You can try this
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=657372
if it works... share with us your experince
You can take a look at this package. I cook for WQVGA using Vistang's Visual Kitchen, so you may need to replace the pngs with those from a COM5 build. (But if you use HTC's email wizard you won't get to see these icons )
The structure of the EXT package may need modification too based on your kitchen.
i cant download the pkg... it hangs loading the link.....

he will tell me but first he wants bring out his rom with the feature and then he will help me getting it
in the meantime i keep on trying things
the file that whas attached above contained a mui(language file)
why only the language file and not the normall dll that comes with it(flashing now to see if it works)
im keeping track of all the files i am replacing adn if i manage to find out wich files to include i will tell here
but first i have to find it
cool... yeah lets wait for is release he is on his rights to do that
Many apps uses Muis to set some trasnlations another uses the same structure of the dll for dialog boxes... thats why some apps has and some hasnt

i think mike has all the right to wait with telling it
he has found something that should be impossible
he is finalizing his update and for finding out how it works he has the right to show people he found it
besides he isnt obligated to tell how it is done
he could also choose to keep the secret for himself
i have tried it today without succes and i have tried some combos with the files posted on previous page and moving arround register and comparing them
i would also wait with telling till i finished my rom and gave it to the users
still no news ?
PM the OP maybe he already ha sthe solution but dont want to share it
Anything ever come of this? I've been looking for a way to get the threaded email from COM5 on to a COM2 ROM (Specifically TMOUS stock 2.10) since I got my Leo. The Start menu's fine at the bottom with smaller phones, but I much prefer it at the top on the Leo - and I'm greedy enough to want the advantages of COM5 as well. Having come from an i900 Omnia with the latest COM5 builds, I miss threaded email.
Have been hunting high and low for the necessary files for some time, though I assumed simply overwriting tmail.exe & tmailutl.dll wouldn't do the trick - and everything I've read leads me to believe this is unfortunately the case. Surprises me there hasn't been more work done towards getting this functional..
If anyone IS working on this, I'm more than happy to test/help out if need be.
I haven't tried it myself, but I've seen this post:

I've seen this fix floating here for manila 2.1...
Is there one for manila 2.5 too? I've searched with zero results..
I cannot take credit for this but here you go.

Hehe. answering to my own request..
here it is, for manila 2.1 and 2.5, seems to work fine http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=583161

No, no, i've managed to revert to the properly working flip clock, it's just that the manila files provided in both the cab fix and the zip fix (they have the same filename but the unix command cmp shows the files to be different one from the other) do not fix the problem but instead corrupt the display. I provided my specific Manila version in case there is some significant difference.

why i have a feeling that everyone stops reading thread in post #3 right after links. if you'd keept reading, you would find a link to online patcher that should solve your problem. just submit your original file to it.
btw, cab from post #2 contains very first version of that patch. (as seen here) so i recommend update to whoever distributes it ;>

may sound bit odd asking such a question in this thread, but can anyone supply a cab or registry enrty (or what ever is needed) to enable the 1 hour 2 minute animation? The rom I use at the moment has it disabled (Cell Series v6 Manila 2.1) have asked in that thread but no one has replied yet, I could be wrong but is it a certain file that needs replacing? Would be great if someone could help out!
Thanks
find original maila package of manila included in this rom and replace 2a0ac464_manila file.
or just ask cook for the file.

well i use Os kitchen and EVK
i use the com2 branch (21898) same thing in com5
It doesnt matter which build i use, I have the same problem with quick gps
I have read somewhere it is related to the oem packages?
I have tried it with different manila packs like from rhodium an hd2 2.07 2.10
last but not least i have used as base the latest oem drivers from HD (1)
thx for the reply
I actually just had the issue-it was because I was testing out removing things from the startup queue to get faster reboots, and I removed bootlauncher, mainly to kill startkey.exe and sipgt_app, because I use FNKBD. Anyway, I overlooked the fact that bootlauncher also kick-starts some services (some totally effing useless, like usb2pcpopup). Among the services is gpsaux.dll-make sure it's loaded. If it isn't, the download doesn't work.
Sorry mate but that's what I'm asking, 'which base are you using OEM/EXT'.
Maybe a packages list would be wise if you made a hybrid rom I'm just quesing

Hi,
Because it has several components for Internet and bandswitching and Quickgps can only do a upgrade if your Internet connection is working 100%.
If you check the dlls/exe in commmanager it has a lot of dependencies.
ril.dll
dnsapi.dll
iphlapi.dll
to name a view.
Not that I'm such a expert but these dlls could affect Quickgps if you ask me.

