Hi,
I have bought a HTC Leo, and found a problem that I don't know if it's normal, but I think not... When I'm in a call and the person other side is quiet and i'm quiet, and the ambient it is quiet, I begin to hear an intermittent noise (roar). Anyone have this problem? How can I solve this?
Thanks.
Anyone?
yep, have this on tmob radios. when i use other radio roms i get the annoying crackling speaker issue... because of that i stick to the tmob radio roms and try to live with the background noise!
Yes, but my rom it's original, i didn't change that, it's very bad doing this noise...
Thanks for the reply.

Recently my friends have been complaining of lots of buzzing from my phone when I make or receive calls. I called my house phone and noticed that sometimes I could hear the GSM radio noise that I often hear around speakers. I can't hear the buzzing on my end of the phone, only the person on the other end can. Also a lot of the time it comes and goes much like the GSM radio noise does when you leave a phone by speakers.
I think it's been going since at least the official WM6 update from AT&T(not sure what radio version was packaged with that), but it could have been longer. I updated the VP3Gs 3.62 rom and the 1.48.00 radio today and still got the buzzing. Also tried the 1.54.07 radio as well but got the same results.
Has anyone else had this issue?
Also, has anyone noticed that if you put hte 8525 just about an 1" from your ear a high pitched whine is being emitted? Can't hear while the phone is pressed to your ear, but still annoying none the less. Thought it might be related to my other problems perhaps.
Hello.
I need some advice, because a few days ago I'm hearing a very annoying background noise when making or receiving calls . Something like "bzzz". I don't know if it is an hardware or software problem, because I have even changed the Rom and the noise remains.
Does anyone experienced the same?
I have a Trinity with radio 1.50 and WM 6.1.
Thanks.

OK Strange one here - hope someone can help!
I flashed older cookie on to HD2 for a friend and took phone to her in Malaysia - all seemed well but phone was freezing apparently so her brother went to HTC asia site and downloaded a ROM for it! GRRRR
Anyway it was a T-Mobile rom or something with a '51' radio. Since then when she makes a call she can not hear the other person through the earpiece (but can through the headset!) , but CAN hear a busy tone if the person is already on a call when she calls!
So I flashed latest Cookie Dinik style back on and replaced the Radio with 2.07.50.** and still the same!
I don't understand how the earpiece can make the busy sound but not hear the voice, yet headphone works?! I have connected remotely and used MyMobiler to see screen of HD2 and looked for anything that may be causing it but all seems fine.
If anyone has any ideas please help as she is about to go back to an iPhone after just moving to this HD2 on my say so!

hmm thats an odd issue and I would be suprised if anyone else has encountered it :S
are you positive its the ear piece speaker thats making the busy sound and not the loudspeaker on the back of the device?
also have you tried swapping between loudspeaker and normal handset mode? does the call work in loudspeaker mode but not normal speaker mode?

Good idea with the loudspeaker mode - will ask her to check that. Can't see how a rom flash could cause it - hope it's not faulty hardware!
I had a similar problem with my HD2: I wasn't able to hear my counterpart. I have tried several radio/ROM combinations with no luck. Looking at the test results I guessed it was a sporadic hardware issue of the earpiece. Sent the phone off to service, they confirmed the problem, replaced the earpiece and shipped it back, all free. Great service!
Of course, I had to restore to factory settings beforehand, including the original SPL, radio and ROM. If the phone is still under warranty I would suggest you try a hardware repair.
hi,
my girlfriend owns a blackstone that recently started to do some noises, some crackling during calls.
it happens over speaker, loud speaker and even on headphones... but only on calls, because on music player sounds perfectly.
full network coverage, so that is not the problem.
any idea what could be the problem?
thanks
Does the other phone (which u called) receive your voice well and clear?
yes, they ear me well and clear, on every call.
mine does this problem on every call, it´s not problem of the other phone,I can notice the noise even on the waiting tone before other people answer the call
I am not sure, i have never had such a problem but i know that our HD switches gsm to 3g - or 3g to gsm- network continuously. So can it be what causes such a problem? I don't think it is a hardware problem. So you can try restoring to defaults & hard resetting or changing rom. I don't have any other opinion for now, sorry
have you tried another radio rom followed by a hard reset?
after all, the radio handles these things and newer radio often have better call quality.
Situation: when I'm talking with someone and then my collocutor hangs up, the HD2 starts to beep very noisy in the rear speaker.
How can I fix this annoying problem?
I had this problem on Pdaimatejam Rom v8.7 and after updating to v8.8 I have it too
PS: sometimes some sounds start to sizzle like an old tape recorders. Is it ok?
I have exactly the same 'problem' on a different ROM. Nothing to worry about I guess... Maybe someone else can explain it?
Modify the following key in your registry:
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Sounds\CallDrop]
"Sound"=""
Another one : sound when line is busy.
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Sounds\BusyTone]
"Sound"="" instead of "\Windows\Busy.wav
Yeap, it works. Much better now.
Thanks, the problem is solved.
