An keyboard tip and a Word Mobile question - HD2 General

Hey all,
Let's get to the tip first. Some of you have been experiencing lag with the keyboard as I have. I've found that by turning off the tactile feedback vibration, the keyboard becomes much more responsive.
Next, my question is, how can I get Word Mobile to display in landscape so I can take advantage of the larger keyboard?
Thanks in advance.

(bump) Anyone help?

Look for "tx total landscape" cab. If i had the cab i would attach it....sorry

Hey much appreciated, thanks!

Large Onscreen Keyboard for hi-res options

Is there a way of getting a larger onscreen keyboard to show when using OzVga or similar hi-resolution apps?
The default onscreen keyboard on the Universal (at 320/240 res) is quite usable - but when you switch to 640/480 res the onscreen keyboard is a much smaller, much less useful one.
Has anyone figured out a way to show/use the larger version that's already in the software, or is there another keyboard skin I can download?
I've done a bit of searching (using the obvious keywords of "onscreen" "keyboard", "Larger" etc etc etc and found nothing except post about stopping the onscreen keyboard showing.)
Anyone else found this annoying??

Cheers, useful link, but not actually what I'm after.
I really want a keyboard that's "half-screen" rather than "full-screen" - ie just like the default keyboard on the 320/240 resolution.
Try this

Can you smart people help us owners with front facing keypads?

Hello. On the samsung i760 the front keypad does not have any sort of t9 mapped to it. This was a function that alot of us expected and I was wondering if its possible for someone in this forum to pull the feature off your phone and put it into a .cab file(donations would be made!!). I am not sure this is even possible but Im trying everything. Thanks
The reason we got devices with the form factor of front 12 key and slider QWERTY is because sometimes we don't need to type out a full message and T9 does fine on the front keypad. I can't see why there is any good reason for Samsung to have left this functionality out. What a dumb idea.
anyone please?
bump please?
anyone please?
I would love to see T9 on it also, but I dont think there are many working on the i760. Samsung isnt as easy to hack as HTC.
My two Himalayas (HTC) don't even have T9 predictive text on it. Does your phones at least have auto correcting text? IE if you type "Youre" and press the space bar does it turn into "You're" or "Teh" into "The"?
Yes it the auto correct and predictive text
I lost those features after installing and then un-installing the Diamond keypad.
You could hard reset...
hard reset and backup brings out the files. The issue is the backup also has the issues as it is in the registry.
Now that alot of people have Windows 6.1 on their i760's now, does that make it any easier to hack or add t9, or does that not change a thing.
Have a look at the demo of this... tell me if it helps at all...

Larger Touch Keyboard

ok. I know I saw someone mention on this forum that there is a cab you can install for a larger on-screen keyboard. I've been searching the forums, but can not find this cab. I hate typing with my stylus, and with tf2d installed I rarely flip open my phone anymore (landscape is still not fully supported).
anyone know where I can get a hold of the large on-screen keyboard? An attachment or a forum link would be ideal.
thanks again!!! =)
I'd definately be interested in this too...

=(
thanks so much for the help! I reviewed all of these keyboard and decided that I like the HTC touch keyboard the best..... Only problem is. I install the cab, and it does NOTHING! It still has the same old crappy on-screen keyboard! (stylus required)
I am using ttran's OTP 7 (tf2d manila)
I am uploading the cab now, so anyone else who has time.... test this and let me know if I am the only one with this problem... and if you know a solution please post.
Thanks again!

You have to touch & hold the little arrow by the keyboard to select the new one. You'll have to do this every time you reset your phone, but the attached cab will fix that. Just install it & you'll see it in your programs list. This will allow you to set the default keyboard so it doesn't reset each time you power up your phone.

PCM Keyboard for Touch HD?

Hi I'm a little disappointed with the keyboard on the HD even with Gsen the keys are quite small and I find myself having to use my nails.
I did a little googling and found PCM Keyboard which does what the iPhone does and highlights the key before you press it.
Unfortunately it doesn't seem to work on the HD - I was wondering if anyone has got this to work or found a similar program?
Probably you just need the correct skin, try there http://pocketcm.com/phorum/read.php?14,10615
Try this SPB Full Screen Keyboard.

This works perfectly and increases the keyboard size to fit the whole screen and give iphone like feedback on which key you are hitting - you are a legend!

Has anyone managed to get the Greek layout to work properly. I cannot get Greek letters to show on the keyboard.
@stt57
Can you please post a picture of the HD while writing in landscape with the PCM Keyboard to see what is left of the screen?

Just wanted to let you know that the new .23 version has a lot more, much nicer features that you can use.
I have also developed a theme for .23 for the HD. It can be found in the blackstone themes subforum, as well as on pocketcm.com
