Does anyone have the AOSP dialer as a flashable zip? Can't find it in a thread.

same here i dont really need a flashable zip i just need to know whats the actual name of the apk is called
I'll pay a few bucks if I have to. I just want something I can use on Fresh 2.0d that's more responsive than the HTC dialer.
This is the same thing I am hoping to find here,
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=664472
Hope we find a way to get this working!
I love sense but dont like the dial bad.

Well, it seems there are lots more to learn with my wildfire..
i've search few thread but their problems were not solved.
I've downloaded a theme file which i got it from internet, it's an .apt file. i have no idea how to install it into my wildfire.
here is what i've tried:
zip the apt file
go into recovery mode
install zip from sd card.
and..
nothing happened then =(
anyone knows please teach me? thanks a thousand times =D
i dont think those .apt files are supported on android phones.
if you wanna theme up your notification bar etc go here and upload your framework.apk
http://circle.glx.nl/
if you're looking for an actual whole theme for the phone, look around xda for a port, i don't think there are many or any for the wildfire. these are usually flashable zips.

wow. thanks for your fast reply.
i've actually found another way, which is download themes using ADW launcher and it worked.
just that the dock can only fit 2 icons and cannot be added. just figuring why... the screen shot of that theme showed 4 icons..
how is this http://circle.glx.nl/ working to change my statusbar ? what should i do ?
what framework should i peek from the kitchen for wildfire ?

Upload the framework of the rom you are using. That's what it says.

hi guys, i would ask all the developers if is possible to modify the standard android dialer adding T9 search for contacts (like MIUI dialer / YOULU / DIALER ONE). Could someone create a flashable zip (I'm using DeFrost 6.1a)?
Thank you for your hard work.
any luck with this?
I'm also interested in this function, as I found that Youlu and Dialer One to be rather slow...
bump...
I'd also really like this feature. T9 style contact searching within the dialer is just about the only thing I miss from Sense now that I'm running CM7, and I'm not a fan of any of the dialer / contacts replacements that include it. They're all just...ugly, imo, compared to the stock dialer.

This is added in post cm7.1 builds. Perhaps just installing contacts.apk from those kangs would work for cm7.1 official release. Will you try? I can provide apk.
Is defrost froyo based? No luck if you are not a good friend of some cm developer.

I like the simplistic CM7 T9 dialer, works very well for me. However, the phone reverts back to the original non-T9 dialer when rebooted. Any suggestion how to permanently keep the T9 dialer?

Yes.
First backup your original apk file.
It is inside /system/app
Then copy new file and paste it in /system/app (over old one).
Set unix/linux permissions on newly copied file as rw-r--r--.
Reboot phone.
Use some root capable file manager such as Root Browser Lite or ES File Explorer.

Hello,
I recently root, TWRP, and added CM 10.2 rom, but not happy with current MMS and cam that came with it. I have the original APK files for both but the file manager will not let me install. Do i need a different apk in order to run this or am I missing a gapp file somewhere. Any help would be greatly apreciated. Also Im' running Nova if that makes a difference as well
No you can not, the stock files can only be installed in a stock based Rom.

You cannot simply install stock apps on a custom ROM. With that said, there is a flashable zip for the stock LG camera that works on custom ROMs.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2525783
Regarding the messaging app, I've yet to find someone who has made the stock one work on custom ROMs. I agree that the stock mms app is better than AOSP and I'd love to have someone make it work on custom ROMs. Until then, maybe try a 3rd party app, like Textra.

Thanks for the link, but I believe you may have misunderstood me. It's the stock LG messaging app that I prefer and would love for someone to make it so that you can flash it over an AOSP ROM much like there are zips to give you access to the LG QRemote app and stock LG camera app.

Can someone make flashable zip of this?
http://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google-inc/google-dialer-new/
Currently using an ASOP build and the new dialler is the only thing missing. Everything else is on the play store

Try this
This does not work on Nexus 4 Marshmallow ROMs (Frank, Chroma, Fake Nexus).
I hope someone is able to figure this out. AOSP dialer works, but I really like the small changes from the Google dialer. I was so excited to see txuki's gapps, then crushed when it didn't work!
Pixel GPE Dialer and Contacts
This mod now works with Android N.
Updated to Google Pixel version of the Dialer and Contacts
I have taken the GPE Dialer and Contacts found here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=68096911&postcount=95 and made it a Magisk Module. This allows the Dialer to act as though it is installed directly with in the system without actually modifying the system
For information on what Majisk is and how to install it, please read here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/software/mod-magisk-v1-universal-systemless-t3432382
This mod was tested on the HTC 10 using Magisk v7.
Only thing you can't do is change your Wi-Fi calling preference. If you are on WiFi preferred, you can't change it unless you disable the MOD and reboot. Make your change then re-rnable the MOD and reboot again. That is the only problem I have. It is the same if you flash the original zip that writes directly to system.
This zip file requires Magisk to be installed. It will not work without Magisk.
Changes sync'd and now available to download in Magisk Manager. Thanks for those testing...
v3.0.0
Update to new Magisk template to work with Magisk v12+
Update Dialer to v8.0.148481159
Update Contacts to v1.7.6
Or download from here: Magisk-GPEDialer_HTC10.v3.0.0
Download Here:
Magisk v7 version
This can be installed through the Magisk Manager 2.0 or flashed in recovery.
Note: All updates will only be available through the Magisk Manager going forward.
10/16/16 - New update with Google Contacts 1.5.16 downloadable through the Magisk Manager...
GPEDialer Pixel Version 2.0.0
GPEDialer_v5.1.13(Magisk v7)
GPEDialer Marshmallow Version 1.0.0
GPEDialer_v4.0.12(Magisk v7)
Magisk v6 version
Flash the zip file in recovery.

Thanks for posting, I personally prefer the Google Dialer UI over the Stock HTC. Is there any functionality issues? such as wifi calling compatibility, or speakerphone, receiving calls etc?

Use a root file explorer to go to /magisk/GPEDialer folder. Create a new empty file and name it disable then reboot
To re-enable, just delete the file and reboot.

That one now gives the right folder. But the update-binary file still says its the pixel launcher under mod name while flashing just an FYI.

That worked thanks!
Just a quick observation I noticed after using this mod for the past few days,
The ice view case works on receiving/rejecting calls with the GPE Dialer, but the caller always shows as "unknown". I'm assuming it's due to the HTC Contacts app integration into Ice View, but just figured I'd mention it. The fact that everything else works flawlessly, is totally awesome.

After flashing this everything is working perfectly except I dont have heads up when I receive a call..I remember having it when I flashed GPE dialer on my M8.. is there any way to enable it?
Thanks

As far as I know, heads up notifications have to be supported by the rom you are using. I am using Viper 3.1 and it works for me.

I'm sorry, there is really nothing I can do. All I did was package the dialer to work as a Magisk Module. I don't use xposed but maybe there is an xposed module to do what you want. I just have no idea. Maybe someone else can suggest something.
