Revert APPS2SD - Nexus One General

i would like to delete my sd partition for apps2sd
how can i do that?
i would like to be able to use the full capacity of my sd card again

De-check the option in under application and use the recovery from Amon_Ra to reformat the the card to fat32 or pc. Save your data first.

How do I delete a ext2 partition from sd card

How do i delete the ext2 partition made from clockwork recovery ?
Plug you card into a card reader then access teh partitions via a partitioning software, maybe use the one thats built into windows. Just delete the partitions and format card.
You can probably do it with "SD Card Formatter", google it.

How to swap SD cards with apps on ext3 partition

I have the Optimus V and the 2GB micro SD that came with it. I want to swap to a new 8GB micro SD so that I can put more music on it. I've got a bunch of apps on the card (more than the internal memory can hold) in an ext3 partition using Link2SD. I'm running the 8/10 build of pure IHO/CM7.1 RC.
I think I can do it this way but I wanted to get some confirmation:
1.) Boot into recovery
2.) Make a backup (which I can confirm does back up the ext3 partition)
3.) Swap cards and partition the new SD card using recovery
4.) Copy all files from the old SD card's FAT32 partition to the new SD card's FAT32 partition using my SD reader on my PC
5.) Put the new card in the phone, boot to recovery, and restore
I think that'll put everything back where it belongs, but I would just like someone to confirm that for me. Thanks!
Should work. Would personally use gparted or similar to clone and resize the SD card partitions on PC.
Oh, yeah, gparted. I forgot i could get a livecd for that.
Question, though - if I use gparted to clone, I need to have both cards installed at the same time, right? I only have one SD/microSD reader (it has both slots but I can only use one slot or the other at a time, so I can't use one card in a micro-to-SD adapter). Can I use USB storage for one card and the reader for the other?
Never tried this. I have tons of SD card -> USB adapters around.

[Q] Sd card partition and swap

How do i delete my sd card partition and the swap partition?
Go to recovery then in recovery go to mounts and storage then go to format sd ext also another is to unmount the sd card and then format but all your sd card data will go so I highly suggest you back it up.
Sent from my GT-I5800 using XDA App
Easiest for me is partitioning on a computer with cardreader. Here you can see what you are doing. But you need Linux. This can be a live-CD for example Knoppix.

Thats one way, 2nd method is use minitool partition in your laptop or computer, 3rd method if you want to format entire SD card to its original state is, go to settings, SD Card settings > unmount SD Card > format SD Card.

SD-EXT to FAT 32

Hi there,
I formatted my sd card to 1GB SD-EXT. But now i wan't to revert back to to just FAT32 (no sd-ext). But i cant remove it trough CWM i only can make it smaller.
I do not have any way to mount my SD card then trough CWM.
How can i still remove the SD-ext? Is there a script for it or something like that?

Put the SD card into a digital camera and format it from there.
There is some partition software on here that'll do it too.
*NOTE: YOU WILL LOSE ALL DATA*

[Q] Running CM7 off NAND - anything to consider changing SD Card?

Hi all.
I was given an HD2 running CM7 off NAND. It has a 2gb SD card in there, with around 400mb as ext3/ext4 partition.
I want to swap the 2gb for an 8gb card. Having not installed the ROM myself (and am not too familar with the process on the HD2), I'm unsure how to proceed.
Are there any files on the SD card that are likely to be needed for booting?
Can I just stick the new card in, use recovery to partition it and then remove the card - copy the old ext3/ext4 partition data over and it'll be happy?
Do I need to use recovery, can I just a Linux box to do that instead?

assuming you don't have a linux pc that can read ext partitions, id do it this way..
into cwm - full backup.
2gb card into card reader (or mount usb storage in android - or 'mounts and storage - mount sd card' in cwm) - copy off your whole fat32 partition - make sure you have hidden files set to show in windows explorer.
8gb card into phone, back into cwm, create the new ext partition.
8gb card back into card reader (or mounts and storage - mount sd card in cwm) and copy the fat 32 stuff back to the card.
into cwm - restore - advanced restore - restore the sd-ext partition only.
Thanks for the reply.
I do have a Linux PC to hand, and the HD2 doesn't have CWM on it.
So in the end, I used GParted to create a partition table that looked like the existing card and then copied the contents of the old card over. Phone booted up fine
