How to edit .UIN/*.ORG files - Windows Mobile

To all,
How to edit *.uin and *.org files?
Like Reg0409.org and Reg0401.uin
Thanks in Advance!
Edit:
The files are:
1. Reg0401.uin.
2. Reg0409.org.
Note: I have tried Text Editor - NO USE (luck)
I have tried Hex Editor, could not understand the syntax.
So, any help figure it out will be appreciated
Thank you, Community!

I have never seen that extensions before.
Can't you open them with a text editor or a hexeditor?

Reg edits

Ive been looking for a while on this forum and wish to edit my registry to fix my camera etc..
The reg settings are no prob.. but could somebody please explain to me exactly what i need and how i go about editing the reg.
There was a a .cab file posted that told me to "put this on your phone then run it"(to fix the camera)
how do i run those files?.. i cant seem to find a file manager of any sort on my phone and active sync, although it lets me see the files, will not let me run them.
Any help anyone could give would be great.
I know this will be pretty simple for most people here, but ive only had this phone for 2 days and cant find any simple step by step instructions for doing things like this anywhere.
Check out gsfinder+ as a great free file explorer.
Check out PHM Tools for a free registry editor (there's another as well, called TRE I think).
I use Klimst (?) registry editor. Many people will recommend Resco or Total Commander to do both of these functions.

Thanks for your help.. it seems i totally forgot about the fiel manager there already (duh), and have now found the prog to edit reg settings.
thanks

you need to unsign it, edit it and then sign the dll again, otherwise it will not work
do you mean i need to seperately sign the dll?

XT9 - How to edit saved words?

I accidentally saved some words in XT9 which I now want to remove. Can anyone offer any advise how how this can be done, or where the stored words are kept in the directory such that I can easily open to edit?
Thanks a lot in advance.

Changing icons

I know alot of chefs have there own icon sets for thing like the program menus and setting and things. I also no that the settings for these are linked by an "icon.lnk" file to a dll file in the windows directory. I need help trying to edit these icon's, Whether it is through the dll file or there is another round about way.
A play by play would be great, thanks in advanced.
(i have already tried editing through a dll editor and connot seem to find a program that doesn't have an error trying to edit it (everything from wordpad to Resourse explorer to pe editor.)
you can use icon changer http://www.shelllabs.com/
pull the exe file off your device. then load it into icon changer. change the icon then put it back on your device overwriting the old one. this will change the physical icon of that program.
i have used it several times and it works great.

Hello,
See my signature. Just edit the icon.dll with XN Resource Editor. Open icon.lnk with notepad and just give the icon number.
Thanks

You can edit a DLL with reasourse hacker. You just need the UNSIGNER, and MSSIGNER. first you unsign, then you edit and save, then you sign.
simpler than you think. the hard part is looking for graphics
SK Shortcut Manager
SK Shortcut Manager does the trick for me
http://www.s-k-tools.com/index.html?sksmgr/m_sksmgr.html
BUT, it's paid...
Also i've found DLL file with many (400) old school icons (attached with this post).
A little preview: http://www.wenzlaff.de/download/twicon/twicon3.jpg
U can use also your windows DLL files (shell32.dll).
That's the way i manage all my icons
Hope this helped you

Edit: and i have already created my icons by hand..... i've got graphics down easy i just have never worked with a dll before..... usually just skinning apps
