You can try downloading Adobe Flash lite 2.1 or 3.1 (It's one of those two, Not sure of the version that allows you to). It let's you play *.swf files on your storage card HOWEVER it has to be a Flash version under 7.0 it cannot play adobe flash 10.
Feel free to correct me on this.
Flash games
It works on my TP2. The best games to try are mouse-only, since they'll work with your stylus. I also found that the smaller the game the better (<1MB in size). I have FlashLite installed. You'll have to load the SWF files on your SD card, and then associate them with appzone.exe (found in the FlashLite folder). YMMV.
Flash games cont'
Forgot to mention, you can grab these from your browser. I use Firefox. Find the game you want, and let it fully load. Then, right-click on the page and pick "View Page Info". Click on the "Media" tab and then look for the appropriate SWF file and save that.

Ive Tried All The New ways to get my flash bundle to work after the 6.1 upgrade, as far as downloading the new flash bundle, installing both on storege card and installing the flash bundle cab inside of TCPMP player folder.
The Video sites show up on my phone, but when i press to play i get an error message.
Also the video player will not even open up, it says Crash; Unexpected program failure. Please send "crash.txt" to the developers. Program will now exit
Mod Edit: Moved from Titan Upgrading
TCPMP won't work.
The only free workaround I have found is to install YouTubePlay. Use the flashvideobundle to download the file, then play it with YouTubePlay.
Bummer.
Search this forum for tcpmp crash error and there is an entire thread with updated files included to get tcpmp and flash video bundle working with the new builds of WM 6.1

This is untrue, look for a fixed version of TCPMP that happened after one of DCDs updates. I will look for mine.

Here is review of youtube (and flash) working in Opera Mobile on a HTC Diamond with installation instructions
http://gadgetmix.com/index/?p=1507
So I tied it out and I didn't get too far, I thought I'd just try the obvious first so I went straight to youtube, my keyboard just kept popping up and it felt slow. None of the videos I tried worked either, but I'm not so sure I installed the right flash .cab. If anyone can provide a link to the preferred flash installation I'll give it another go. I guess I can live without it though, the youtube app on my diamond is fine as it is. I would like really to watch bbc iplayer, but I don't suppose this would allow that even if it worked 100%

iplayer works on Skyfire and works quite well, the browser itself needs a little work yet though in my opinion.

Go to link I mentioned in my previous post
edit: solved
1. What else beside the flash comes with 2808 ?
I tried once newer Opera, but beside the new build number it was realy sux, It took long time to open the Opera itself (5 -10 seconds) instead 3 second with the orginal Opera comes with the Diamond (1522) , and the orginal Opera open flash as well (it open streaming player and play it..)
2. The links above didn't say if it's VGA version...
this trick works for me in a touch pro. (cooked into the Raphael 1.051 unprotected rom)
2808 is VGA and opens quickly 3 seconds + or -.
I visit Youtube & i can watch youtube videos, jerky but can watch them. maybe 5fps.
Normal flash sites, with no videos only flash animations play better in my touch pro.
Where Flash Cab ....
Sorry uniqueboy my frist post is incomplete...
You need to install first cab for using Flash http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=423860 (My_Flash)

Not working yet
So here's what I've done on my Sprint Touch WM v6.1
Installed Opera 2808 on SD card.
Killed Opera9 process.
Installed My_flash to SD card.
Copied NPFL3ppc.dll to /Windows/Opera9/plugins directory.
Soft reset.
Opened Opera and went to YouTube.
No videos would display.
Sooooo....is there a step I missed? Seems to me like I got everything, but since other people are getting this to work I'm assuming I missed something.
AJ
Opera is alredy present on INTERNAL STORE... don't install Opera and My_flash on external memory !

Opera is not installed on internal storage (not anymore at least, though I don't remember uninstalling it).
The instructions seemed to indicate that I could install Opera9 and My_Flash to the storage card and it would work. Is that not true?
AJ
mmm, I read that it is better to install and operate in the same flash memory.
I've always seen opera and flash in \windows
I propose to do so

Yes I have an Opera9 directory in /windows and that's where I put the NPFL3ppc.dll file (plugins) but that is not where Opera launches from (the OperaWM.exe and OperaL.exe are not located there -they are on the storage card).

