So, so far with every OC Rom I've tried (both versions of FreshToast and all recent versions of DarchDroid) I'm getting the same problem: the phone will hang up at the first HTC screen at boot.
I wiped, partitioned the sdcard as 32mb swap, 512mb ext2 and remainder fat32. Then converted ext2 -> ext3. I've tried just about everything, from reflashing the ROM, to repairing sd:ext, to re-partitioning. Nothing works.
ADB doesn't detect the phone, so I can't do a logcat. I did manage to get the last 2 last_kmsgs though, so they're both linked below.
First:

Second:

If a dev could take a look at these and tell me what the problem is I'd really appreciate it! I'd LOVE to try one of the OC roms but I haven't been able to
Thanks for your help in advance.

Mind posting what version of radio your using, as that may affect things perhaps. (i really don't know, but radio does control alot)
Btw, i think this more belongs in the general section than development, but hey, lets have the mods be the judge of that.
I have the exact same issue, just posted in the fresh toast thread. Tried with partitions and without, ext2, 3, and 4. Multiple downloads. No luck...
edit: I have the latest sprint radio, 2.42.00.03.10

Do you have any issues with a non-OC ROM?
It looks like your phone is failing at various different points in the kernel (which could be the result of the OC...not really sure.)

Don't know if this helps at all but I'm using a 1.5 rom with a kernel based on toast's latest release I had this same issue multiple times and I got it working by not pushing any files to /data/app or /system/app and restoring with the 1.56 RUU before hand. I don't think they support ext3, 4 either so I went with a ext2 partition. My hero is flying!

UUgghhh..... was this necessary to add a thread like this in the development thread? Builds run different for everyone so you have to try them out yourself. I havent had an SOD in atleast a month so you might be doing something wrong.
My advice is use the search at the top!
Pointless............
Try a new radio, worked for me
Try changing your radio and rom and then use newer android builds...

Well your on T-Mobile to so you can try the setup in my sig. Best setup I've found.
I also get many freezes on TMobile HD2 only if i m using Sandisk 16GB memory card,
Whenever i tried booting android from 2GB Kingston, it boots faster and runs without any SOD
jst it restricts the content capacity :/
I haven't had a SOD in over a month.
Using 2.14 radio and VBN WM rom.
I've used about ten different roms during that time and I've been using various EVO kernels during that time.

YES, I think sigs are important if they want help in the forums. I think sigs should be mandatory... or atleast include the setup with the question.
Signature is not signature anymore, people use it to show off, advertise....
*Update Radio
*Do a Task29
*Read What the Builder say about the build and what Rom he recommends
*while Reading BACKUP your SD Card and Reformat it
*Download the build & Transfer it to your sd card (whatever method you use on how to transfer your file from sd reader or direct connection to phone ALWAYS RESTART YOUR PHONE before running android.
*After first boot Restart your phone again*** (i always do this when i see the lock screen, i dont do the "setup phone" first

First off, this is VERY early beta, nightly build test stuff...
There are many bugs, gps doesn't work.
Thanks to Cyanogen and team.
Thanks to Aery for the compiled build.
Thanks to glitterballs for the kernel.
I take not credit for this, except putting it together in a single flashable zip for you guys.
If you don't know what CyanogenMod is, you should probably sell your android device and get an iPhone
This is flashable thru clockworkmod / rom manager.
Flash Cognition first, enable voodoo, boot up completely, then flash this.
Have fun guys...

Have you had 850 working before? You need to enable 850 before Odin to JPM.
How can you enable it before JPM?? Every time I've tried accessing that particular setup on a non i9000 it won't let me in. That's why I stopped messing with them.

Look around man, there have to be at least a half dozen i9000 ROMs where people are successfully using the 850 band. If I recall you had to enable it on JI6 or maybe it was JG8. I only had to do it once and it was...a month or so ago by now.
This seems super snappy! But, why is there no Market app?
Also FYI, after first boot it would not recognize my external SD card until I ejected it and replaced it.

