Hi all,
now i am a owner of the HTC Magic Vodafon (32B) and will to try to tune its up a little.
I have already spend some time to read much in this forum. I have found many roms and now i am not sure what is the best for me. For example i read and found the ROM with Android 2.1 for my 32B but in this case i have no 3D for example but this is needed for Video, right?
What is a must for me?
- all functions must be work (Video, Wlan, Maket,...)
- i will have Sense
- the speed must be good
- Its must be stable, no crashes or something like this
Have someone a idee for me what is the best for me?

I have been trying to pimp out my HTC touch dual but im a full on dummy. Can someone please explain a step by step guide explaining how to and the
meanings of terminology nessecary for the following. I have a HTC Touch dual(Nike/Niki100) and a video tutorial would be so much easier and clearer if anyones dares to make one . I am a beginner and would appreciate clear help/tutorial/insight.
1) I want upgrade my orange branded HTC touch dual to windows mobile 6.5....atm HTC will not let me upgrade to 6.1 from there website as it is an orange branded phone. (I dont like the orange customizations on my phone)
2)I would like that amazing new interface on my phone i think its called the Manilla 2D 2.0 its the one from the New HTC Touch2/Mega phone thats really colourful.
3) I would like to unlock my phone so i can put in a vodafone sim atm im using a turbo sim which temperorily unlocks my phone. i found this site... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=355730 but again all the language is confusing and i don't want to brick my phone!
4) I would like advice on the best software out there....
i.e. skyfire and opera instead of internet explorer.
Youtube application.
TCPMP with all the nessecary packs so it lets me play videos without sound errors etc.
Asphalt 4 which is amazing etc.
5) i want my HTC touch dual at its optimum ability, tweaks like making the touchscreen more sensitive, and to speed it up. I want people to have the best touch duals they possibly can. Hope someone makes a clear video tutorial on how to do this.
**please clearly break down terminology if you are using it i.e. SPL, HARD SPL, COOKED ROM, KITCHEN, CID/SID, BOOT LOADER, FLASHING. i tried learning them but when i actually try upgrading it all becomes jibberish again lol. id rather stick to lehmans terms.**

I used to have windows mobile phones.
And i flashed roms every week.
but on my android, i have done nothing yet.
Because i am pretty happy with it the way it is.
the only thing at this moment i can think of what would be nice, if is it would be a little bit faster.
So i,m just wondering.
If i flash a different rom.
What will change for me.
I read that there are different roms that differ in the "Google experience"
So what will happen for me in the android market, will i have it, and will i see the same apps i am seeing now.
What are the other advantages of flashing?
I don't want to end up with a rom that does not give me what i gave now + more.
so basically... is it worth it?

htc magic from vodafone Netherlands.
This is what I know:
After get the root and flash, you will have everything has normally you have with the exception of the updates for android (for example, if you root, I think you will not have the option to update the android cupkake to donut) but most probably that you will be able to update it any way using the info in the forum...
From that, market and everything will work exactally the same as it's working for you right now...
The other difference will be the "the google experience"... There are actually 2 kind of Magics (Sapphires) devices... the "vodafone" one (google experience) and the HTC one (just HTC experience xD)...
The main difference is that the vodafone one has less ram than the htc (192 against 288 or something like that) and the vodafone uses only the android that google gives you, instead, the HTC one will have the HTC Sense (the same desktop that is using the HTC Hero right now) and you will be able to use the donut as well...
So I think the main advantage goes to the HTC Magic (HTC Magic is 32A, the Vodafone one is 32B board)...
I have rooted my phone (HTC Magic 32A) and I'm able to use any 32A rom I like and I have everything enabled (market, google maps, etc...)
It works like a charm =D...

1. I have a uk unlocked htc hd2 i seen information on you can add custom firmwares can someone please tell which custom fw is best for a uk hd2 is there a list that tells you what each fw does..
2. also you can mod the hd2 5mp cam to 8mp and the wifi to 802.11n is that right if so how do you do it.
3. which is the best satnav on sd card to use.
4. are there gotchas i need to know about with the htc hd2.
just sold my ip3gs was going to get the desire but hd2 will do till evo 4g is generally out can someone tell me exactly how many apps are there for wm that i can run on my hd2 im after a good fitness app, satnav, pdf reader, music player hope you can help out and thanks
1. Read the tutorials stickied at the top of the ROM section on how to do it. ROMs will have the features listed in thier respecitve threads
2. you cant upgrade the camera, which phone lets you? but you can enable N wireless. check the tips n tricks bit and there is a registry edit to do it.
3. i have herd good things about iGo 8 i think

i dont think there are any, other ppl have issues, but im very content with it flash a good rom, and you will love it! just please o please, use the search function and read everything fully till you understand!
instal bsb tweak. there u can tweak the camera to get better quality pics.
i use igo8. works like a charm.

hello my name is Lucian and i just got the Mytouch 3g and I'm dieing to run hero on it but i cant figure it out i saw all the video's i could find but none of them really show you how its done and the thing is.. I'm trying to run hero and the live wallpaper on my phone can any one please help
Do you have the one with the 3.5mm jack? What I recall since I have the one with the 3.5 you can get it rooted but no rom will work for it I think. Or it will work or something but you have to do the goldcard thing but you need a special memory card like a kingston sd.

yes you can run hero (sense UI), however there are no sense UI roms that are out yet that support live wallpapers.

I have try many rom and only found AVRCP working in sense rom,
Is something I missed ?
do you know a non sense rom with avrcp working ?
If not can you point me in a direction to find a solution because a don't like sense a just want a clean rom maybe like some other here but i like keep my phone in my pocket when i'm listening music
Hope someone have a good answer or good info or some chef/develloper can upgrade their rom to be fully working with bluetooth.
