I am using VanillaDroid by GrdLock and love it but miss 1 feature. The stock HTC dialer. I need different ringtones for different callers. I have tried taking the apk from another ROM and copying it to the /system/app dir, tried installing it through adb, and tried to install it from the phone. Everytime, cant install. Can anyone help?
when trying to install via adb, i get this error:
adb install HtcDialer.apk
1201 KB/s (940584 bytes in 0.764s)
pkg: /data/local/tmp/HtcDialer.apk
Failure [INSTALL_PARSE_FAILED_UNEXPECTED_EXCEPTION]
Don't install, just place the HtcDialer.apk in /system/app and uninstall dialer one.
i got that error too...

how did you pull it from the SDK?
i installed the emulator and then ran adb pull /system/app
and that pulled everything from the system app folder
Hmm... I tried to run it with apktool,
but it does not decompile the whole thing.
it seems like apk files for honeycomb is structured differently.

System apps cannot be replaced by installing the apk.
A) Make a flashable zip, ain't so hard.
B) Push via ADB to /system/app/
C) Try downloading root uninstaller to uninstall market and then installing the APK

Hi all, I have installed cm 11 on my device.. After the installation I couldn't install some apps from the play store, the play store gives me this message: "insufficient storage available". The weird thing is that some other apps can be installed without any problem. I have tried Lucky Patcher but that didn't solve the problem. Also I tried this solution: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2443267 but the app which has the problem doesn't have a folder in the app-lib directory.. Any help will be appreciated. :crying:

When you use lucky patcher, it creates a modified .odex file. Just go to the folder root/data/app and delete that .odex file. It should help.
Hi fellows,
I've just screwed up my leeco stock system by deleting accidentally all system files. TWRP is fortunately still working, but now I can't copy a new rom file to the internal storage, as I can't use any file explorer app.
I've tried to do this by using minimal adb fastboot 1.4.1 portable:

Even though I followed all the steps, It didn't work.
Any suggestions?
Thank you.

Thank you for your answer, but it didn't work for me, but thanks to that driver I could push some little files (1kb) to my mobile phone:
BUT I couldn't repeat the process with big files (like the stock rom), because the transfer gets stuck by the 1%.
The issue has been solved!
I could push the file by using Minimal ADB and Fastboot (Version 1.4.2 with installer) in recovery mode.
I needed a new computer without any old adb drivers and I used the driver suggested by bayad: https://forum.xda-developers.com/mot...-twrp-t3180926 with windows 10 in safe mode.
Thank you very much.