It says my phone needs to be GSM (I'm guessing that means unlocked) which my phone isn't. What is a good radio to flash? and do i need to do it before i flash a rom?
GSM means that it's a standard phone that works in any country. ie: it's not CDMA, which mean that it doesn't need special frequencies from the service provider.

like lo2ay already said GSM ("Global System for Mobile Communications") doesn''t mean "unlocked" and has nothing to do wih it.
But in case you didn't unlock your phone - and I'm not getting you totally wrong - this brings up a much more interesting question: if you don't have an unlocked Wildfire - how the hell have you been able to flash a ROM anyway? I'd guess one of the following might match your situation:
- you have a different phone (not a HTC Wildfire)
- you just thought you're going to flash a ROM but did something else instead
- your Wildfire is unlocked and you don't know it
Are you really serious about what you've done? What tutorial/how to did you use to flash Cyanogen Mod?
And yes: if your phone is a Wildfire (buzz) and not unlocked/rooted you can't flash a new radio because you can't flash anything custom...
I think he was meaning sim unlocked?

oh yes - I've been thinking about that for a few seconds - you're probably right.
Regarding my own little problem which I've also discussed a bit desperately here: may I ask you what you would try next with all your Wildfire experience? (I've never been really convinced that the V6 Supercharger or 3G Turbocharger scripts could be involved but after reading that a few people got that bootloop prob with 3G after messing around with them it looked so obvious).
I feared to investigate any further because I had the feeling it could cost a lot of time... so when I went on to solve the problem it turned out I was right with that: I've flashed the 7.2 stable today - with doing just a dalvik and system wipe without success and then a complete wipe - no success either.
I fear to revert back to a true stock rom (including s-off again) as it took me a lot of sweat to do that initially (that has been just in the middle of transformation from revolutionary to alpha rev with all the goldcard stuff etc.) - too make it short: what would you do?
Thx in advance for some input on this...
I would first check my mtd size settings! If you dont know what custom mtds are it means your not using them,if you are using them then you must remember to flash the bravo boot file straight after your rom flash before booting! If this is not your issue then i would do a clean flash of a rom. I.e wipe system, cache, dalvik cache, go into mount and storage and do all available wipes NOT sdcard, then flash the rom. If all fails then i would 1st try a reflash of a custom recovery and repeat previous clean rom flash. Now if it still didnt play ball i would scream at it, throw it at a wall then regret that step and move on to ruu.exe and start afresh lol.
On the v6 etc etc issue. Ive publicly said many times how much i hate this script and others like it! But this is only my opinion as i have had issues using them too in the early days. An app i use still to this day which gives you complete control over the effects of these scripts is autokiller memory optimizer. I will link to a thread i made some time ago to explain this app which can be found on the market.
This again can and most likely will be argued or debated as to its function but in my experience its a must have when used correct.

Sorry i only just noticed your link so my advice was for current op issue. However yes i believe these scripts are the cause im afraid. Still i would give you the same advice again as above or try a clean sense rom flash.
You can get safe ruu flashable zips too so as not to lose security or root so try these before going the exe route.
Hope you get a fix.

Now it's getting really weird... I've just put in a different SIM (out of the family) - different carrier. (the idea came to my mind somehow). Looks like the phone doesn't reboot with that.
If that's true and not by accident - what does that mean now? Usually I'd think about the radio - but I've completely wiped the phone (including a sense install in between) - could this be a hardware problem?
I guess I'll do the RUU thingy anyway. So I'll start to gather information on that.
If anyone has a good suggestion to do that as easy and quick as possible - I'd appreciate any suggestions.
--- EDIT ---
If someone has a suggestion for a small Sense ROM (yeah I know) I'd prefer to do that first...
Guys, I got huge problem!
I don't know if this happened to someone but it's very bad.
I am in big trouble with installing games right now, they kill my android, I mean kill really, after installing few best games, which I really want to play, my android drain the battery in 12 hours and even when he have enough battery he crash and after that he do not turn on anymore!
To start use the phone I have to install a backup to original to run it again.
Someone know something about that?
How it is possible and HOW AVOID THIS AND INSTALL ANY GAME?
Help.:crying:
Is your phone a tmo or eu? Are you using an a2sd script? is it just with games or it's about apps in general?

