Does anyone have MobiTV in a .cab?? - HD2 General

The one on my phone didn't work and when it asked me to update it ended up failing to install so ended up having to remove it from the applications. Does anyone have it in a .cab or have the web address where I can download it?
Thanks,
-FN

FixASRunAT Link?

Searched all over trying to find FixASRunAT.zip and all links I find are deadends. Anyone have a valid link or can someone provide me the file? I have been trying to resolve my AS Not Connected for a long time. I have tried all know recommendation/solutions to no avail. I don't want to do a HardReset. Thank you in advance.
I tried to go to http://www.cs.pitt.edu/~jmisurda/ppc/FixASRunAt.zip using Opera Desktop and could not get there. I tried another site/link and had the same negative outcome. So, I used IE and it did download. Thank you anyway. Will report back the results.

[HELP] Windows Live Messenger Mobile

I use WLM 10.6.0053.1000 and somehow my emoticon screen going weird like in the screenshot... I reinstalled, redownloaded from live site but seems like the emoticon won't show up for unknown reason.
I tried to check if there is any missing files but all files are OK.
Registry check also OK.
I'm using WM6.1 official v1.77 i-Mate 9502.
Please help me how to restore those emoticons....
Anyone? No one know the solution?
Arghhhh.... No answer and no one can answer.... >,<
Seems like the files are missing. Where did you install it, on the device, flashdisk or storagecard? I'd browse for the files first and see if I could find them.
Btw, I think this post might get moved since it aint really a post that belongs in this forum
Umm, maybe but I don't know what files are required to display that emoticon.
Yesterday I reinstalled the WLM (downloaded from live site http://mobile.microsoft.com/live/en-us/mobile/default.mspx).
For installation, it didn't give any option, it's all automated and installed in the device (precisely in the Windows folder).
But FYI, I checked the installation using SKTools and Pocket Mechanic, the installation is OK..
No files missing and registry are intact. Maybe other files (the system files) are missing? or some registry keys are missing?
Thanks for your help... ^^
I'll be waiting for your info for restoring the emoticon... ^^
Yup, sorry for posting in the wrong subforum. Moderators, please help me to move this thread to correct subforum. Thanks.. ^^

Tried just now but still same... only version in about page is different... T,T
Thanks for helping...
Seems strange... I checked all the system files in Windows folder, none missing/replaced by files with same name...
Maybe the registry?
Waiting...
And here we go... No one knows about this problem...
No answer as well...
Seems that none of developers here able to solve this... Or they don't know anything about this issue...
Up! Anyone here can resolve this? Or ppl here can't even solve small bug like this?
Useless to ask here... =,="'

Please upload here your 10.6.0053.1000 cab. I have a look of it.
I just install the 10.7.xxx available from microsoft's site and still like in the first post. T,T
Do I need to upload the latest WLM from Microsoft's site?
And thanks for your help...
And I think, it might be something from registry's missing (maybe something in HKEY_Classes_Root)....
If I do HardReset, all is solved, but it's pain for me to reinstall all apps and do re-setting all things inside... >,<
Sorry I need the 10.6.0053.1000 cab before I can help you. It`s not on the windows side. Please upload it here. This was the first cab that you install or was in the rom and I must test it. No cab - Sorry no help.
Wait, I must search the cab file first. Because I already overwrite it with new one.
And the old one that came with my ROM is v10.6.0034.0800.
The v10.6.0053.1000 I downloaded it from Microsoft's site also. And I will try to recover that installation file from my harddisk.

albumsearcher.exe error

I've been coming to this website for a while now, and this is my first time starting a thread. I've found myself with this problem. when I go to access my albums I get an error that my phone can't find albumsearcher.exe file. it also won't let me access programs that I've installed on my storage card. is there a cab to fix this problem? if there is a thread that already covered a solution for this particular problem please forward link. thank you.

Apps Installation

Helo everyone. I'm new to the forum and to Windows Mobile. I hope this question is in the correct place....don't want to get bashed on my first post. I have searched for about an hour now for the answer to my question but I can't find anything that relates to my problem. I am trying to install a converter..."Pocket Converter 1.50" on my TMobil USA HTC HD2. After downloading the cab file into a folder...a screen pops up that says "installation of Pocket Converter 1.50 was unsuccessful". OK...I then tryed one called "MSS Converter 1.08. Same thing happened with it too. I have successfully installed other apps so I was wondering what might be the problem.
I have had the same issue a couple of times. I think sometimes the download gets corrupted. I just redownload and usually the app will install.
Thanks for replying......I've downloaded these 2 apps numerous times and on different days but still no luck. Do you think I could download them to my computer then copy them over to the phone and install?
That may be a good idea, other than that maybe try and download from another source. I think also some apps have issues with the hd2.
signman, do you have links to the exact cabs you tried, so I can test them on mine?
What kind of converter program are those? If they're for converting units of measurement, I use the uConvert app which works great on the HD2, and was developed by an xda member...I've attached the cab here for you to try if that's what you're looking for.
i used to have this happen to me all the time when i downloaded the cab directly from my hd2. Try using a pc to download it then transfer via usb and install. Hope it works!

Sorry for taking so long to post back...as I couldn't find my post!
The links to the apps I am trying to download are as follows...
Well since I'm a new user....I can't post the links..I got them from freewarepocketpc.net
I finally got the MSS Converter downloaded and installed from another website. Can't remember where I got it. I'm going to try to get your posted cab directly to my phone and try that one. Well that didn't work. Installation says it was unsuccessful. Maybe I have to do it like jfmckenna has suggested. Thanks for helping me out guys...I really appreciate it.

If all these installs are failing, I'm guessing you're either missing the NetCF 3.5, or the sdkcerts cab, both are attached below. These are necessary to run many of the apps/cabs you'll find here and at other sites like freewarepocketpc.net. Just put the cabs on your SD card (I recommend just putting all the ones you install in a folder there for easy reference later), and run each one, then you'll probably be able to install the stuff that was giving you issues.
cab files
I've downloaded the cab files you posted but the NetCFv35 says I have to first remove the older version. How do I remove the older version? I know nothing about Windows Mobil...sorry.

Right...I forgot that it was already loaded on the stock ROM, you can skip that signman.
m'lord, I would suggest installing the sdkcerts...it will probably be necessary for you at some point if you're installing any homebuilt apps. I suspect that most custom ROM's would have it built in.

Humm...if it is the same version I already have on the phone...wonder why it is telling me to remove the older version first. Where can I look to see what version I have on the phone?

Flash Lite
Sirphunkee. I managed to get your uConvert installed but it is trying to install Flash Lite. That install does not work...I get a "error installing Flash Lite". Is there anything else I can do? I downloaded Flash Lite to my computer and copied it to my phone. Still won't work.
I used a Flash Lite cab file posted on the forum for my fix. Thanks everybody for your help.

Ok good, I'm glad you got it working (I'd forgotten it wants flash light installed to get it to work). Does uConvert cover everything you need then?
