Your first post made it up already, sometimes you have to give it a min to appear. Look just below this one in the list now, you'll see it.
Mods, please close this dup thread.

That's easy, don't put one on. Its pretty scratch resistant, and there is nothing you can put on there to prevent major damage. Every cover I have tried just made it more difficult to swype, or smudgy etc...
I'm for the naked screen revolution!

Buddy i don't know if it was intentional to open 3 threads with the same topic but it didn't look good.
that said, I closed the others, but seriously.. duplicate threads is considered spamming the boards, no duplicate threads.

i have had good luck going with bodygaurdz. Not too rough but enough to know its there. I had trouble adjusting to the slick glass screen coming from the TP2 so it helped slow my finger down.

I agree with the OP, i had a Zagg on my G1, and I've stated in other posts myself, i don't like the "Grip-y-ness" of it, makes it a pain to swype/pinch/slide your finger across it. I'm just gonna say basically any generic screen protector you see at wal-mart or something is gonna be next best choice, but will offer minimal protection. Just don't take a dremel to your phone, and should be enough protection from sand/change in the pocket type scratches. Just make sure it sticks good, I had one on my first iPhone, and some sand got underneath it and it just peeled right off. That's probably where Zagg helps the most, those things stick like glue.

if you want some slickness, go with a matte screen protector those are suuuuper slick and resist fingerprints as well. i went with an ultraclear though, just didn't like the way the matte ones diffused the light. well at least the brando one.

You must have never seen this then lol
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NcEaehKWr2s
I personally have the Invisible shield installed just because I really hate the smudges and finger prints and it came wit my maximum protection shield so I used it. I do have to say though that it was allot easier of and installation then any other Zagg I have ever installed (I have installed tons) and it is allot let grip on the screen portion it self where your finger doesn't stick like it would with previous shields. I believe that they may have changed the shields up as well at the packaging and instillation process.

i would like to have one that you cant even tell its there so it doesnt interfere with clarity of my movies lol

That youtube video is just stock glass. He doesn't have an invisible shield on it. In which, the stock glass is pretty durable, but i dropped my phone the other day (the day before i got my case D and it hit corner first, but laid screen down. I picked it up and blew on it, before i even touched it, didn't want any dirt still on it. There is 1 very tiny spot on my screen where you can tell a grain of sand hit it and its just a little crooked line you can barely see in proper lighting. So a grain of sand can scratch it, provided it's rubbed against concrete -.-.

I had the screen protector T-Mobile sales on mine and my wifes HD2 up until yesterday, and changed over to an invisibleshield by zagg. I'm happy with it and haven't had any issues with using the phone with it on there. Plus my movies look A LOT better with it than the previous screen protector.

I just got my ghost armor in the mail today, it is actually front, back, and then smaller side and top, bottom pieces. I'll see about posting some pics when I install it. Not going to do it tonight, am very tired and don't want to screw it up.
Someone in the Invisible Shield post promised to post pics, but never did. I too was really curious how it looks, since I have never seen one in person.

Pictures for Invisible Shield (Full Body) on Fuze
Hi all,
Here is my Fuze that i covered with Full Body Invisible Shield. I like it, made it feel rugged and i can really put it at any surface now without worrying about scratching the sides. The four points or should i say eight points of the phone corners are not that protected. The IS has been covering my phone for almost 1 month.
I also increased the brightness and contrast of the pictures when i uploaded it so you guys could see the IS better.
I bought this so called "free lint cloth" from WalMart, but lo and behold, it's not actually lint free, it HAS lots of lint when i used it. So on the back of my Fuze, you will see a few white dots, those are the lints from the cloth. Well, lesson learn, gotta make sure it's lint free cloth
Hope the pictures help. But overall, i really like my IS.
thx for the pics - i wish someone would jsut release a decent non-glossy backcover replacement already for the fuze - i dont want to deal with protecting the back faceted stuff at all.
Do you find the screen protecter to reduce the screen sensitivity/scroll speed at all? The stock screen protector ive found to do this a little bit with my stylus input.

Looks good. I will very likely order one as soon as I get the Fuze. Your pics definitely helped me make my decision. It's hard to believe Invisible Shield doesn't have pics like that on their site, so customers can get a real look at what it looks like installed.
Thanks again!

It felt kinda weird after i first applied it, for the first week i would say, the IS feels alien sort of to the Fuze, but after that i let it cured under a desk lamp every night. During this time, i almost think about removing it and not using it, but i let it go and just wait after a few days and voila, it's really becoming the skin of my Fuze.
The screen becomes a little bit sticky with the stylus, i do have to get used to it, but after the first week, everything is good.
Eh. invisibleSHIELD doesn't do it for me. I'm ordering bodyguardz. It looks to unprecise.

