Where did you purchase it from?
Edit NVM found some!
Man, I just finally did the apps2sd thing with a class 6 and hardly noticed a speed difference.. This thing is tempting......!!
Isn't class 6 the fastest the Hero supports?
The class of an SD card doesn't tell you how fast an SD card is - it just guarantees a minimum level of performance. You can find class 2 cards that perform better than the class 10 minimum if you shop around (example here).
See here for more details.
The point is, don't get too het up just because you can put a class 10 card in your device, because it may well be that a much cheaper and lower class card can perform just as well.

Dave

Lets keep up the excitement people...
I hope the SD card slot is on top this time!! Nothing like the Wi-Fi SD card I'm going to buy sticking out the bottom!
If you look well, you can see it is on the BOTTOM!
the xda2 wifi card is said to be an extra, doesn't say anything about taking up the valuable sd slot. assumed it'll be use someother possibly internal way of connecting?
any thoughts folks, wifi at the expense of the SD slot doesn't seem a fair trade off
At the end of the year , Sandisk will produce SD card both wifi and memory ...
The WiFi is on the lines of a new rear battery cover, or small enough to go under the battery cover, and connects to the port behind the battery cover. Well this is what i have been told by the boys at o2

Which is not necessarily good as it implies a proprietary peripheral - which usually translates to OVERPRICED peripheral. I hope this is inaccurate - or that the SDIO/memory devices will have drivers (and the HTC device no barriers to their use).
A custom made xda wifi adapter must be the best way to go. may cost more but it'll much better than having some SD memory/wifi combo sticking out of the bottom!!
It'll be super neat to have it internally mounted, where as the SD slot being on the bottom would be a real pain in the ass.
I currently have installed a 1GB card and I want to know how much capacity wizard (wm6.1) can handle?
can anyone tell me ?
I believe that this is 2Gb, people appear to have problems with anything larger.
non-SDHC 4Gb
Been using a 4Gb normal mini SD(up to full capacity at some times) for 2 weeks now, so far no issues(no additional driver installed) I also have a 4Gb SDHC but never got that to work, and now it doesn't really matter now..
keeping fingers crossed...

thats interesting, and your running WM 6.1? I'd be interested to go get one now and test this out on mine as well, I've been swapping 2GB cards for some time now!
Thanks
Actually, a 4GB SD card should even work with WM5. The problem is that it's rather hard to find 4GB standard SD cards - most cards of this size are SDHC, and they won't work with wizard due to hardware incompatibility.

Correct-o-mundo.
Took me half a year to find the 4Gb non SDHC card, long after I have given up. Yup I am running WM6.1 TNT, Its right's latest ROM.... it's keeping my Wizard alive...
So I have been reading in some post about partitioning your mirco SD card. I just wanted to know why people are doing this and what the benefit to the user is.
Bwahahahahahaha
that was not right, this is better

serious answer now
people partition thier cards into 3 for
fat32= for loading roms and standard storage
ext3 or 4= for apps2sd: where programs are stored and ran
linux_swap = for a swap file to increase ram
now has that answer your ?
cause two halves are better than a whole.

lol... but it still makes up the same crap whole lol.
Oh man... Anyone watch Man vs food? Dude ate a 7lb burrito with everything... talk about a "hole" lol..
Oh wait... Sd card? I thougth we were talking about tacos.
If you have flashed a new rom, but didnt know anythign about partitioning your sd card then you jumped to soon my friend.
i call bs when you say you have done some reading.
So a new guy who can't do a forum search can do a barrel roll.
Benefit for most people is it allows you to run your apps off your SD card giving you virtually unlimited amount of room for apps. Most of us also use a linux-swap partition which many of the roms use to speed things up.

It's dropped $2 now, not sure if I really need it. I have like 50 other microSD cards laying around and lots of cloud storage...but it's soooo tempting lol
In for one
Waiting for these to be $40 or less to pick one up. Shouldn't be much longer.

Hello guys, just bought a Samsung Galaxy S4 i9500 from a technology store in Cyprus
I have a problem with the SD Card Socket, it doesn't click when i insert the sdcard and i have to drag it out to take it out, it won't click out either.
Using an 32GB Class 10 Verbatim MicroSDHC.
I've used the application SD Tools several times and when i "Start Speed Tests" the application freezes and i can't use the sd card in any other application, I don't know if any other guy has this issue.
Please tell me anything if u know how to fix this.
It seems your socket is broken. You have some options which are to take it back to the store for replacement or repair, or buy the part yourself and change it. It's a very easy fix.
Costs about $5 on eBay.

thank you very much, the strange part is that i used a SanDisk 16GB Class 4 microSDHC card and it clicked perfectly, it even clicks-out too, and it works perfectly, i don't know what to think, i've put the two microsd cards next to each other and they have the same exact size, i don't know what is wrong ;/
