Rq: Help for radio 2.10.50.19_2 - HD2 Windows Mobile 6.5 ROM Development

I try to put Radio_2.10.50.19_2 with SSPL in the same folder on the existing kwbr 1.6.1. Flash is ok but after restart the radio is still the old one. RAM is 448. I dont want to use HSPL.
Please help

sspl wont flash radios.

Yeah that's correct. So there is no other option to flash an radio without HSPL. So you have to use it.

Thanks guys, i just downloaded HSPL2.
But how to install the new radio?

You can find the answer in the HSPL2 thread.
Basically you have to put the .nbh file of the radio into a folder together with CustomRUU.exe and run the latter as administrator (Vista/Win7).

If you flash a 576 RAM enabled Stock Rom then it will give you the 576MB RAM. The 2.10 TMOUS Stock Rom will do that fine.

Battery
so how is the battery life on 2.10.50.19_2 compared to 2.10.50.8_2

Everyone, regarding this radio, please post in the "official" thead http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=669042.

Great, maybe you can give a link to your radio folder too. Great repository you have there.
Now all we have to do is to find the 2_09_50 counterpart so we have our memory back.

Yes, I run a 2.10 base and I flashed it without any problems. Don't know though if this radio prevents the device from booting up after a flash or hardreset. Maybe someone else can shine a light on this. (Curious myself )

Thx for the radio.
My guess is it may not be compatible with 2.10 roms (wont boot after reset) because it comes from the 51 tree. Be great if it does work though

No this one is 2.09.51.03_2
This radio is the more recent radio. Should work fine with 1.66 Roms.
Are you sure?
From the whole rom file description the _2 is also there.
I was guessing that he just left the _2 out.

HSPL Versions

Hi there,
I was hoping you could answer a question for me. I have me searching for days and can't find what the different is between the Hspl versions. Is the latest the best?
My HTC HD2 was on 1.42 and I ran HSPL and change it to 1.42 HSPL.
It is working fine, but I was wondering if i made the right choice, and what the difference is?
Also, can I run it again and change the hspl version ?
Thanks in Advance
The developer of HSPL recommends matching your hspl version to the rom you are using, so 1.42 matched to a 1.42 - 1.48 based rom, 1.66hspl to a 1.66 or 1.72 based rom and 2.08hspl to the later roms. You supposedly get a more stable rom. I however can't say I have seen any significant difference between 1.42 hspl and 2.08hspl.
Just run HSPL2 again and you can change between the various hspl versions or even revert to stock spl versions at will.

Thanks for quick response. I think I will leave it on 1.42 as that was the same as my stock spl.
The next step is to choose a ROM. Any suggestions? Im looking for a stable, fast rom, with app updates, but that still has the weather animation. Also, I would like to be able to run fspce without any issue.
What do you reccoment?
Thanks again.

ROMs are personal decisions and what I like may not be to your liking. I suggest the best approach is to review the threads, look at screenshots, read the last 5 pages or so of the threads to see if there are major problems with the rom and then try a few.
The one I'm using is linked in my signature

I have radio version 2.05.51.05_2 and I would like to use this rom, which radio version should I use ?
I found Leo_RADIO_15.33.50.07U_2.07.50.27 **(from TMOUS 2.07) which looks ok, but will this be ok for a 512mb HTC hd2? Or is it for the T mobile version only?
Thanks
at this state you can flash all radios available on a 512 mb device. the new radios detect if its 512 or 1024 device.

Radio OR ROM ?

I have radio version 2.05.51.05_2 and I would like to use this rom -
ROM: ★ Energy Series 23557|Apr 12| , which radio version should I use ?
I found Leo_RADIO_15.33.50.07U_2.07.50.27 **(from TMOUS 2.07) which looks ok, but will this be ok for a 512mb HTC hd2? Or is it for the T mobile version only?
Also, do I update the radio first? with my current stock ROM? Or do I update the ROM first and then update Radio?
Thanks in Advance
Will this be your first flash?
If so, check this before do anything else: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=609477
If not, and if you already have HSPL installed on your device, you should first flash the RADIO ROM and then the ROM. (check previous link for that too)
I personally like the one's on my sig, but you must try several rom's and radios' and see wich one you like more.
Hope i could help.
i think next time you may not make a new thread. you can ask what you are confused on Energy ROM thread...

Thanks for that. This is my first flash, but I have already run hspl2 and my phone is set to 1.42 hspl.
I just want to make sure I have all the correct info before I flash.
So you can confirm that this radio will work with my device?
Hi
I use Energy rom now
I use radio 2.08.50.08_2
And everything is OK
But somebody said that radio 2.07 will give a better battery life, you could try this I use radio 2.08 because I like the newer radio
You should upgrade radio first, then Rom
My device is "normal" HD2
Im sure you have either a: allready flashed your phone successfully
or b: bricked it and are now crying under your bed sheets as you've managed to make the worlds most expesive door stop.
either way, do energy roms will not work with a .51 radio. it has to be a .50.
I use 2.08.50.08 and works a charm, its reported that 2.07 radio's are better for battery life.

Yes you should download from the Singapore page as the ROM at the HK site is for CHT whereas Singapore is either CHS or WWE.
I've have been running the HK 1.72.831.1 ROM for ages, then i decided to flash to this ROM, been using it for the last week, and for my HD2, this ROM is a pile of sh*t
issue's i've dicsovered so far
1. issues with launching video from album view, issues range from no video playback, to radio buttons disappear at bottom of screen....never had these issue wth 1.72.831.1 when playing the same videos
2. consumes lots of RAM ( 80-90 % ), compared to 1.72 ( 40-70ish% ), so much so that applications will fail, intermittant usage of opera for example.
It's a pitty, cause overall this ROM is much more responsive, and the radio seems more responsive too ( eg enable/disable wifi etc... )
Looks like i'll be rolling back to 1.72.831.1

Sir like mention almost everywhere; Stock ROM 3.14 isn't compatible with HSPL!
You need to remove HSPL before installing stock ROM 3.14! If you don't do it the above mentioned problems are normal!

Hi,
I just wanna share my experience.I just flashed the Stock ROM after many times consideration. I felt that no increase in term of speed [I used to flash Energy as a benchmark of ROM speed ] I mean it was slower than any cooked ROM. So I decided to go back to Cooked ROM. Now, I am using Carnage HD v.4.2 which is faster than the stock ROM.
In flashing the stock ROM, I had to remove HSPL2 by way of running HSPL2 from my PC (Win XP Pro SP3) and choose SPL 1.66. I succeeded, then I flashed the stock ROM also from my PC.
In flashing back to Cooked ROM, I use SSPL. First attempt, my PC got crashed (BSOD), I wasnt sure the reason of which. The second attempt, I succeeded.
Now I have SPL 3.03 in my HD2. I read that few users reported that they can downgrade the SPL. I am not sure whether it is safe. I need time to think about it.
Cheers....

After I flashed this ROM to my phone, upgrading it to any Artemis ROM via SSPL would load HSPL 1.42 instead of 3.03. Also, I've had problems with Artemis ROMS after flashing to this stock ROM, such as stuck on HTC boot screen or soft reset becoming hard resets. Could it be a problem with the HSPL? How do I make sure that it loads HSPL 3.03 when flashing Artemis instead of 1.42?