Mostly QuickGps.exe dependency are into Shared_Modules but i cant find a dll into the dump folder IESHIMS.DLL, using depends Walker though.
I know most people like to use the latest packages but sometimes it's good to dowgrade certain components so they suite better to your oemdrivers.
A componont like commmanager is trivial in this case.

Best advise I can give is to keep everything from the same source close to your device specs and upgrade packages one by one and see yourself if everything functions.

hello fellow chefs
i am trying to make a rhodium rom and downloaded a kitchen there
i replaced all sys/xip packages to the ones i want and replaced all ext packages to the ones i use
the rom is working for 99% but i have two problems
i have the tap and hold bug in the dialer(tried different phone canvas and enhancement packages) and i have it in file explorer
i have a tweak that is supposed to fix it dunno if its the right one though

"MinimumTapTime"=dword:00000000
when i check the reg of the rom the valeu is set so it is processed
does some one have a idea what it could be?
edit: just found out the screen stays on when i get answer a call
some one know the regtweak to make the screen go off when you start a phone call

Hello, We understand that file is a compressed format but after to have expanded the file where do you copy them in "phone Memory"or "SD"???? Because no *cab in your Download;
yeah.. thats what i was talking about. no where see any cab file
good to hear, hopefully cabs will be released soon.
My Humble Apologies, I fixed the Post, Thats what I get for posting things in the wee hours of the morning half sleep. All fixed, Cab Upped.
I will be updating this post tonight again, few more new fixes and additions of features I found.
eager waiting for your update !!
i downloaded the .cab package. apparently it doesnt wan to isntall into my tp2. i got about 80mb of internal ROM space. but the application needed +-6mb. it juz said install unsuccessful.
Manila has to be disabled, and the messaging app has to be terminated from the task manager for it to install. I'll check the when I make the new cab before I put it up, just wokring out a few kinks that I dont want to see in there.
Stupid question but still a question: can we install this cab on Rom WinMo 6.5 Sense 2.5"french" ???

Yes you should be able to, but its in english so if you have your language set to french (Sorry dont know the lang code) it might not since the lang code is not 0409. I have seen sometimes manila get weirded out by a different lang code, but Always BACKUP your phone before attempting any install.
Sorry all I know I was to update te post, but still ironing the kinks out, main kink right now, too many spaces under the menu selection, its causing blank spaces, need to get rid of that unsightly look.
Thank a lot mate!!
Just for your own information the french code is: 040C
FYI to everyone, I will no longer be posting Cabs or EXTs with features, When I release new finds they will no longer be posted with links. All links will be thru PM, since it seems people like to steal work and claim it as their own.
All info on First post.
First off AWESOME work man, and sorry to hear that someones stealing off ur hard work. Please could you adapt it for 040C (French language)
I can translate from English if needed
just to confirm : is it fixing the problem with many sms in conversation mode ?
(for your info : pyrorob can't answer to that question ! : just I don't know , try it )
PM me your answer and a link to all what is needed to be translated , please

Hi
I would really like this update as I am so tired of getting the "SMS sendt" message when sending SMS. I Have tried to install the cab you have attached after disabling Sense and also after via Task Manager/Services "messaging service" set Manual and then reset the device but I still get the message that the installation was unsuccessfully.
Could you please advice me on what to do to get this installation successfully?
What is the procedure for installation of the zip file?
Thanks in advance!

seems to me you are pyrorob !
I apologize if this has been covered, but I can't find specific info with my search terms.
I'm cooking for Rhodium, WVGA, WM 6.5.x sys 21682. My base ROM is ATT's stock august 30th 2010 ROM. Using OSKitchen Zero, latest release.
Basically, I can't get any version of sense to work. I've tried cooking 2016, 2018, and 2019, and can't get any of them to work. The problem is that when I try to import the EXT packages with OSKZ, I get an error stating: "The OEM package you've selected doesn't seem to be valid..."
So, I thought maybe it was just being strange. So I placed the packages manually into the kitchen and tried to build the ROM and platform builder would hang and I'd have to cancel the process.
Any tips tricks or ideas?
Thanks a lot!
Smith

I'm not sure what you mean by sourcing exactly, but on my PC they're located on my desktop, and I've also tried placing them straight into my kitchen without using the GUI to do it.
I got the files from a post here on XDA.
Yeah, I believe I have all the additional dependencies as well.
I've been reading and it looks like I have to modify the app.dat file and some other files?

