Replace the 5Msize = 643628 value with 746028

orange internet... to navigate the web
orange world... to navigate wap sites
orange mms.... multimedia messaging....
after connection setup the default connection for navigating the web is set to orange world... and i need a reg to modify this to orange internet...
Oh i understand now.. i think i have the soluton!
Correctly Configure your settings
extract GetBinaryFromReg
Connect Phone to computer(Activesync)
run .bat file in GetBinaryFromReg(follow the prompt)
rename RapiConfigOut.xml to _setup.xml
Extract Cabwiz_tools
replace the _setup.xml with the one you just renamed(from GetBinaryFromReg Folder)
Run .bat in cabwiz folder
This should of created a file named regcab.cab
rename it to connections.cab
this will configure your settings when installed!
If your interested in using provisional XML to also backup ur email & wifi password settings to a cab i wrote a post here about it
thanks man... i'll try it... for the email settings i used makisu... will see about wifi...
nice you can take the email settings from the maiksu xml file and then use cabwiz to turn it into a cab if you like also.
does the signature for the email account (exchange) sits in the registry? i'd like to back that up too....

Picture sending question
Got a strange error. I was trying to send out picture from the camera app today. The pic was taken at 2M, so it was too large to send via MMS and Gmail. I changed the registry entry to increase the max limit of files that could be sent via MMS or email. Once I did that though, the Camera App nor the Picture viewing app launches the email tool correctly. Previous to the registry change, if you told either the picture or camera app to "send", it would ask which account you want to send from, then launch a new message. After my registry change, I hit "send", it asks me which account, then it comes back and asks what account again, and then just opens the inbox of the account I selected. I changed the reg values back to the 300K limit, but it didn't change the way the camera or picture app selects the mail account. I can work around it by starting a new message then inserting the pic, but it is annoying that it's not working like it is supposed to. Anyone have any ideas? BTW, this is the registry edit I made: Send Large MMS: Registry: HKLM\Software\Arcsoft\ArcSoft MMS UA\Config\UI\Size Limit Key: wap2sendlimit1 (you can also change wap1sendlimit1) Default: 307200 New Value: 1228800 (1200K) Set the new value by going to Text/Multimedia --> Menu --> New --> MMS --> Menu --> Options --> MMS Options --> Servers --> T-mobile MMS I changed both WAP2sendlimit1 and WAP1sendlimit1
When I want to send pictures on MMS I do it the following way: "pictures and video" - marks the picture I want to send - pushed "meny" down to the right - selects "send..." - then chooses MMS. Then the picture automatically resizes down to a suitable size, 20-50kb If I jump directly to "send as MMS" the picture is sendt full size. Dont ask why.
Turn off outgoing text message notification?
Does anyone know how to turn off the outgoing text message notification without having to turn off all notifications in settings?
turning it off! yeah its actually really simple. it does require u to download a program called pocket toolman. which is also easy to get I found mine at freewarepocketpc.net once u download it, and if u can download it straight from ur mogul as a .cab it'll b easy as well. run the cab file and save it to ur device. once u do that u should be able to find it in your program files. clicking it will make it appear in the bottom toolbar as a small computer. open it, then open tools, then os tweaks. click next till u see an option to turn off message notifications. it'll require a soft reset bt then after ur done! enjoy. it also allows other tweaks to the phone which are helpful.
Cool, thanks a lot, I'll check it out! Seems like such a simple thing that should have been included from the get go.
Registry Tweak If you are comfortable doing registry edits this will stop notifications for outgoing text messages. HKLM\SOFTWARE\OEM\SMS Change "Delivery Ack" from 1 to 0 Now go to HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Inbox Once on 'Inbox', start a new 'key' and name it "Settings" when done, click on your new key Settings Now you should be on HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Inbox\Settings Start a new 'Dword' and name it "SMSNoSentMsg" with the 'Value Data' of "1″. Works like a champ.

