Hello everyone, I'm running a really noobie question here. I couldn't locate the sys.txt file for iGo8, could someone enlighten me please. Thanks!
Bump, help please. Much appreciated!
in your install directory for iGo8 - likely the storage card...
iGO8/iGO8/sys.txt
should be right there.
cheers.
If it is not there (ie /iGo8/sys.txt or /StorageCard/iGo8/sys.txt or where ever you installed the iGo) you can create one for yourself. Search the forum, there are plenty examples of sys.txt

See this thread:
If you are having problems getting it to run and your reg is correct DELETE the tweaks.xml file in the programs folder. you find this in file explorer or what ever program you prefer, Look where you installed it to. Internal or storage card, for example storagecard/programs/diamondtf3d/ HERE is where you will find the tweaks file to delete. then retry running tf3d

Hi,
I recently bought the iGO 8 GPS Software (bundled on 2Gb micro sd-card) from Expansys. According to Nav N Go, the Cruise 2 isn't a supported device when it comes to iGO 8. However, since people have it running on a lot of other HTC-devices I decided to give it a go. Unfortunately it stopped at "INIT API".
Has anyone managed to get iGO 8 running on their Cruise 2? What "sys.txt" should I use?
Any help appreciated!
//Marcus
Got it
My man, I got iGo8 running smooth on mine after a lot of searching for right files, such as "sys.txt" and the voice files.
PM me with your e-mail and I'll send you the "sys.txt", links to voices files and whatever you need.
Best regards.

[interface]

show_exit=1

please tell me what to do.... I have had my original sd with igo8 for a long time i haven't been able to work it.. it stops at this stupid ATA INI or something... I also tried that sys.txt file but same happens
I have and love my OCN (IGO8 in Europe) and have been using it since my HTC 6700, however I am having problems to run it on my Sprint TP2, it apparently installs but doesn't run, flashes the loading screen and disapear!
Does anyone know this GPS software (which BTW I think is light years ahead of any other!) and can help me?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
There are several IGO threads around, you may get a quicker response asking in one of those, the answer may even be there already

Have you enabled A-GPS? If so try to disable it. Also does it have a igo config file? would like to see the output of it Think its called sys.txt
Have you been using iGO8 with a different device already?
What you describe here is typical for a wrong video subsystem configuration and can happen when moving from one hardware platform to another with different screen resolutions.
To fix this you should add to your sys.txt the following line(s):
[interface]
skin="ui_igo8"
Please note that during installation iGO8 makes a working copy of "sys.txt" in a "Program Files\iGO8" directory in a main device's memory so you have to copy it there, otherwise you will have no effect !
If this will not help (or you already have it there) then please remove content of "save" folder from your SD card. Please remember to backup you own POI's first ("user.upoi" file within save folder).
Hi Guys,
I decided to post a Support ticket and I was told to use this into the SYS.txt file:
1) please uninstall OCN 8 (if you have already installed it)
2) open sys.txt using Notepad. This file is located under "SD Card\OCN8\" folder. You may use Notepad from your PC (thru a card reader) or editing the file directly from your phone's notepad application.
[project]
name="igo8_pda"
[folders]
app="\Storage Card\OCN8"
sdcardpath="\Storage Card"
[interface]
maxzoom2d=6000000
show_exit=1
[device]
sdcard_dsk_num=7
3) Then save the sys.txt and re-install OCN8.

Thanks anyway to all that helped.
I know it may sound stupid, but I can't figure out how to do it, and I already searched the forums with no luck.
My question is simple: how to set Footprints to launch and use TomTom 7 instead of the demo of Copilot on my HTC HD2.
Thanks.
I have the same question but in my case it s about igo. I would like to use footprints with my igo.. I am searching for an answer, too. If I find something I will write here. All the best.
I followed the instructions below on another thread, and they work fine in that footpriints now launches TomTom, but it does not plan a route to the footprint. Does anyone have a way of making TomTom navigate to the footprint? From what I have read, a .dll file is required for this. I'd love to get this working.
To make TomTom replace copilot:
-You have to install tomtom to your SD card
-Locate the install dir of tomtom after you have installed it
-Locate the navigator.exe and copy it to another folder
-Rename the navigator.exe in the tomtom folder to copilot.exe
-Rename the navigator.exe you made copy off to splashscreen.exe
-Copy the splashscreen.exe back to same folder as the new copilot.exe is
-Rename the tomtom folder (or what ever the name is) to copilot.
-Copy the new copilot folder, and then locate the original copilot folder on device storage (Program Files/CoPilot) and paste the new folder over the original (DO NOT DELETE THE ORIGINAL FOLDER FIRST)
-Soft reset, and it should work just fine
bumping as a solution would be nice!
Don't like using CoPilot so i would rather be using TomTom.
Changing a link in the registry should be an easier solution...
if i understood wright ,you have at the end to copy the entire eg igo (544mb)folder from storage card to device memory? how will this device work then whithout memory ??
i may be wrong ?
search forim pls, there is some solution linked with navipanel! dunno about the footprint how to adress the coordinates but can be made to start igo8 or tomtom. just search

Routing any GPS to be opened by Navipanel is one thing THEY are asking for something a step further on how to execute a command so it starts routing to a footprint. So far I haven't seen anyone do this.
I installed igo my way and when I lunch it, it tells: "program application database cannot be found".
If I understand correctly I need to modify the sys.txt file, but I don't know what to change in it.
can anybody help me?

Thread closed pending verification of possible warez discussion.
Edit: OK, I've taken advice on this and would suggest that the OP email or make contact with Technical Support from iGo website.
I'll leave this closed, and if there is any problem with it, please PM me.