Thank you so much for posting those pictures, it does worry me a bit that the corners are exposed, you would think that the corners would be the first to hit the ground when dropped but the good thing is that IS doesnt add bulk and allows the fuze to keep its good looks , leaning towords IS but have to do just a lil bit more research

would you consider bodyguardz has the most accurate precission compared to IS, ghost armor, and whatever else? I'm still trying to find a skin that is _specifically_ made for fuze and covering the corners as well.
i am thinking of getting bodyguardz.. been using them ever since
dont like Invisbile shield anymore but the back is good. front sucks

Insible Shield in Malls
I'm in the LA area and Invisible Shield has kiosk in some of the malls. You can se/touch/feel, etc.. it first hand. I looked at it and am going to have them (they cover the phone in about 45 minutes) my FUZE.
@cyberblue
So far, none of them covered the corners >.> none that I could find. This is because it would peel at corners and come off because they are round and not dead flat straight like the diamond is. There might be later. I ordered Bodyguardz after looking at the pictures and seeing that it looks much tougher and protects MUCH more area. and the invisible shield looks like crap. It is not fit for the fuze. Looking at the pics posted by someone on this forum, You'll notice that the screen protector and the front panel covers are not curved for the fuze. They're just straight.
***EDIT***
I'm curious. Since invisibleSHIELD usually has the correct dimensions and to the looks of this picture, it seems that the OP bought a touch pro body cover instead of a fuze body cover. I think that is a camera hole by the AT$T logo. But I'm not sure. I'll pm the poster of these pictures.

Yea,
I did buy the Touch Pro GSM version of IS. Indeed, there is a hole in my AT&T logo, the IS had hole in it, i should have just put the small IS holeto cover it , but my mistake, i threw it out and i forgot about it.

I wish, I tried putting on a InvisibleSHIELD last week and that was a disaster.

HD2's display indeed covered with glass, and it's very scratch-resistant (video)

Here you go - if you scroll down to the first video on the page you'll see how they scratch HD2's screen with keys, a knife and scissors - and none of these leave any traces on the screen.
Warning: This is not for the faint of heart. Unless you are used to eating babies for breakfast you may be better off not watching this brutal torture video. Here's a quick test to check if you're ready:
1. Do you plan to start using an electric vehicle to help stop global warming?
2. Do you consider your personal contribution to the cause of Free Tibet insufficient?
3. Did you ever believe a politician?
If you answer "yes" to any of the questions above, this thread might be better for you.

Waouh ! no screen protector for me too !

Personally i'm seeing a smudge over where he was scratching, without cleaning the screen no conclusive information can be taken from this.
Well, he says there are no scratches left, for what it's worth. I would trust his opinion in this case rather than impressions from the video.
well even if their was scratches on teh scree from SISSORS it is still impressive. i mena come on, the guy was trying to scratch the screen and it diddnt.
what it doesnt show on the video is the amount of pressure he applied though.
I'm sure you can scratch it, picking the right tools and the right pressure. But I think it's rather safe to assume that it's scratch resistant enough to keep the phone in your pocket without any shields.

agreed, i think the point behind the entire "scratch proof" is to prove that placing it in your pocket without a screen protector will not have it coming out looking like a touch HD 1 This is great news in my humble opinion!!
not sure what is so bad of putting a screen protector, really? I won't take a risk at all to have a permanent scratch on my device!
Well, because I hate doing things like applying those damned protectors; because those protectors get scratched fairly easily and your device starts looking like crap; because I can never apply them accurately enough so that they don't have bubbles underneath.
I hate them with a passion, really. I even wanted to by an iPhone because of this. When I first heard about capacitive screen on the Leo I didn't give a damn about multi-touch (and I still don't care much about it). My hope was that HTC would use a glass screen surface. Now I'm happy. The screen is scratch resistant; if I still manage to put a scratch on it, I'll have it replaced - it's not that expensive.
that was stressful watchin that The poor TD2

agree 100% with u, man i loved those iPhone screens, i could care less about the multi touch, i mean great, but if my HD 1 would have that screen, i'd be more than happy using it for a good more couple of months!

Ah c'mon! Some of you guys arguing about whether it scratched with scissors, ffs a car windscreen will scratch with scissors!! It very scratch resistant, i'm very impressed. Christ I wouldn't be surprised if some of you started complaining it's not dishwasher proof, jeez...

it seems like not a reliable test to me, the reviewers seems using light pressure doing the test. And I really don't believe that any phone in the market can be really scratch resistant. Why taking the risk. In real world usages, there are many things can scratch glass surface very easily, and why leave some permanent scratches to the expensive device? What is so wrong with a screen protector?

