i ported a rom , got it to boot but i have no signal , i tried *228 the call went through but cant choose any option ,, any help? can i just flash a radio ? so just the networking isnt working

No service as in no signal or no service as in phone/dialler cannot ring anyone similar to flight mode? When phone starts up do you get a greenish distortion which is fixed by simply pressing power on/off button?

i also had this prob after flasing to duttys, no service and the strange scrambled colours that can be fixed by pressing the on and off switch, havnt tryed re flashing again yet though
take a look at your phone settings. open your dialer, go to menu/options now select the band tab. make sure it is set to you providers band or set it to auto.
Me too after flashing Dutty's latest.
Hard reset doesn't help.
"Connection settings" app doesn't appear to run after flashing...
Not a signal issue.

If you are experiencing the scrambled colours it means you have not followed correct procedure to flash Duttys rom. Duttys rom is based on 1.56 or 1.57 depending on which version i.e. V3.4 etc so you'll need to put USPL or HSPL onto your device first and then flash a HTC 1.56 based rom
All this and proper procedure can be found in cRaCKwHoRe's guide to flashing 1.56+ based roms. Can be found in my signature
I sent my device on repair, also after constant flashing of ROMS (doesnt mean duttys fault) but the device constantly droped calls on 3G or GMS.. I called them today, they reflashed original ROM and tested the phone few days, no phone drops anymore..
They will test it few more days, hopefully my prob. will be fixed.

Guys im really new on this.....i have T-Mobile Wing...and i recently updated my ROM to 6.5 but i dont really like it so then i decide to downgrade it back to 6...but when i was downgrading my ROM back to 6 (downloaded from T-Mobile website) accidentally the cable went unplugged from my Wing...during the Downgrading process....after that now when i am trying to downgrade it again.. im having problem that>>>till the last step of downgrading everything goes correct but when the process start and when progress reach to 1% my Wing restart itself and my goes in OS(which work fine) and>>ya i tried different 6.5 ROMS i got successful in installing but not in T-Mobile Original ROM<<....can anyone tell me what happen to my phone and how i can solve my problem...... after restarting i got error in T-Mobile ROM >>(ERROR [260] : Connection)......plzzzzzzzzzzz need ur help im really worried plzzzzzzzzz guys help me out......pictures are given below...

Hmn. I would also like some help with this too, as I recently came into a wing that had been 'upgraded' to one of the ROMs from wingster before I received it. I was able to hard reset it thru the settings but when I go to install the 'official' T-Mobile ROM over the hard reset it does the same thing: (ERROR [260] : Connection) and I have tried to do this again after a PC reboot, no luck.

bro thankx alot for u r reply i just extract T-Mobile original ROM (.exe) file and just copy the ROM files and i install it through FLASH CENTER which works fine....my problem is sloved ...Now again im having new problem which is when i lock my phone through the power button....i m unable to recieve any call or any message.....but im able to recieve call n messages when my phone is unlock....i think when i lock my phone it disable all the connection such as (WIFI,Bluetooth and including My phone Connection and etc....)so can u help me out how can i disable this thing or can u help me out what exactly problem im having....thankx in advance..

I hope someone here can help me. The other night I was browsing the net at home (wi-fi connection) and after a while, if I'm not wrong, I've seen that the phone lost the phone/line connection, but I was not that worried: 1)I was in an area of my home where the cellphone line is not that good, 2) I was about to turn off the phone. The problem is that the next morning I turned it on and got "No service" and there was no way to get the operator line.
Tried the following things:
1) I didn't have the last version of MIUI so I updated it
2) Tried with an old release
3) Made a full wipe
4) Tried another kernel
5) Tried two different radios
6) Set a just rooted-Stock Rom
7) Tried an old august backup
8) Tried sim of different operators
All these things didn't produce any good result.
I also can tell you that the bars of the signal (close to the clock) are visible and the line is very good but if I try to select manually an operator I get "error" something like "now is impossible to connect to this operator, try later".
I really hope someone can help me and is not an hardware problem (but now I don't really now...)

first of all , get outta home , find somewhere outside because there has better single.
try flash a new radio.
go to MOBILE NETWORK SETTINGS ---> NERWORK OPERATORS
select "SELECT AUTOMATICALLY"
and ... sometimes MIUI does have single lost problem , if all of these don't work , try flash Stock ROM to determinate if its ROM problem , radio problem or , in the worse scenario , the hardware problem

Any radio version suggested?
Try the KB3 or the new kf1. Kd always gave me radio dumps couple of times a day with miui
Tried with KF1 no luck.

My phone number doesn't show as well. Did u manage to get your phone to work again? If not, have u tried putting a different sim from the same or a different operator?
I tried almost everything...nothing works. Tried different sims, different operators...nothing.
What model do you have? And did you by mistake flash a wrong radio. A one that wasn't supposed to be for your phone ( I'm outta ideas)

Hi, i just got HD2 and never used before. So im not quite familier with this but i dug enough information and flashed my device with NAND Nexusone ROM. My HSPL are2.08, magldr 1.3 and radio is 2.15. Everything is working great except that i cant turn on data connection. The wifi works good to and i can access internet with wifi only. I put the correct apn but i can not have data connection over celluler network. Should i change radio version ? or simply the android rom ? if i change radio version, do i hav to install the android rom again ?Please help me
phone works fine when it is on 2G.. but as soon as i switch to 3G the H is displayed for a few seconds and then i lose connectivity.. i have to switch it back to 2G to get back connectivity.. i have tried changing the base band with the defy base band switcher.. no use.. But 3G works on other phones with my sim..
Currently on WhiteRabbit 1.5.2 plus.. but i have had the same problem on all the roms i have tried..
Is there a solution?? or is my device faulty??
3g problem solution
try cm9 latest by quarx u will get ur solution ..
but before going for latest flash
flash this rom first i.e CM9-ICS-MR1-120305-jordan.zip
because u can set ur apn and sync ur accounts like facebook gmail etc.
as the latest roms doesnt support apn settings automatically neither manually.
so flash this first and then flash ur latest rom by quarx..
p.s. when flashing latest rom no need delete any thing simply install from .zip over the previous rom

hmm but i had this problem even when i went back to the rooted stock sbf..
it's not just that 3G doesn't work.. i lose all connectivity and cant call also..
and i tried all the 3G fixes.. last thing i'll do is try is check if it works in the stock sbf.. otherwise i'll go to the service center and get it checked..
