Can anyone help me with a very annoying problem that occurs on my HD2?
I very often have reminders for appointments
- that never had any reminder settings
- that are back in the past for a long time
- that are in the future
As soon as I try to open/edit these appointments from the reminder window, I always find, that the appointments really had no settings for alarms or that they have quite different settings compared to the time, the reminders are triggered.
I also found, that, in most of the times, these false reminders go off, accompanied by another correct reminder (but not everytime!).
Anyone else having these problems? What can I do?
Thanks a lot for helping!

I have the following problem and am cutious if anybody has the same problem and eventually found solutions?
Sometimes I get multiple reminders for the same alarm. This does not happen for alarms from calender. I get this only from alarms which have been set by the Clocks and Alarms menu. When the time comes it gives me multiple reminders. Sometimes up to five and I nedd to press 5 times Dismiss.
Does nobody have a solution. Is it something to do with the notification queue????. How can I access this qued notification?
i like it this way! this way i will WAKE UP instead of falling back to sleep
you can choose the number of reminders / time between reminders from the settings,
I don't use it though I use pocket music player and Megasoft Pocket Clock
I'm currently getting the same alram non stop with no dismiss option any way tot stop that this is the second time it has happened and the last time I had to hard reset. Fo rnow I have turned off all sounds but still get it vibrating
Any Ideas?
google for Check Notification
to detect any of the 'alerts' that are bugging you and delete them

Click to collapse
Get MemMaid, or Pocket Mechanic, both tools great for sorting out a few problems, one of which is duplicate alarms...
i have a problem with alarms being 1 hour late because the device apears to change its mind about which time zone it's in!
I have what i am sure is not a new issue, but can't find anything explaining how to resolve this issue.
the issue, is that I have many 'all day' events with alarms set. the problem is that the alarm for all day events goes off at midnight.
Is there a way to have WM6 to not notify in the middle of the night, short of shutting off the volume (which isn't an option as i do often get call-outs at night.
any suggestions, tweaks, or programs that could solve this issue?
thanks

Strangest thing happened today.... all reminders failed to sound on my HD2. The items I set on the calendar and has reminders turned on - the HD2 failed to sound the reminder - there's not even a message bubble on the top bar to indicate I missed a reminder. It's as if I never set a reminder. This caused me to miss meetings today.
I have not installed anything or edited the registry yesterday and it was working fine till then.
Items I checked -
1. System clock - it's correct
2. the calendar item - it's today.
3. settings\sounds & notifications\sounds\"Enable sounds for"
Events checked
Programs checked
Notifications checked
4. settings\sounds & notifications\notifications\reminders\
Play sound checked
display message on screen checked
What could be the problem?
missed calendar reminders
Ive had the same problem
It was working fine just until yesterday and all of a sudden the reminders just stopped.
Any solutions out there would be very much Appreciated .
reminder alert
My reminders seem to be working again
The only thing I did in between it not working and when it started working was to sync the phone with my calander on my computer
Seems ok for now
Hello,
I've the same problem.
My reminders don't work... Even if I create an event now, that should remind me in 30 minutes, nothing happens.
Settings are similar to what you described in your first post.
So, does anybody have a solution? How did you solve it?
THANKS!
Hi, most of my calendar events are set with a 15 minute reminder. When the reminder pops up, I click dismiss. Then at the event time I get the reminder again. It seems that all the dismiss option does is snooze the reminder. In outlook, and on older Win Mo devices that I've used, the dismiss option actually dismissed the reminder completely, not snoozing it.
Does anyone else experience this, or know how to prevent it?
Thanks.
I have paintstakenly set all of my events (including birthdays) to have a notification of NONE. However, the Incredible seems to flash the screen and "loud ping" every 10 minutes to notify me of these events anyway. I have had to resort to running Timeriffic to turn off all sounds until I wake up.
I am wondering if there is a way to get birthdays (which I believe are the problem) to actually NOT notify if you have set them to NOT notify. I dont want to completely disable notifications in case I do have a meeting or something, but this is somewhat ridiculous.
Thanks
None of my events make any sounds if they are not set to notify.
<sigh>
Ummm ... ok ... so from that response I take it that you are unable to answer my question but replied anyway.
If anyone can actually answer it, I would appreciate any suggestions. I suspect that this may be more for events which recur yearly; perhaps those are prone to the problem.
Events can come from many sources, Google calendar, exchange, etc...
In exchange there is no difference between a birthday or any other event, they are just events.
Not sure about Google Calendar.
in addition i was wondering if its possible to make calls a notification so they dont bother me all the t ime when i am playing games. i cant do airplane mode cause i still need data and need to see who is calling but i hate that i have to mute it and then do the task swkitcher and go back to my game, i wish it was just a notifcation or an option for that or an app? anyone know of one?
