quick question, are manila and co0kies home tab two different apps used for displaying quick links, clocks, etc? can somebody explain this
my real question is... would the white gtx theme work on Kumars rom?

manila is what you are looking at when you run your phone normally. (Also known as HTC sense)
Co0kies hometabs makes manila into something it should have been from the start, (but then what would co0kie do for fun if it worked right from the start? huh? huh?)
There is also Max Manila, which is kinda like co0kies, in that it makes standard manila better.
You CANNOT have co0kies and max installed at the same time.

This is probably a stupid question but i can't seem to get the the weather animation on my tilt 2, all i want is the weather animation on the today screen?

There is no cab for it...Its part of the Sense UI.
I know it exist in Sense 2.5 but not sure about Sense 2.1.
Any ROMs you flash with Sense 2.5 in it will have it already.
so there are no standalone apps like that or something similar?

Nope...This is built in Manila/Sense 2.5 feature.
Sense 2.1 has the Weather clock, but not all the animation on the screen.
Flash a 2.5 ROM.

That picture is the weather tab, not the Today screen.

yes, there are various ways to do this. You could install either Dafunk's or DJCedric's graphic notifications mods to achieve this.

MaxManila will work (heavy, but a lot of customization possible). Cookie's Home Tab can also do it (and it's much lighter)

Yes, that's correct. You will need to have the relevant Max Manilla version installed to use Dafunk2's mod, and MaxTTM to use DJCedric's with sense 2.5.

I am using latest TP2 official 6.5 rom with manila sense 2.1. I have achieved all tweaks I wanted but no success removing the grey curtain under the flip clock.
I have tried many cab files or manila files but non of them worked for me.
I have removed top curtain and the slider curtain with success but I dont understand why clock curtain fails.
Any help on this=?

Hmmmmm I think that you are looking for transparent back to the flip clock?

I think he is refering to this post and the mod on there. Its only for Sense 2.1. Would love this for Sense 2.5

Im specifically asking about transparent clocks for manila 2.5...im not using max manila or the cookie monster mod..

Hi All,
I am using WinMO 6.5.3 from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=629652. This comes with Manila 2.5 on WinMo 6.5.3. Earlier I could see my Calender events/Appointments on my home screen for today (I think it could show upto 3 events on home page when using Manila 2.1). But in Manila 2.5 there is no space where it could be shown.
Is there any way we can achive this?

I have just installed "Co0kie's Home Tab" from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=625483 and it is a great Appl for Manila 2.5 and runs smoothly on TD2 as well.
Also the default settings are great and suited for me . Now my mobile have every thing as SBPMobileShell MINUS the Flip Animations (http://www.spb.com/products/mobileshell/). I think TouchXperience will be MUCH better one

i have used the search feature and only came up with the dusk theme...
im currently running manila 2.5.2012xxx and 5.2.21889 OS with ROM] [03-05-10] MR.X Sense 2.5_2012 [Build 21889.5.0.87]
i have a custom toolbar and slider, also like how quick this rom is.. just want to change the clock... do i really have to install the dusk rom for a clock like that.. i like eye candy.. thanks

You dont have to do dusk....
You could use MaxManila Ultimate 3.0
Its pretty amazing and you can choose between tons of clock and other awesome mods.

i dont like some of the changes to the layout of the screen/tabs.... wish i could just get the .cab for the clock like i did with my other clock thanks though... installed it and had white boxes where the txt would be and was running very slow at startup

I have never really had issues with MaxManila slowing down the 2.5....
And the reason you would have "White Boxes" where text should be, is because you have some other 2.5 Mod/Tweak already installed.
I would really recomend a hard reset and then install MaxManila fresh and not on top of other mods/tweaks....
That is of course if you want to use it
