HTC MAIL - Droid Incredible General

I noticed that on the HTC Desire/N1 that the HTC Mail integration for lets say Exchange is different than on the incredible.
I really liked the Mail that has the emails in rows listing the subject, etc. Instead on the Incredible the emails comes in a single white backgrounded page and you have to flick up to read the next email. You don't have a choice to pick different options when you add the widget.
Am I am missing something here?

What you seem to be describing is the "Widget" interface. It only shows one page. When you select the "mail" icon, the one that shows how many emails arrived, it will come up with the list of emails, opened and unopened. From the widget you can get to it by clicking on the bottom left icon showing the small horizontal bars (in the widget, there are icons at the bottom.)

Looking for this type of screen that they show:
Exchange Widget? Not sure.. Just like this one better. It seems like the incredible doesn't allow for you to select the 3 tabs like it does on the UK Desire.
It only offers the 1st one.

What I want to do with the photo stack is actually keeping the white frame and cutting out the photo so users can add their own photo underneath to simulate their own photo. Is there a way to do to this and make the photo cycle at a predetermined interval?
The Home Page icons are all new and semi-transparent. The 1st icon will bring up a sub-menu with 6-8 most common used programs. The 2nd icon is the phone icon. The 3rd icon is the alt-tab icon. The 4th is the S2U2 icon.
I'm thinking that pressing on the clock will open the "next appointment" dock.
What do you guys think?
Terrific concept. Look forward to the finished product.
I updated the first page with the five different tabs side-by-side. Right now, I'm about 80% done with getting things installed unto WAD. By later today, I should have a version that I can upload here =D
For both the apps/settings page and contacts page, the bottom right and bottom left corner of the book will change the pages (docks).
I have a question: For the home page, is there a way on WAD to make the photos change every 5 min automatically?
Also, I haven't played around with the built-in agenda in WAD, but is it possible to use the graphics I have for the agenda (Today header strip, highlighted strip, day header strip)
Any feedbacks?
It looks a little cluttered to me, but it still looks nice.

Email notification for account widget

Hi,
I'm using two email account on the Samsung client,
I would like to have a notification on the widget, so I could only open one in which I have new messages..
To have a notification for new email I must use Social Hub..
I know Gmail (Google client) has the notification in the widget...
Is it possible that Samsung did not think to add the widget of the notification email?

here is a screeShot:
This is what Android is kicked for when compared to iOS. Not only are there thousands of devices behaving differently, but the same app in same device having small differences! (is it because of firmware upgrade)?
Lol what? I call it user error. If you add you account individually through the shortcuts, you wont get any notifications. If you add the actual app from the app drawer you will get notifications. Its been like that since the sgs2 and maybe original sgs. Im pretty sure the OP knows but theres also a widget for regular email app that you cant swipe through.
Even though our forum section is a little slow on development, you might want to check out the sgs2 section to see if anyone modded the email app. There basically the same phone.

How to Change "Your Name's Kindle" in the Notification Bar

I haven't seen this posted but if you want to change the text that displays your name's Kindle that appears in the top left of your screens here's how to do it.
Log into the Amazon website and go to Your Account in the top right. Scroll down to Digital Content and select Manage Your Kindle then click on Manage Your Devices. Now press edit and change the text to whatever you want, you can remove your name as well. Once you're done press "update" and close your browser. Now go to your Kindle and pull down the notification bar to access your quick controls and press Sync, the text in the top left will be changed.

Good stuff! I wondered how to do this..worked for me! Thanks!
Just did this per your instructions (and did a re-register, which did keep the installed apps in place). Thank you!!
For the last part (the deregister), you don't have to deregister. You can always jusy hit the sync button in the mini settings menu that comes down from the notification bar.

[REQUEST] Swipe txt/mail notifications left/right to mark as read or delete

Hi guys!
I'm probably not the first one who thought about that, but I cannot find much about it here on xda and I'm curious why it hasn't already be done:
Wouldn't it be possible for devs to include an option to swipe notifications left to mark as read and right to delete (with an "undo" option popping up) in a similar way to the Gmail app? I don't know if this would work system-wide (say, for third-party apps like Whatsapp), but it should at least be possible for SMS and maybe the pre-installed exchange email app.
I think an option like this right inside the notification slide would come very handy for generic SMS no one ever reads like for example provider messages and the like.
What do you think?

}
Although that would be useful, I don't think the swipe gesture returns any value to the application. Swipe just gets rid of the notification. The app wouldn't know if it was swiped left or right!
Besides if there are multiple notifications from same app won't all the messages get deleted then?
Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk 4 Beta
Hm I don't know much about developing, but if you were to mark it as read, won't the app need more permissions?
I mean in this case THE APP, say gmail, is going to your mailbox and marking the item as read and then returning that "read" value to the gmail servers, instead of your PHONE just avoiding the notification.
Then again I could be completely wrong here. I really don't know
You could also use a third party app : NotifierPro.
by desactivating the notifications from the sms app, and NP pops a banner that you can swipe left/right, to launch/read/dismiss. You can customize that.
But I guess that it would be nice too, to have it directly in the notification panel.

Business Calendar 5 rows

This is my take on a 5 row business calendar designed to fit my needs. I've been using it for years and it works flawlessly. Every entry comes on two rows: on the first row I've placed the event itself and on the second row, the meeting date, time range and meeting's location. It works especially well with exchange synced calendar events.
What makes this calendar widget really different from other approaches is the implementation of two visual cues which I find very useful:
1. Under advanced parameters for each field, I built conditions so TOMORROW'S pending events are shown in light-blue, TODAY'S events are shown in yellow and events outside today's or tomorrow's range are shown in grey. The whole idea behind the coloring is getting instant visual cues. In my opinion it works really well. A yellow entry makes me stop and check the details right away while a blue colored event keeps reminding me, throughout the day, to check it out and eventually familiarize with it. The grey ones can be ignored for now.
2. Furthermore, I've also altered the opacity of second rows in order to emphasize the events themselves (1st rows).
The only catch in the used algorithm, for leap years you'll have to go to advanced parameters and replace 365 for 366, otherwise the intended color scheme changes. I'd be curious if anybody can find a solution to that.
Obviously you can change the colors as you wish. Attached is the zw file, archived as zip.
