some others that were no good at all.
Sometimes they omit protection devices from the batteries to save cost, which can make them more prone to blowing up especially if inadvertently overcharged or short-circuited. Omitting this protection can also help make room for larger capacity cells.
Usual phrase applies: "buyer beware".
Personally I would avoid.
I have used a lot of 3rd party batteries before and I would say 95% of them are rubbish especially the ones where they claim higher capacity for the same physical size. I have used larger batteries that comes with its own custom battery cover. Only these types of batteries have lasted longer than the original.
At the end of the day HTC, Nokia, SE, Samsung etc. would want to pack the highest possible capacity for a given space while maintaining safety standards. They know what they're doing... They want to "squeeze" as much as possible to make our devices smaller. Cheap 3rd party manufacturers are not going to have the same clout.
Li Polomer ? Battery from another phone??
Could the difference in capacity be due to an upgrade in technology? That is moving from a straight Li ion battery to a Li ion polymer battery?
Further to this discussion, are there any other batteries from another make / model phone / PDA that is 100% compatible with the HTC Touch HD AND has a higher capacity than the original 1350 mah?
Thank you,
David
I would say it has to be a few months more before any decent extended battery appears in the market.
Stupid question: Has the Diamond (or the Touch Pro) the same batteries, or at least the same size? I think there will be more battieres for the Diamond right now, as it has been published a few weeks earlier.

Diamond and Touch Pro share the same battery. i have a second HTC OEM Blackstone battery for backup. the ebay posting could also be a typo; 1350 vs. 1530? if i'm going for extra capacity, it will be with a battery that provides at least 25%+ more capacity.

New technologies tend to be more expensive when they are brought to the market to cover development costs, and it's very rarely, that cheap asian products represent newest technologies, which is not used by the big manufacturing companies ...
Hi Guys,
If you are looking for good and reputation battery source,
you can proceed to www.worcell.com
They provide high quality batteries, be it normal or high capacity.
I bought an O2 Atom Life battery. It could last me 3 good days with high usage.
Now, I'm still waiting for them to produce the Blackstone battery. I definitely will get
one space battery!

Well i think it's an typo. 1530 - 1350. Why not 1600 or something else. 1530mAh is a verry strang capacity for a battery.
HTC MAX 4G T8290 battery
I thought perhaps the 1500mAh battery that comes with the MAX 4G might fit into our Touch HDs. But the MAX is slightly thicker than the HD which may explain a bigger battery..
That Worcell site looks promising.

I agree. A little patients will be beneficial. I envisage a 1800 mah or 2200 mah extended battery option soon. It will come with a matching back, to allow for the extra thickness of the battery. This would not put me off, as I have used a PDA with a "piggy back" second battery for years. (It would not win a beauty contest, but it lasted for days.)

David

[Q] What is my actual mAH on my new battery

Hi.
I recently bought a new Fat battery for my desire. It promises to deliver 2600 mAH but i have my doubts...
First of all, only the voltage is printed on the battery itself.
Second, I experience worse uptime than on my original 1400 mAH battery.
Third, I guess Iam just sceptical by nature.
So my question: Is there an app out there that will display max capacity?
Or do I really have to measure it with a multimeter?

the only way to measure precisely is using an app called
battery monitor widget
have it measure the current and voltage every 60 seconds
fully charged ur volatge suppose to be at ~4.2V with either battery
the drainage suppose to be the same at screen off
lets say ur phone drains 9mA steady
u should see the voltage sinking slower on the higher capacity battery
i would give it an hour or 2 hours on each battery to check the result
example:
1400mAh battery
steady 9mA current over 2 hours from 4200mV down to 4150mV
2600mAh batter
steady 9mA current over 2 hours from 4200mV down to 4175mV
hope it helped^^

This shows the mAh.
if you brought the £13 one made in China from ebay (like I did) then it's a total fake the stock battery lasts longer, the only good thing about it is because the back cover is that much thicker you can rest it on it's side to watch movies etc...!

Very interested in these batterys.
Whats the warranty and how long would it take to ship to Aus?
If the picture's anything to go by, this guy's selling the OEM battery on eBay for under $20 including postage.
Doing a search on eBay for "HB4F1" (the battery code) yields many cheaper results, though their photos indicate that they're aftermarket rather than the original.
If you do decide to buy one, I'd suggest you refrain from leaving feedback until you've had a chance to test it for a few days to confirm that you're getting at least the same life as you got with your original battery.
Based on past experience (with other 'phones), you'll never get anywhere near the rated capacity with "no-name" (and in "no-name" I also include Mugen et al) batteries; they're really only good for emergency back-ups rather than replacing your existing battery. And you'll NEVER get more than the OEM battery's capacity, no matter what the aftermarket manufacturers tell you.

$99 for one battery? I prefer buy 3 or 4 standard bateries and swap when they gets empty lol
I would love to have one of these especially the 3600 mah
ive heard that 1800mah is something like failure or fake, it doesnt last that longer than the 1500mah one. also except that the 3600mah is soooo fat i think its really expensive also considering the fact that it might be used and of course not certified
I buyed two of this batteries. My batteries production date 1,5 year ago and it's lighter than orginal battery. These batteries are waiting for emergency call (if orginal batter empty in a emergency situation) I never charged them and i dont know performance. I am just tested them on my phone. They are %50 charged and phone can working with them.
Have they the same size as a normal one?
the site shows a big back cover.
Nope, they are fat fat that's why they had custom back cover.