thanks for the help that sent message notification was gettin really annoying
Setting default folder for opening messages, and removing Outlook E-mail!
Hello. Firstly, is there a way to set the messaging program (WM5 standard) so that it always goes to the same folder (i.e. text messages, rather than e-mail)? Secondly, is there a way to get rid of the bloody Outlook e-mail account??? i never set it up, i just set up my Bt Mail account. Cheers
Don't know if this helps but try here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=368812 This works for WM6 WM6.1 confirmed but some people are reporting loss of sms receiving tone. Although I personally didn't. But can't confirm for WM5. Also at this location: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Inbox\Svc There is a default key called "Default" (LOL) It's value on mine is pop3 if you change this to read as one of the other folders in this directory it should open which ever one you name it. For example: At this location: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Inbox\Svc you have say 5 folders (imap, pop3, SMS, MMS and Activesync) change the name of the default keys value to the folders name (SMS) and it should now be default after a soft reset. The "Activesync" folder is the "Outlook" Account. Hope this helps.. diigibio
SMS & E-mail notification issues
Hi all, I can't seem to change the settings for the notification of SMS and e-mail messages. Both seem to make the device come out of standby, play the notification sound, and show the blinking green light. It's annoying, and I can't seem to be able to change it (even with the TD2 tools). Any one with the same issues? Thanks
Have you turned off notifications for SMS in Sound Settings? Also, there's a cab floating around called SMS tools or something that may have this tweak. or Use a regsitry editor and go to the key: HKLM\Drivers\BuiltIn\RIL Set DisableSMSWakeUpEvent to 1 If the entry does not exist, you will have to create it.
How-To : disable/remove HTC customizations
Hi everyone Well, I decided to create this thread because I really don't like HTC customizations and wanted to regroup all the way to disable or remove them. So, if you're like me, or if you just want a true "Microsoft Windows Phone" then... Let's go ! - Disable HTC Notification Manager : HKLM\Services\NotificationManager\Flags = 4 - Disable HTC Notifications Enhancer : HKLM\System\Shell\Notification\OEM\UseDefaultUI = 1 or Remove HKLM\System\Shell\Notification\OEM - Disable HTC Menu : HKLM\System\GWE\Menu\CUIHandler = 0 - Disable HTC Date Picker : Remove the key : HKLM\System\GWE\Commctrl\CustomDateTimeCtrl - Disable HTC Task Icons (battery, signal level...) & Pin Dialer : Remove the key : HKLM\Security\ResOver\Bitmaps - Disable HTC Volume : HKLM\Services\HTCVOLUME\Flags = 4 - Disable HTC CommManager (from Notification bar) : HKLM\ControlPanel\WrlsMgr\Redirect = ":MSWRLSMGR" - Enable MS SmartDial : Remove HKLM\Security\Phone\SmartDial\UI - Disable HTC Dialer : HKLM\Security\Phone\Skin\Enabled = 0 TRICK : when you disable HTC Dialer, you lose the auto screen off function using the proximity sensor. But if you want to have the WM Dialer + auto screen off, you can edit this registry key : HKML\System\State\Phone\PSensorStatus = 1 WARNING : this registry key goes to default (0) after a soft reset. I've made a little mortscript ("Psensor.mscr") that put the PSensorStatus value to "1" when a call is made for the first time after a soft reset. Install Mortscript first, then put Psensor.mscr in your "\Windows\Startup" folder. - Disable HTC Messaging App : Use "Zenyee Disable HTC Messaging 1.2.cab" - Disable HTC Contact Chooser : Remove keys "HKLM\Security\Contacts\Chooser" & "HKLM\Security\Contacts\PropertyPicker" - Disable HTC Font in Start Menu : Remove key "HKLM\Security\Shell\StartMenu" - Remove HTC Battery & Backlight : Copy the content of "HTCBB.zip" in your Windows directory and overwrite the files. - Remove HTC Device Info : Copy the content of "HTCDI.zip" in your Windows directory and overwrite the files. - Get MS Keyboard (or others MS SIP) back (thanks to mnet - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=604023) : HKLM\Software\HTC\ezsip\SIPMenuEnableMSSIP = 1 then Keyboard -> HKCR\CLSID\{42429667-ae04-11d0-a4f8-00aa00a749b9}\IsSIPInputMethod\Default = 1 Block Recognizer -> HKCR\CLSID\{42429691-ae04-11d0-a4f8-00aa00a749b9}\IsSIPInputMethod\Default = 1 Letter Recognizer -> HKCR\CLSID\{42429667-ae04-11d0-a4f8-00aa00a749b9}\IsSIPInputMethod\Default = 1 Transcriber -> HKCR\CLSID\{F0034DD0-2AD4-11d1-9CB0-E84BE8000000}\IsSIPInputMethod\Default = 1 Phone Pad -> HKCR\CLSID\{51A2CB38-154E-4C92-A625-A83871C99EC2}\IsSIPInputMethod\Default = 1 To be continued...

