Second Mobile Tel Number - HD2 General

The options enumerated under the "Contacts" contain 2 numbers for Home and 2 numbers for Work.
Can this option be enabled for "Mobile" also ??

Problems in Contacts

Is there any way of having more than one mobile number for each of your contacts? I bluetoothed all my contacts to my XDA2 from my P800, but on ones with 2 or more mobiles it only sent one of the numbers (in most cases, the wrong one).
Also how can I set a default number for each contact? It seems that home is the default if a contact has both home and mobile numbers
You just have to be flexble on the "title" you can put any of the hp no into any of the "home tel" or "office tel" and as the change the default goto ur contact list on ur extreme right there is a indication of either a mobile no "M" or a house no. "H" just tap on the letter to change the default look
Aha, you're a star
Many thanks

prefixing numbers for cheap calls

on our wizards, how do we stick in prefix numbers to get cheaper (or free) calls, see here, pocket pc's are ignored
http://www.internationalphonecall.net/From_a_Mobile.htm
i tried spaces, commas and "p"
there must be a way. it would be really cool if you didnt need could choose which prefix number at any given time of day, as some of these numbers only work mon-friday and you need another number weekends.
there is a "calling card" feature on windows when using a dialup modem connection? something like that maybe
Use two commas between the numbers. I use this method all the times to store my calling card prefix access number, then the PIN, and finally my destination number.
For example, for my mum number (oversea), in her contact, I will use the Office field for this purpose (Home and Mobile) are her real numbers.
In the Office field, I will put as followed:
1800xxxxxx,,xxxxxxxxxx,,011xxxxxxxxxxxx
Access Number,,PIN number,,phone number to dial
When you hit that entry, it will dial, then pause, then submit the next numbers. I succesfully use this method in Windows Mobile 2003 SE (Wallaby) and in WM5 (Universal).
thanks, spot on.
so easy, i guess one comma is just not enough pause.
any idea how get around having multiple numbers, as these numbers only work while you are in the UK, go to france which i do a lot and they wont work.
i figured having 2 different contact groups in outlook and switching them? any idea?
Just use the unused field in your contact entry.
There are so many entries you can use....
Business has several fields... business 1, business 2, etc.
Home has several fields, home 1, home 2, home 3...
Radio...
Fax...
Telex..
Assistants...
etc..

Multilanguage smart dialing

For all of you that have smart dialing on there device you can now add support to more then English
as you know the smart dialing is looking for a name in English or sequence of digits (phone number)
a friend of mine developed an app to enable the support of Hebrew for the smart dial without using a 3part app on your device or look for a unique dialer
due to the fact that the smart dial also looks for sequence of digits he developed a program for the home pc that converts fonts to numbers (lets call it "codes"),this codes will be saved in the contacts radio field and in the home-2 field (so if you search by first name or by family name will find the contact you look for)
on the IPAQ 600 you can have a sticker that will carry the fonts for every digit ,for phones that don’t have hardware keyboard you can crate a dialer skin that will carry both eng and your language fonts or just memorize the location of your division for fonts per digit
the application was done using XML file so other non English users can use it and edit the XML to there fonts
please read the attached instruction before you start using it
to gave you a sense of the app and what it dose I will give an example
if you have a name that looks like this
first name :" ΩΨΨ"
family name "ΡΠβН"
let say that digit 1 on the dialer =(ΩΡΠ) and digit 2 on your dialer = (βΨН)
the code that will be crated for this names are *122 in radio field of this contact and *1122 in home 2 field of this contact
to separate between codes and real phone numbers he add " * " at the beginning of any code, but you don't need to add * before any search because the smart dialing is smart enough to look directly for the code
to cut things short
backup your contacts ,download the app, read instruction for installation and then edit the XML file to your fonts
(you will see in the XML file that 3 = א ב ג and it also stands for D E F now replace the אבג with you fonts for every digit )
then convert all the names to codes using this app and sync your device
p.s. – when you locate the name it will show the name and "code " name ,tap on the name then tap on the real phone number (that you will not call the code)
the conversion can be done more then one time if you add more contacts
to use this on any phone (strong or weak ) you must have smart dial and your home language fonts at windows/fonts dir on your device
hope it helps
enjoy smart dial for eng and your language for free

How to un-remember an action???

When I am in messages (for example) and click on a contact then click on call - some come up with several numbers and others just dial the mobile number...
Now i am sure that i have never clicked the "remember this choise" checkbox... but for 90% plus of my contacts (out of the ones with multiple numbers) it just dials the mobile number without asking me what number to dial! - also on the few contacts that do ask me what number to dial they also seem to have a default action of "call mobile"
just wondering if anyone knows why this is happening? or how to un-remember the number that has been selected
Thanks
Kris