hey, my phone is TMO, I am new to android and I am astonished what Android can run without changing hardware but you ask me to much, I don't know what it's a2sd script and is first time I think about it! How can I know which I have?
After installation I start installing games and I got problems so I can't confirm right now if I have the same issue with apps too, that will be a massive problem!
What can I do to let you help me?

ok, I can confirm that, it's in general! :crying:
I just try to install Absolute System Root Tool and he crashed, immediately and completely.
This never happened with games, I was able to play with few games but when I leaved the phone in standby he crashed by him self.
Where is the problem?
You have a tmo, so forget about the a2sd script.
Which bootloader do you have (clk or magldr) ? and what rom are you using ? and what is your recovery partition.
P.S.: Was it you who installed Android on it or you bought it already installed/let someone do it for you?

Ok, I do not have CLK ot MAGLDR, I downloaded Mdeejay eVo Sense v. 2.3Revolution, kernel Hastarin 7.7, Android 2.2 but they call 2.3 for from last update. I do not use recovery partition because there are not partitions, all is on sd fat32 partition, basicly old stuff, but I like the rom. I put all the package folder (Android) into my sd, the type Android is based on rootfs.img, and I run it from Windows Mobile 6.5 with Android Launcher. First time he boot in 10 minuts because he had to made the fresh data.img of 1024MB. After he boot I reboot 3 times and he working very well, the problem comming when I try to install app or games, fully sure.
All the work I did by my self, few tip here and there, thanks XDA ofcurse.

Any idea?
Hmmm .. to be honest with you, the last time I used an sd-build was about 2 years ago. I do not know what may cause such an issue. It could be the sd-card's partition since you are unable to "write data" to the "data.img" file. Or it could be a problem with that particular build.
Can you try the same build on a different sd card?
I remember having some problems, and a format of my sd-card usually solved them. (due to leftovers from previous roms) << you can try this one as well.
I am sorry, I am not experienced in sd-roms.

I was thinking exactly about do that, I got now the last Sandisk Micro SDHC 32GB Class 10 and I am unhappy because she don't work well from the first time. The first day I put the OS Android into this card he never turned on. I formatted the card with CMD and the card start working a little bit faster than before but not really well, also Android start working. Today I already paid for Samsung 32GB Class 10.
But what if I change the card and I will have same problems?

I mean, format the sd card to remove any leftovers from previous roms.
Oh stop it, you :3
But come on, everyone with 100 posts is a senior. I may be a senior in particular subjects to a limit, but when it comes to sd card, I'm sorry .
I am also wondering why you didn't have so many replies.
Anyway, report back and I will try my best.

I try to think about that and I get confused a little bit, if I am unable to "write data" to the "data.img", in this situation if I install ANY app or Games, which issue I will have? An immediate crash, Right?
or the program will be installed wrong and will never work. So why the Games working and also Android still working after installing few games and he crash leater? data.img compromised?
I will be glad if someone will have an answare for that.

What do you think? am I so bad?
ohh, right! now I know, It's because I do not use my brain! Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha.................. I am vary bad!
Since you are running sd builds(you didn't tell me anything about that) it's you card problem. Try deleting everything from .android secure(you're now losing apps from previous rom) because I think that the new rom is trying to overwrite the old one. I was using sd build but this problem is totally unfamiliar with me.
Anyway, install android on your HD2 on NAND, strongly recommended, or native sd since you mentioned that you have class 10 sd card.
I can give you a great tutorial that I've found on youtube if you want, or search the xda, there are a few good ones.