Not sure if you can, I yanked mine off so fast, it was like I was 5 again again on Xmass morning. I have never used screen protectors on anything and frankly I have never got a scratch, I think they are huge ripoffs. The screen on the Xoom is very tough gorilla glass.
I WOULD recommend the Motorola case that snaps around it, some people complain that you can't charge it with it closed, but that is very minor. Otherwise it's a good case. You will want a case not only to protect against droppage but to protect the screen and make it overall less slippery when you carry it (often under your arm). It also kind of Hides it, so to most people it just looks like a little black notepad, which keeps a lot of people from asking what it is.
Dan
you can use it. I kept mine on for a while yesterday until I was ready to install my screen protector. Only downside is it feels real gritty but it works fine

That is the reason I bought InvisibleShield, the same reason I got it for my phone. It helps to reduce glare and fingerprints.
I kept all the plastic on mine for about five days until my skinomi came. I didn't want a single scratch on my baby while i waited for the full carbon fiber/ screen protector to arrive! Worked fine with plastic. Edges started to peel back after a couple days, that's it.
I've had mine on since day one. Figure when it starts to come off I'll just take it off and do without. Not worried about scratches, just seemed like it'd allow me to be lazy about cleaning for a while if I kept it on over the screen.

It won't act as a screen protect as much as a figure protector lol.
I left mine on for two days till I got a real screen protector, it will work for smudges but ID be a little careful about scratches. It's a good idea though so you don't have to clean the screen before you put the real protector on

I'm sure you know most techies (and clumsy people?) like keeping their gadgets as perfect as they can. If that means covering it in damage-resistant plastic, then why not? I've never been one for screen protectors... but I definitely see the point. Full body protectors also seem very useful. You can bump into things, drop your device on the ground, put it in bags full of other stuff, throw it around (not horribly, of course) and still not have to worry about damage.
Its much better than letting that one little scratch you tried so hard to avoid get on your device. Unless you just don't care. However, after paying 100+ dollars I would surely care. Can't have expensive things that look like trash.
My original plastic is still on the face, after 5 days of use I finally took the other plastic off.
I'm having a real hard time deciding whether to put a screen protector on this thing or not. For the first time in a decade of using the stupid things I think I'm going to try going without one. I'll be heartbroken if I end up with a gash though. This is my first Gorilla Glass product so it's a foreign concept to me.

gorilla glass scratscratches surprizingly easy! And I never used to care about screen orotectors and stuff until I started reselling my gadgets on eBay. I usually get my tech on sale and end up getting same as I paid for it back with a well preserved gadget and a good listing. Plan on doing the same with my 25% off xoom in a couple months or year when the next google experience tablet is released...

Yep, same here but I guess I've developed a different kind of "analness" eg, instead of keeping the plastic on the leather couches, I clean and condition them every 3mos (with Lexol).
Instead of putting a screen protector on my Evo, it always flies solo in my pocket everywhere we go (keys & nicknacks go in the other) and slide it in with the screen facing my thigh
Not sure I can fit the Xoom in my pocket but it'll stay in the safety of the home most of its life.

Screen scratch test fail

hi chaps,
i recently got myself an evo 4g and was contemplating a screen protector. then i came across some videos on YouTube proclaiming just how tough the gorilla glass (?) on the evo is and withstood all kinds of torture.
anyway, in the spirit of finding out for myself, i tried the same thing to my phone and i definitely suggest not trying it yourself. The screen most definitely does scratch. Now we now.

Ok, so, you went from "I should get a screen protector!" to "I'm gonna take a razor blade to this *****!" in the span of a youtube video?!
Jesus man, I hope to god you don't find out about failblog or else your hospital bills are going to be ridiculous.
ha ha!!
nah man... i was considering a screen protector. Always had one on my HD2 and Touch Diamond. But then i got to reading about how tough the glass was.. and then the YouTube videos. I though to myself, this is brilliant., no screen protector needed.
I initially tried with just the corners and there were no scratches, after which i figured let me catch the main test on video just for sake of it.
now, with what i did to my Evo, the outcome should have be the same as those other chaps who posted on Youtube, but i got a couple of scratches which i took pictures of.... what i proved was that its highly unlikely those Evos came away undamaged or theres something fishy going on.
Btw, im probably not going to use a screen protector. If anything, maybe a slip case. I mean, after all that coin scratching, scicssors scoring and blade cutting, it only came away with two scratches. The second was small enough that i found it hard to take a picture of. The one i could take a picture of is noticeable if viewed from a particular angle. Looking at it head on in normal use is not noticeable.
Plus if it does get that bad, the screens go for $20 bucks on ebay...
but then again, there is the question of resale though.... hhhmmm.
Anyway, i looked on the net and all i got was confused answers, take it from me chaps this is definitive. And ive got the scratch to prove it.

