Hi All,
I apologize, and I have searched and am familiar with the larger cookies homescreen cab. But I'm just loooking for a simple mod that only adds 16 quick links and doesn't really add any other functionality or interfear with anything else.
Anything like that available?
Use the cookie's home tab editor (CHTEditor) and you can select the number of icons you can have.
Okay I found one that works really well without all of the overhead...

This is not Cookies correct?

The touch flow 3d programs tab uses the default crappy icons for the programs shortcuts, does any one know whether we can use our own slightly larger icons for these shortcuts?
Try TFL3DTABICONSV3.cab - I've installed them on the Touch HD and they work fine. Colour icons. Wish I knew who did them so I could attribute properly.
Edit: Oops. Too much haste reading your post. The above icons replace the TF3D tab icons, not those in the Programs tab.

how does that make the tabs look? do you have a screenshot or just give us a description, thanx
Here's a screenie.
thanx mate
i still hope some one has an idea as to how we can use our own icons for the programs tab, not the tab itself but the actual icons for the programs

This looks to be from the Diamond forum, does it include an icon for the Stocks tab??
It doesn't include a colour icon for the Stocks tab, so it still uses the original b/w one.
Overall, a very neat little upgrade!!

Yes, it works well sans the stock icon. I use this along with the NoTopCurtain and SemiTransparent_bottom_Bar and Pamas Transparent Slider. Provides a nicer look. Cheers.
Thanks AFW, have installed it and it looks much better than the original black.
regarding the topic of the thread, im not sure if its been discovered before but iv found a way to add your own icons in the programs.
Using resci registry editor or similur go to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\HTC\Manila\ProgramLauncher
You will notice that theres 23 folders in there
Now lets say you have atleast 1 program activated, the program details for that should be in folder "0", you will see in that folder that the path for the application is stated, you also notice that there is a string called "IconPath", put the path of the icon you want into that string and then save.
Move to a different tab (any other then programs) and then come back to the programs tab and you'l notice the icon has changed to your preference.
One slight issue is that the icons become really small, im looking into how that can be changed. Im asuming theres one of two solutions, either
1. Change the resolution of the icons
2. or set the size some how in the registry
(Im looking into it, and please post any findings you have in this thread)
Another discovery I made is that by copying one of the folders in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\HTC\Manila\ProgramLauncher and then pasting it back into HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\HTC\Manila\ProgramLauncher with the next number 24 (there are only 23 folders, represeting 23 possible program links in the programs tab) and saving it, gives you another possible application link in the programs tab.
The only problem with that is when you select it and add an application it remains blank.
Hi..
I'm having some difficulties downloading this file. Is there an alternative download site or can someone kindly email it to me? Much appreciated.

Why homescreen shortcuts aren't seen is beyond me, however I have noticed that there are two shortcuts found on the homescreen already. Call History and Calender, pressumebly all these do is reference a location on the device.
So my question is, can we make it so we can add our own shortcuts, to link to another location or possibly an application?
Adam
I would donate 25 dollars or euros for anyone who can pull this off, I almost can't live without my tasks there
If you both are talking about ammending the 2 right and left shortcuts on TF3D Home tab then you should go search around.. Its possibel to change with many apps or via registry..

I've already managed to do this with an application called TouchFlo Detacher.
I'm referring to the two shortcut links placed underneath the clock or to the right of it when in landscape mode. You can't miss them.
I'm just wondering if it's possible to add or change them.
I found a way looking in many forums, they say you need to use a famous tool called ssmaho... try to look here on xda, where it's hosted. I downloaded it but I don't understand how to use it... so far no luck in linking pocket informant to calendar and home tabs. any help would be very appreciated!
Change yes, add too, probably not
See http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=497197 for various changes
But I can't get the plugings working http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=508102 to add Tasks
This thread is very old however I don't like to create threads for questions which have been already asked:
I use a Jackos Hybrid ROM with WM6.1 + Sense 2.1 (fastest I've ever seen), but I miss at least 2-3 shortcuts to most popular programs on my homescreen. Is there a theme or a patch which couls allow me to put non-standard shortcuts directly on my HS? Independently on the history and calendar fields.
I've tried google, but there are tons of unnecessary information but I couldn't find anything helpful. Here, on xda, I've found information about some mods (like MaxManila) but none is reported to work with WM6.1. Besides these mods are heavy, and I don't need a comprehensive application but a small patch to have 3 icons on HS.
Thanks in advance guys (and girls of course)!
Is there an app or a tweak I can use to add an additional tab to the touchflo UI? I would like to add another app shortcut tab where I can add shortcuts. I prefer to not change the default ROM. Is there a cab file that can do that?
not that I've seen
You could try ManilaToday
and add a plugin that allows shortcuts
Not sure which plugin but I'm guessing They'll be one
maybe by messing around with iphonetoday
the icons don't have to look like an iphone's
Yeah hunt for ManillaTodayPlugin (MTP), installed fine for me (but read carefully), although personally I like ROMs where the Start Menu is a scrollable shortcut grid
Hi guys,
I was wondering if I could completely remove the Quick Links "Shortcuts" from the homescreen of HTC Sense. The Program icons it shows are very ugly and not optimized for the big size.
one easy would be to instal cookies home tabs along with cht editor.
this allows you change how many quicklinks you want (up to 75 in total I think) or alternatively leave them blank and use cht editor to "hide empty quicklinks"

CoOkie's Home Tab Editor is what you need as samsamuel posted, in combination with CHT Editor, you can make the large ugly Quick Links into 4 or 5 much smaller links, or hide them altogether.
I have attached a couple of pics for you to see how it looks.
The programe link is here, johncmolyneux's CHTEditor link is also in that post. - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=
I hoping someone out there could help me out. I'm trying to figure the path from icon to application that the icons on the slider have. Some icons on the slider, (photos & videos, sprint navigation, etc..) when picked, take you to a different looking version of that application versus click on the icons in the programs list. What I'm trying to figure out is, where or how do I find what application the icons on the slider are linked to, by path or otherwise. If you could provide me with any help, I would appreciate it.
Thanks
Sense 2.5? Cookies Home Tab Editor allows you to change what applications launch with some of the slider tabs (along with a bunch of other awesome customizations).
You will need to have both Cookies Home Tab, and the Editor installed.

I'm not trying to change the applications that the slider icons open, I'm trying to find out the path that the slider icons have.