Sorry, I don't know how to define all the Android build so I get confused. Now I should know, SD Builds are the OS like mine on sd fat32, Native SD are the OS on partition ext4 and they can be installed with MALGRD, ok, and NAND are flashed on ROM. Too many thing for me to learn and also my english is not so good.

I can't on NAND, I have to have Windows Mobile 6.5 because I have full Unlocked TomTom and few app which working fine, Windows Mobile also working well, (just forget bluetooth) and if the SD Build will continue to give me problem with the NEW Samsung microSD class 10 I will probably install Native SD for sure, I hope it will be stable and fast without problems.

Well, I have provided all the information that may be related to fixing your problem.
Now, I think you have to either change your rom, wait for other answers or just live with it.

No way, I hope you understand , I try to make it work but I alrady paid today for another one HTC HD2 , so 1 I use daily with Windows Mobile 6.5 and the "new" one when comes I try to make it work with Android.
AND, when I finally will understud how to have 2 OS on 1 HD2 perhaps I am happy. :fingers-crossed:
Ok, Guys, problem solved, was the microSD!
Yes, the crap Sandisk Class 10 (28mb/s in Read, 15mb/s in Writing) this time let me down, I changed the sd and the Android do not crash anymore and I can install apps and games also.
The battery life,is not so long but this actually can be resolved too, I will try new Androids anyway to find the best set-ups for me.
Thanks for all the support and and tips.
I figured I'd start a thread for this ROM.
My first question or bug report not sure which...
When turning on 2G networks only, it changes preferred networks to GSM only.
Makes sense.
Only problem is when coming out of 2g only mode, it changes the preferred network to wcdma not LTE.
There a way to change that or that just how its designed?
Thanks.

This thread will be obsolete once i get the official Q & A thread started. It will be kinda like the one i have for the sgs3 here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1781242. I'm already working on it.
In the mean time, may I ask if sdxc 64gb cards are supported in exfat? My stock rom had no problems with it but aokp won't mount it saying, "blank or unrecognized card."
Do I need to format to fat32?
TWRP still recognizes and reads files of of the card with no issues.
Thanks task.

Twrp still reads it because it's a 4.2.2 aosp problem (I'm pretty sure at least). I am curious if formatting the card would help but I doubt it b/c it didn't help on 4.2.2 on the s3. It's a minor inconvenience but personally I'm just glad to get TW off this thing. Thanks Task! I didn't think the first build would be really buggy or anything but I did expect some minor issues on the first build. Couldn't have been more wrong though, is so fast and stable it's not even funny.

Yah. Was just curious about it. And Task, you are my favorite person in Oregon. You have worked hard giving us a great ROM and I really appreciate it!
Is there a way to Turn ON/OFF the Wireless Tethering function from the Power Menu, Desktop Shortcut or Notification Bar Icon?, thanks

No you won't lose them unless you delete them yourself. But you won't be able to use them unless you flash back to the recovery that they were made from.
Thank u sir

If I'm reading the notes in the release thread, there is currently no bluetooth call audio on the latest task650 AOKP release, correct?
Can someone please post a video on how to do this step by step.... Would greatly help many of us.
Pretty please

If he needs a step by step video of how to install the ROM then I would suggest him to not flash anything to his device until he reads up on these things more. Otherwise I see him bricking his phone in the near future.

How is that even possible? The instructions are simple and slapped right in your face. 1, make sure you have OUDHS, 2, full wipe then flash. Couldn't possibly get any easier and if people can't figure that out then they should not be modding hardware

Easy as Pie to flash task roms it already has the kernel in it. it's full proof!
Does it takes some time for the Task650 ROM to fully leverage and use the battery to its maximun potential?, with the Stock TW ROM I was getting around 0.5[%/hr] battery usage/drainage with the phone fully idle, measured by BetterBatteryStats, right now I am getting around 3.5[%/hr] battery usage/drainage with Task650 AOKP ROM, comments are welcome, thanks
NOTE: I've been measuring Deep Sleep with CPU Spy and with BOTH ROMs Deep Sleep will be around 93% to 97%