Haha. You said chaps....... I remember the glass on my *gasp* blackberry storm being tough. I scratched it with everything and never once noticed anything. Never tried with my evo. Just too sexy of a phone

Some times the cheap ones work the best screen protector wise check out extreme guard or few others eBay there cheap and work well. I'm using a Kraken case to keep my new phone mint.
I have a watch that has a saphire crystal that is supposed to be unscratchble. I used to demo it when drunk rubbing the face on concrete. Well one night it actually did scratch, and it was a biggin. Luckily Rado replaced it for me free of charge. Lesson learned.

btw, which screen protector has the most glass like feel to it in use?
ive consistently come across posts complaining about zaggs tacky feel and yellowing... so, which reigns as king of the hill of screen protectors?
i wish i could remember what mine was on the hd2. feels pretty nice and no discoloration.
Hmmm failblog sounds interesting......
I.... wouldn't have tried this. XD

now that i have, you will never have to.
its just something i was really curious about. the youtube videos seemed so unlikely but technology does advance and i wanted to personally put it to the test.
no regrets.
its just a phone. nothing last forever.
and as a mate put it, i go through mobile devices faster than he updates his facebook status.

I thought the gorrila glass was pretty tough until i bought some earrings and i had scratches all over my phone
I use my phone naked since there's no way I'm putting a case on such a huge phone.
It's stood up really well, actually. I've dropped it on concrete a few times and the only noticeable signs are some indents on the plastic around the outer rim.
Though if you look closely, there's little chips missing from my screen. You could definitely scratch it pretty badly without too much effort in my opinion.
My phone has a zagg screen protector on it and I don't have any yellowing issues... however if your fingers are oily or wet (duh most peoples are ) then yeah it can have a tacky sort of feel. I usually just do a quick wipe of my index finger on my jeans before I touch my screen.

i get the case thing. i had an otterbox defender series on my phone with out much trouble til it became to stretched to hit the buttons correctly kinda disappointing i guess im glad i used a gift card to try it out. The screen protectors that came with are not bad but my phone is back to being completely naked ( oh noeesss!! ) but it seems to be fine.
glass wise no i wouldn't of tried this carrying this no shalantly in my pocket has shown its wear on the screen from random things in my pocket even though i "try" to keep it in its own pocket
Thank you OP for test and results, this answers some questions

stones in earring i would expect are much harder than the glass of the screen and would undoubtedly scratch.

Screen Protectant not Protetor.

Friend recommended this to me, '303 Aerospace Protectant' works like a charm at keeping fingerprints off the screen & if you do get any it's really easy to wipe them off. I had tried RainX & it worked, but not really well. Also as a side note you can use this stuff on just about anything ! My car looks like new again inside & out. Even tires. At any rate give it a try. I'm done with screen protectors.

If this has been mentioned here before, my apologies.
Thanks for posting this. I've never heard of any stuff like this. I will definitely be trying it soon. I've never liked armor all and this seems like what I really want.

I have some of this in my trailer. I'll have to give it a try. Do you spray it onto a towel and wipe it on the screen?
I just use a paper towel to put on & a micro-fiber cloth to wipe off/polish. My tablet is still holding up fine where as my phone with the RainX isn't, so put the 303 on it tonight. I'm sure your going to be happy with it, let me know & no I'm not in any way shape or form involved with the company I just love the stuff.
So lets say someone takes a key and slides it across your screen? Does it protect it then? (No flame intended... I'm trying to wiegh the pros and cons of this stuff compared to the ****e screen protector I got off amazon free with a case.) The screen protector I have now picks up scratches like a scratching post for an animal... but the screen underneath is most likely pristine.
Jeez ! Do you know the difference between Protectant and Protector ?
Hmm made me curious, saw it on ebay also.
Dit you tape-off the front-camera or microphone? I have the later model with mic between glass and alu.

If someone did that to my A500, I'd spray the person in the face with 303 Aerospace Protectant. But seriously, no screen protectors for me. I may try this stuff.
No, I just put it on carefully Also found two things if you put it on wipe off & let set overnight it seems to work better. I still haven't done a second coat yet but have read that works better I don't know. All I know as I said mine is still holding up. Just use a micro fiber cloth to touch it up occasionally.
