i use htc hero custom rom from madaco3.2 and i can not use the voice app it always said can not connect to network

I am running the CIngular branded ROM downloaded from this site and every sice the installation Skype will not work. Skype comes up and asks if I want it to connect to the cellular network and when I click yes it immediately says Cannot connet, check network settings.
Network settings are fine, IE works, OPutlook works, no problems.
Any ideas?
If you want to use Voip I suggest you use Sjlabs WM5 beta.
Skype is IMHO too heavy for handleds.

I have been researching extensively different types of PDA-Cellsphone combos that WILL work with Skype-OUT/IN voice feature, the Skype.com site provides a list of ones that will not work (such as Jus-Jam and HTC TyTN).

iam looking for a Rom with good intergrated VOIP Features like the TC500 (f. ex. global setting that Voip should used insted GSM if availible, common Call List etc)
best with IAX Client instead of SIP (IAX = no probs on with closed ports etc)

I have bepe rom 0.63 full for my Polaris, and in the CommManager parameters, I have an option to parameter and ativate IP Phone.
Bepe said me that he took this option in case if someone want to installl a IP Phone module.
Where can I download an IP Phone app for Polaris?

Install, reboot, run VOIP Settings to setup your VOIP provider, reboot again and off you go. Works like a charm for me with VOIP Buster Pro A tip: Use VOIP with a handsfree (bluetooth or wired). Without handsfree the other side will get a nasty echo.

I've tried using that today but it just stays on the "Loading Fring" screen for hours!

I have my my voip account working on fring everything is great including the call quality 3g/wifi. I like some of the features of the other voip/sip clients and have downloaded everyone from the market (yes everyone) the problem is call quality is really bad enem over wifi and 3g forget about it. Anyone have same issue or setting that work great on anyother app.

sorry, i can't answer your question, but have you been able to get the 3cx app to work? It is supposedly a good one but has been in/out of the market. what voip provider do you use? btw

this is gonna come acrossed as weird! but it is what it is
i want to setup my hd2 with no cell provider at all just voip!
i have a 4g hotspot that is mobile and want to use just voip on the hd2
when i try to setup just viop under the rom settings i keep getting carrier/sim error! can anyone point me in the direction of a rom that will do this with out cell stuff in it??

You're going to have to use grooveip or sipDroid its the only way . Its what I use myself . Get a Google voice if you don't already have one . Google voice is free and paired with grooveip I can make free calls to anyone in the USA . Groove was only like 2 bucks too