OperaWM.exe and OperaL.exe are located in windows directory!!!!
Have you possible to remove opera on SD card (unistall) and reinstall on \ ?
You can also:
1) Search where is presente Opera9 directory (with inside directory styles, locale, etc.) and put plugin\NPFL3ppc.dll
2) Search where is present Opera9.exe and OperaL.exe and update with my zip
3) Install My_Flash where is OPERA (if in SD, install on SD)
Reboot... and Pray !!
If don't run i suggest to HardReset Mobile to restore original installation and retry install.
Good luck

TouchPro 2 has Flash Lite as a plug-in for Internet Explorer. Meaning you can use IE to browse a Flash site up to Flash Player 9 (running Actionscript 2, to be precise). For running Flash Lite as a standalone app (file extension.swf), you would need a standalone player. For Flash Lite 3 and before, there was an installer previously from Adobe site but I couldn't find it anymore.
For Flash Lite 3.1 (the latest), Adobe has released the Flash Distributable Player for Windows Mobile phone. In some counties, the player will install over the air for supported handsets. TP2 is a new handset and is yet to be supported for OTA installation. However, you can still install that :
http://labs.adobe.com/technologies/distributableplayer/
Note that the application itself will be packaged as a cab file. User install the cab file and upon installation, it then check to see if the handset has the Flash Lite runtime or not. If not, it prompts for the installation of the runtime.

You can select either location during the install process.
Or you could use the flash fixer upper thingy that patches your Opera to play embedded flash.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=544770
hmm.. I did the opera fix to get my TP2 to use flash but most sites will not work.. tells me I need a new version of flash.. any ideas?
Hi Everyone,
Great wealth of info on here so congratulations to the site developers and maintence guys as well as all the contributers.
I am a complete newbie to HTC phones and i would be really grateful if someone can let me know the following so i can start to enjoy my new HTC HD2 Phone. It seems like the networks limit the glory of this phone and you guys have been able to make changes possible so keep up the good work. having read a few post i've managed to change the stock 1.43 version to a stock 1.66 and i will hopefully try to build some confidence to use a customised one in the future.
Here's the questions:
1) How do i install application such as TOM TOM/Co-PILOT from my PC to the device? - Do i have to transfer the whole folder of the program to the SD Card? i have a licence TOM TOM copy so how would i use it on the phone? i have read cab file and registry modifications being mentioned but i really don't know what this means! would be grate if someone could explain.
2) in the same way if i have a movie on the PC can i drag and drop it into the SD and it will play on the phone?
3) Can i download Apps other than from Market place? again is it the case of drag and drop onto the SD card once the application has been downloaded?
I am a heavy email user who needs a device where i can access emails on the go, watch a few movies and use sat nav. I refrained from purchasing the iPhone as i wanted a windows based application for outlook and office compatibility.
please excuse my ignorance and apologies if the questions are very basic but i want to get to know more and i would be grateful if anyone can offer some good advice.
Hope someone out there can help!
Thanks in advance!
PS. Is this really the daddy of HTC Phones?
1) to install apps from your pc to your device, just start the installer on the pc. if you have your hd2 connected in "active sync" mode, the app will be immediately installed to your hd2. else, you get a notification that the app will be istalled as soon as you plug your hd2 in. cab- files are installed by running then from your hd2.
2) not really. the hd2 does not support many video formats out of the box, you will need to install tcpmp, for example. i use "TCPMP Tech1 Enhanced TP1_TP2 Digital Play HD CineVisionScope Version", this version of tcpmp supports most formats.
3) you can install apps from anywhere. for example, if you download a .cab in this forums, copy it to your sd card an run it from your hd2.
Thanks for your reply wergor,
I've found a website with the TCPMP Tech1 Enhanced TP1_TP2 Digital Play HD CineVisionScope Version cab file.... would it just be a case of installing this onto my pc and syncing with HD2?
will this allow me to play movies on the phone?
surely you'd think a device like this could play movie out of the box!
look forward to your reply.
cab files are installation files that must be run from your hd2. copy the .cab file to the sd card, open the file manager on the hd2, navigate to the file and execute it. follow the installation process (needs some time) and you are ready to go. (i think on the site are one or two things mentioned you have to set up to get the best performance)
this version of tcpmp supports most video formats, so you shouldn't encounter any problems.
The easiest way to install apps downloaded to your PC is to use CABviaActiveSync.
I have uploaded it for you. Just install to your PC and it will add an option when right clicking any .cab files.
This way you don't need to transfer to the storage memory first.
HTH
Bixx
also, you can try the software "xmedia recode", this software allows to convert any video file to a format that the hd2 can play without any additional software.

i tried everything...every player and option including the tcpmp + the ''flv plugin'' and could not find a solution
there is something that actually working and not just a name?
thanks

Download the TCPMP Plug-in. Go to your mobile device's web browser and download the software. The file download prompt will appear, select "Run." Wait for the download to end.
Install the TCPMP Plug-in. After the download, the installation wizard will appear. Follow the instructions provided. It is best that you download this plug-in to your internal memory, choosing the external memory may cause errors.
Play FLV files by going to your Windows Mobile web browser, start TCPMP, by going to the "Main Menu" and "Applications." Visit the mobytube, site and search for a video, click on one of them and press "Play". Now you can start streaming videos online. You can also download the video directly to your Windows Mobile device and play it by clicking on the file.
