The way Sony Ericsson is trying to fragment the windows mobile community with its exclusive 'panels' is really negative..

Well. Panels has been ported to HTC Blackstone. Its gonna be a while before it gets ported to Diamond and then we can have this Fb panel working in Diamond.

Would like to see the Facebook Panel ported to the HTC Touch Diamond too. I think that a Facebook Application is about the one thing that really should be on the Touch Diamond as many new phones are including a Facebook application. I'm sure it won't be too long though before someone ports it to the Diamond.
I really like the look of the one on the Xperia X1 too. It's about as good as the iPhone one in my opinion and its good that there are more and more Windows Mobiles appearing now. Surely that can only help increase the chances of someone creating an application that many people seem to want.
i believe one is in the works in the "hacking and development" thread already. new app though. not ported.

Yea yab yab works but it's all in Russian so I have no clue what it says. I like the yota music player too but it wont launch. Someone port it to the x1 pls

Change config file.
It's a xml file. And the and it says what language to use
Change language from rus to eng and everything is in english

Hi, i installed yota contacts and since i could not open it, i also installed sdkcerts, but nothing changed..did you install the sdkcerts attached to the yota thread?

you dont need to map any keys at all it replaces the original dailer and contacts i think but any way you wont see the original dailer and contact .... and if you for some reason dont like it you can just uninstal it an get the original back the way it was .... and it works great for me

I am not sure if the battery problem came from Yota.
I asked if anyone got the same problem after installing it...
Nope, no battery issues here.
I'm not using the dialer version as I prefer the HD slide to answer.
Well... i used this a long time back, but couldn't recall why i uninstalled it. And so installed it again today.
And it was 'coz it doesn't work in landscape mode! (not WVGA compatible)
the contacts part is GREAT
BUT:
I made my experia show contacts in Outlook Contacts as "firstname lastname" (with contactFix), but in the Yota contacts i see then "last, first", any idea how to inverse them?

did you use Yota_contact_WVGA version? You mean this version doesn't work on landspcape mod???
The Yota apps didn't work on my Xperia at all, even with the skcerts installed. Messed it up pretty good too

I have Skype installed and the panel isn't working properly at all, it just launches Skype.
a good choice of panels, the on the road panel is pretty good, the cnn panel crashed my phone after going back to the panel manager.

I love the On the Road panel and hopefully it adds support for TomTom and other GPS navigators. I wish it enabled Bluetooth or made that easy since it is a driving panel.
the on road panel, and the cnn panels are working fine.
skype and iphone panels are not working.
All the four panel are working fine (considering that they are beta) with the panelmanager from the beta R3A rom.
I mean the four beta SE panel (incl. MyTopia), I did not try the iPhone panel, because it's custom made and to tell the truth I don't like the iPhone

but the iphone panel i unusable for people who dont have the apps installed the buttons link to... so its not so good for me ^^
the on the road panel is pretty good for daily use =)
cant say sth about skype and cnn panel because i didnt try them yet
Wow, that's great, I think I've read they will be released 31st March, maybe these are beta versions... I'll try them later with my X1 (R2AA official)...

Because it's beta! The balloons will be in the final (at least I hope)
not sure o2 uk will be happy for me to use skype as i have unlimited data lol
lol, be careful with that if you use it, i work for o2 and unlimited doesn't mean completely unlimited, it's actually around 300mb.

You need to select it in settings
Yesterday I installed the latest official firmware ROM update for the Xperia X2 (from SEUS)
It is Software version R1BA023
For the first time, I am pleased with Sony Ericsson for the update
Here's a list of changes and what's new:
1.- "Fast GPS" app (sort of SE's version of "quick GPS")
2.- VideoCall support added to the dialer and context menus, along with a proper configuration app @ settings
3.- FM Radio has been incorporated into slideview
4.- Tilewave Panel has been updated:
now it has a handy battery status tile and the hour bug seems to be fixed
5.- SlideView has been enhanced:
many new buttons and features to sync and write emails, call list display, etc
6.- The WM 6.5 SYS|XIP has finally been updated
to the more stable CE OS 5.2.21891 (Build 21891.5.0.88)
This newer build solves many SYS related bugs: now it holds ringtones, returns to the start menu when closing an app, etc
The downturn: xtrakt and experiment 13 have both been removed
(but hey who cares, we have CABs for them)
PS: I am sorry for my late replies and scarce appearances here, I almost never connect to xda-devs any more (no X2 forum here)
I'm 100% X2 now, no more X1 dev for me

Too bad you're not present as frequent as you were, I like the time pionering the early 6.5 builds with you....
But...we all gotta move on sometime (I still got about 8 months left before I can trade my X1, hopefully by that time WP7 phones will be avialable).
Thanks for the info on X2....wished SE did some proper updates on X1 like they are now doing on X2 (maybe they've learned from their mistake).

I tested the mini and mini pro at the Cebit here in Germany serveral month ago (before Release of X10).I liked them very much but for me they was too small
My girlfriend waits for the mini pro to get released.
Very cool phone, but for me its too small. i always think that i can loose it without recognizing

ell have both the phones and I prefer the Mini to the X10. Nice to be able to use the phone one handed for once.
Yea... I have here the X10, X10mini and X10mini pro...
I must say the minis are too small... the X10 has the right size but in some cases I think sometimes it could be a little smaler... waiting for Shakira... Maybe this will replace my X10... we will see...
But what I like on the minis are the smooth working UI. Cool animations without lagging.

You could install the HelixLauncher 1.2 Donut version on the Mini and have a regular homescreen if you want....

My girlfriend got her X10 mini today after a long wait, but unfortunately YouTube doesn't seem to be on the phone, I even did a hard reset and it still didn’t appear, it’s a sim free x10 mini. Anyone have any ideas on how to get YouTube on there? Seems odd since all android phones have YouTube!
Also I cannot upload videos to YouTube taken from the camera which many tutorials on the net show someone doing this on an x10 mini!

The big question is of course which is best? I also found LauncherPro that has got a very good recommandation in other threads.
Any one tried all three of these?
Are there any consideration you have to take due to the small screen resolution of the mini?
HelixLauncher 1.2 is perfect and hat god balance with battery life