Dear LPaso Thanks a lot for this thread...I am too very willing to destroy any residual presence of HTC! Still I am unable to restore the full MS Outlook Contact (as I PM to you earlier)...please can you look into this issue? Thanks a lot Saulo866
Thank you for this thread! Very useful
how do we disable htc contacts and use wm contacts instead>?
I did some cab: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=5743878&postcount=3074
Great thread! Thx!
how to disable sms sent notification
Added a script to have the proximity sensor working with the default WM dialer.
When I disabled a HTC Dialer and pick up the call, my screen looks like this. Outgoing call looks ok.
add "get back ms keyboard"
How do I install the proximity file ? I am not familiar with mscr format. I also like this app ? Will we have to wait for Miri cooks your reg tweak suggestion into the xtralight ROM before we get this prox app to fully work automatically ? Thanks for all your tweaks. I will have a look at them in detail.
You have to install Mortscript, then put the .mscr in your \windows\startup folder
Thanks for this quick solution! However, I must admit being a newbie in this arena and have to ask something probably very obvious to everyone else on this site. I loved the idea of receiving text messages as text-to-voice, via bluetooth. So I installed your cab and it worked like a charm to remove HTCs text message interface. But I don't know how to make the text messages come through as audible voice to bluetooth (or through the speakerphone either). Are their settings in the phone I must change? I tried pressing menu within the text message thread, looking for a command setting. No luck. Ideas? Answers? Thanks much!! vic starman *update: I have gone into voice command controls under Settings. All tic boxes are checked, and "Enabled" is checked. Under Notification Options, I also have the box for "announce notifications using bluetooth hands free if available" checked. *next day update: Also just realized that by making this change, it disabled the ability to send voicenotes as mms from my device (phone). Now the only option when I press to send the voice message is to send using one of my email accounts. It forces me to select an email account, and if I select "send as mms" anyway, it forces me into a page to set up a new email account. Can I simply uninstall your change to return my old HTC settings? Or did I remove them entirely by making this change? Thanks for your help!!! NT Still not receiving texts via voice. Help!
is there no MMS function in classic SMS view?
sorry, I just don't use MMS at all, so I don't know if they work.
i tryd it.. there is no mms support with this WM sms view.. that mod solfes the problem of long sms loading times from HTC messaging, if there are lots of messages in a thread. but no mms support to send quick a picture or file.. ;/ threaded view is via reg edit also posible. but, thnx! still a good alternativ for htc sms edit: next prob after unsinstalling, allways the outlook app opens instead of the htc messaging tool.. ;/ hard rest >_<

MMS Greyed Out I am happy with reverting to WM default messaging client but would really like to get the MMS function working. I tried to send a quick pic and had to resort to email. Not the end of the world but annoying. My guess is a reg edit will fix this but I'm not daft enough to find it. Hopefully, one of the many XDA geniuses will sort this out.