OK so you got them from XDA - as I am assuming you are not using the At&T standard ones. (that was what I meant).
The ones I got from XDA were already CFC'd and were already in EXT format not OEM and so did not need any importing as such, just copying into the directory.
I did not need to modify anything - cannot remember the thread I got them from tho.
I will try and have a look, but my kitchen is now such an amalgamation of packages that I couldn't be sure where it all came from.
Ahhhh ok, i was confused because it says's import, ext package then it asks for an oem location.
Ok, with that cleared up, place straight into kitchen, gotcha. How many dependencies are there, can you recall? I think i have them all but I want to make sure.
Thanks a lot!

Edit:
No go, but here's the error (attached in the pic)
You've got files inside of modules. You need to clean your modules up.

Alright, is there any reading I could do to help me figure out what to clean and what to keep?
Thanks
Smith
Try looking inside the corrupt modules, then look in some clean ones, and figure out what doesn't belong. It should be obvious.
Someone else is just going to tell you the answer, but you're better off figuring it out yourself.

Couldn't agree more. I'll check it out.
Thanks for the info, much appreciated!

Edit: one last question. It's killing me finding all the WVGA dependencies for this package, they're all vga is appears. This is what I'm using: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=797602
and when it lists the "required packages" when I download it it's labled VGA, not WVGA, and I think that'll be a problem. Will it?
Right, cooking sense is not my strongest point so I will probably leave it to others to take it further, but
Modules vs files - you need one or the other I think. Look up recmod and reversemod.
I just used a set of Manila files uploaded and CFC'd by someone from the latest official LEO ROM.(By Patensas I think) and maybe updated the HTC framework as well.

Alright, so I've figured out which packages I need to recmod and have done so. I haven't found those leo files yet, but I'm looking. Just got home. I'll post back when I see how that goes!

I have never had to recmod any of the sense files.
What you need to do is delete the files (ie the .dll) within the module. The kitchen will use the module to create the file on the device, it does not need the file as well. Hence the kitchen is giving the warning.
I think.
Hi, just re read your first post.
Could you confirm you have done the following:
Dumped the ATT base rom and rebuilt using just that with the EXTs that came from it, flashed it, and checked it worked? (So you should have had a working Sense in that) as per the Oskitchen instruction set?
If there have been problems with that, try ticking the box next to recmod on the Phone Canvas Enhancement package. I think there was an issue with the ATT ROM around this.

Yeah, I did that. Here's the weird part though. That worked the first time. But after having all these difficulties, seeing as I haven't made much real progress, I rebuilt my kitchen. Then it wouldn't work. I would get the exact same runtime error, eventhough it worked before and I've installed all the libraries.
So, as of now the problem lies somewhere with my kitchen. I'm trying to troubleshoot it right now.
Any ideas as to why that might be? I've tried the FAQ's in the OSK thread and haven't fixed the problem :/

Smith
No sorry.
I had some kitchen problems when upgrading from oskitchen 1.32 (tried to completely reorganise my EXTs at the same time and it went horribly wrong), so went back to 1.32 to sort it out and will upgrade in due course.
If platform rebuilder crashes during the build then you dont need to waste time flashing.
Disable all EXTs and build and then add them in blocks till you identify what is causing the crash.
If it crashes with no EXTs then try the original sys, and if no joy reimport the rom?
Are all the recommended packages ticked for Recmod?

I can't help you on Sense, as I don't use it, but why would you recmod anything? That's a bad idea. If you have a 6.5 kernel, use it.

Actually recmodding ATT Phone Canvas fixed the problem.
I was able to generate the ROM image with sense 2017 cooked in, but sense won't launch now. "Tap to Start Sense" so I'm double checking dependencies, exe and dll files as we speak.
Thanks a lot for all the help!

Smith
So i got sense 2017 to at least load. now, however, none of the softkeys work, and tapping on a message in the message tab doesn't work.
So far so good. lots of learning to do yet, but I'll get there.
Thanks a lot for al the info!

Alright, I can't get sense to work again lol. It just kinda stopped, eventhough I'm using the same packages for manila and its dependencies.
Any ideas?

Does anyone know how to cook sense with old kitchen style(build os) for Omnia II?
Thanks in advance
