The WM6.5 lockscreen sometimes will not unlock on the HTC Diamond.
I have tried using different WM6.5 builds. I have also tried using the various WM6.5 ROMs cooked by other chefs they all seem to have the same problem.

Disable it then. Just change the enabled value from 1 to 0 for HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Shell\Lockscreen.
Try tapping the clock before you unlock. Works for my ROM and a lot of others.
is there in your troubles just for 6.5 or 6.5.X is a custom lockscreen or default SYS lockscreen trouble
Remember that the cprs are specially designed to work in 6.5 and another special for 6.5.X
Farmer Ted: The old lockscreen definitely works. I find it ugly though ... I never used it even from way back when I was using 6.1. The new lockscreen is gorgeous and I would like to use that one.

It appears that the bug is specific to the Diamond?
It makes no sense to have to tap the clock before the unlock button is activated, but at least there's a solution!

The lockscreen CPRs for 6.5 are exactly the same as the ones in 6.5.X....

I've edited a 6.5 cpr then i tried in a 6.5.X rom so, it wont works lemme attach them maybe i did something wrong

I have flashed WM 6.5 to my TP2 and i was bored with the old Manila Icons so i created this and decided to share with you all.
I`ve made two cabs so you can chose which once you want to use.
- polystirenman Manila WM 6.5 Icons.cab - Will install only manila icons.those you can see on today screen
- Manila WM6.5 Manila Icons People.cab - Will install additional icons to All People Tabs
i`ve also made a cab which will get rid of ugly top courtain in manila and one which will change Notifications Highlights In calendar tab from grey to better visible green.
Install:
Disable TF3D from settings-personal-today
Soft Reset (to make sure manila is not runing)
Install cabs
Reenable TF3D
that should do the trick

as long as you have manila 2.1 they will work

What needs to be done to have a weather image on the htc hd just below the clock on the home screen?
I don't wanne lose the original rom. Is there a way to just add that?

nope. you have to install a WinMo 6.5 ROM with HTC Sense 2.1 or 2.5.
Hi, on Wm6.5 roms for the touch HD you can press and hold on the start menu items an move them arround but in the HD2 you can only send them to top. Thats is a really ugly to reorder lots of icons.
I think there must be a key in the registry to set this behaviour but cant find it.
Someone knows it?

I use JWMD Icon Changer V1.9 beta for Windows Mobile 6.5 to change the order of the start menu items... Works well.

This is not in the registry. Its in a SYS file named gwes ithink. Only way to fix it is by flashing to cooked ROM or update from HTC.

Does JWMD work for anyone else on their HD2?
On my old phone both JWMD Icon Changer and Showaco reSTART worked great in arranging the icons. On the HD2 however, neither seems to work.
JWMD arranges most of the icons on my HD2, but it doesn't rearrange them all (like the settings icon, it appears randomly in the list) and the ones that it does rearrange don't stay where they are supposed to and move after a little while.
What has HTC done to the Start menu to make it different? Because rearranging icons worked great on my old phone with these same exact programs.

I think that behaviour can be cause htc icons are created every time the phone reboots. There is a cab somewhere here (i think is in the tips thread) that disable the recreation of icons so after that you will have no problem. I hope that works

Thanks for the input, but I already solved the issue (by doing a hard reset, heh).
JWMD works great now though, and with some spiffy icons makes my HD2 almost perfect - the disorganized icons were really bugging me.
I am really having a hard time with getting a glass slider and transparent weather clock for tmobile wm 6.5. I am a noob to htc and wm.
I currently just installed wm 6.5 rom from tmobile (us). I was able to get bg4all and no curtains to work, but my slider is a lil offset to the icon.
All i really want to customize is a glass slider and transparent weather clock. I have searched so many sites and forums and a lot of the cabs do not work for me.
Please if you have suggestions or fixes let me know.
I have also noticed that many customizations no longer work on the recently released T-Mobile 6.5 upgrade. It is frustrating and time-consuming to determine what works and what will force you to hard-reset your device. There is a thread dedicated to TP2 apps, however, they are not presented in a way that sorts them with regards to carrier/ROM/compatability. It is unfortunate that T-Mobile's customizations create these issues, but I don't know of an easy solution. Perhaps after more people have upgraded to T-Mobile's 6.5 some modified customizations will begin to appear, or workoarounds will be discovered.

I really searched the hell out of me and didn't find anything that helped me.
I upgraded my Topaz ROM from WinMobile 6.1 (original build) to a 6.5 Version with Manila 2.5 (Shadowline Series Build 28014x3) today. So far everything was good.
Until I tried the full-screen weather plugin. Since then my htc has (displaying) problems. The Today-Screen does not display anymore (it always shows the last screen, e.g. at logon the PIN-input screen remains) (=issue 1). I can still open the start menu which works and use all programs, except the settings tab, which gets highlighted as if started and then hangs as well (=issue 2). And so unfortunately I cannot remove the option for full-screen weather anymore.
Is there a chance to make the full-screen weather plugin undone in the registry (I couldn't find a tweak for this) as I think that this feature is the reason for the problems.
I knew that Manila 2.5 would be a bit too much for the Topaz for it only has 528 MHz. Now this is what I have from my desire for this build :-/
I already downloaded a ROM from Dutty and one with Sense 2.1. Nevertheless I wanna try the Shadowline without the weather plugin as well (as I like this ROM most). What would you experts suggest? Downgrade to Sense 2.1, use Dutty's ROM (which is said to be faster) or what else?

Without htc sense the ROM works fine. I unchecked the option in the registry (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Today\Items\HTC Sense -> Enabled=0), restartet my Topaz. Then I chose windows standard for the home screen -> works.
Nevertheless I want to use HTC Sense but cannot find the reg-key for deactivating the full-screen weather option. The Sense seemed to have worked fine until I chose this option and set my home town as weather-location.

just make or pick a plain wallpaper and select it as animated wallpaper and the homescreen animation will go away.
Re-installation works
I re-installed the ROM completely and now it works, even if the full-screen weather animation is on. Okay, the animation runs slowly but nothing freezes as it was before.
