HTC Sense: SMS vs. Phonenumbers - HD2 General

I have a big problem with my hd2, because it is handling the sms and phone numbers wrong:
If I place my Countrycode in front of my numbers the contacts getting found in the sms (Someone writes a sms of the number with countrycode and I get the name above his sms). If I get called by the person, it only shows his number.
But If I place a "0" in front of his number, without the countrycode, in the sms tab only his number is visible, without his name, BUT I recieve his name when he calls me?!
Anyone knows how to fix?

Do you have duplicate contacts? One on phone and one on SIM card?

I only have contacts on my phone...

Contacts - Hide the phone numbers

Hi,
On my MDA, when I go to the contacts, I don't see the phone numbers but only the name of them and it's well (I have choosen to display them like this in the options)...
But when I want to send a SMS and I go to the contacts by this way, the name AND the phone number is displayed ?!?!
How can I only display the names in the sms application too ?
Thanks in advance...
Largo
You can't, as this view does not have any option to choose which number should be used. So it displays the contact one time for each attached number.

add a contact problem-please help me

I have an O2 atom exec. When a missed call occurs, if that number belongs to an old contact, I do not know how I add that number to the old contact. if I want to add that number to the old contact, it seems there is no way to add, it only let me open an NEW contact but I do not want to save that number as a new contact, because it belongs to an old contact. Is there a way to add a missed call number ( that is shown in the call history ) to an old contact? Please help me...

hi,
I don't think there is any way to update a contact with the number in the phone history - this is a basic function on all other phones (nokia etc). Here's what i do...
Tap on the contact in the phone history and click on the "send text message" pop up. The contact number is now displayed on the sms screen in the TO column. From here, you can cut and paste anywhere!

No contact display in SMS

Is anyone facing same problem like me:
My Imagio can not display sender contact in SMS because I saved my contact with local number (09xxxx) but whenever I receive SMS, it automatically adds area code to the number (+849xxx) and can not display the sender name
I have already disable Assisted Dialing function.
Anyone know how to settle this ? Tks

Contacts Names

Did a search for this and I didn't see anything so If I missed it, sorry just point me to it. I'm having an issue with the names of my contacts not showing up in the call log or on text messages. If I go to the actual contacts section all the names are there but if anyone calls me or texts me it just says (unknown) and then there phone number but If text someone it shows there name but then when they text back it shows as a new message (not in the same group as the message I sent) and does the same thing with (unknown) and there phone number (even though when I sent the original text there name showed. (Hope that all made sense)
I have checked and all of my contacts are in the actual contacts section so I know everything is syncing ok I just can't figure out why there names wont show up in calls, call logs or texts. Any Ideas?

HD2 NAND Android 2.2 SMS PROBLEM

Hi,
i have "little" problem with my LEO,
ROM source: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=893620
When I send SMS by typing the recipient's phone number manually everything is ok, sms sent. But when I reply to a text message from someone, or pick a person from the phonebook - after half second i got the message "message not send". in conclusion, if the number entered is "automatically" by the phone sms do not send themselves.
I think it's the wrong add country prefix or "digit 0" before the number, But you can not see it.
HELP!
