Is this a new camera patch? JAM_Camera_Patch_V1.03.1.0.CAB

Hi gurus... I read in one of the forums that there is a new camera patch for the jam JAM_Camera_Patch_V1.03.1.0.CAB. I didn't see any talk about it here. Is it new?

When was this patch released - and what camera versions would it be relevant for? For example, I have camera version 2.70, build 18177.

it works for me, very good! it updates the cmos control software nothing else, and it does a hell of a job

I have a german ROM. Do you think, that this .CAB would work for me, too? :?:

Just tried it. It does seem to make a difference in color, focusing speed and overall pic quality. White spots pretty much gone.
It also totally borked my today screen. Apparently it doesn't like the windows default theme, so changing to the alternate, "Bliss" theme, took care of that.
Definitely worth doing...

Just installed it and the picture quality in low light/incandescent is still total crap.
Holding my JAM next to my PDA2K there is just no comparison. While the JAM may have a higher resolution the amount of noise in the picture is just ridiculous. Whoever in quality control passed this should be shot.
Also my today screen was totally garbled after installing it. Had to switch to Bliss and then back again to cure it.

My basic question is how do I know if I have an updated ROM or not. I bought my Imate Jam on the 12th of Jan. and my the information I have is Version 2.70 Build 17975.
Any help will be appreciated.

Is there any equivalent patch for the MDA Compact? I've tried installing this one but it doesn't update my build number :-(

This does not change the build number. It's the CMOS control driver update not the camera software upgrade.

on pocketgear there are:
MP3 ringtone patch for XdaIImini(T.Chi) 1.0
MP3 ringtone patch for XdaIImini (Eng) 1.0
Chinese and English, so it seems you need the correct one.
Other question: is possible to uninstall a patch?

Humm we're not talking about the same patch ... The discussion thread is about the camera patch (working for all version: XDA, Qtek, etc. if I'm not wrong).
You're talking about a patch for adding the context menu when you click on a MP3 file and you want to add it as a ringtone. The language is not specific, it is only to define the language of the sentence "set as ringtone".
I translated it to french (not too hard ) and sent it back to the author. You can remove this patch easily (add/remove programs).

its already in CAB file...just transfer the cab file on to your magician and use the builtin file manager to tap and install it...

hoping that ampda would bump into this tread and make a tweak on this new camera app...

Xperia with Touch-HD cab [Change theme?]

I have install the follow things:
- Full Manila TouchFlo from Itje
- Diamond TF3D Config 0.6.7
But i can't open the program TF3D Config on my Xperia X1 (Get an Error, try soft reset..)
What do i wrong, or how can i change a theme for the TouchFlo

try deleting the .xml file that is under the installation folder of the diamon config program. it worked for me.

Try to look in the HTC Blackstone forum in the Themes Sections . you'll find many themes as the HTC Blackstone aka HD and the Xperia have the same Resolution

i dont understand where is the xml file i am going to delete. cause "setup.xml" is the only xml file under the cab ? and it dont work when that is no there

Cab modifed from phonecanvas qvga version[http://mbarvian.freehostia.com/2008...e-applications-cab-and-oem-package-included/]
Usage:
1. Try the [Diamond_PhoneCanvas Patch_Eng.cab] first.
2. If [Diamond_PhoneCanvas Patch_Eng.cab] doesn't work, try extract [Diamond_PhoneCanvas Patch.zip] to /Windows of your devices.
3. If it still doesn't work, try the new [Diamond_PhoneCanvas_full_Eng_without_battery_icon.cab]
Notice:
1. Doesn't work on CDMA ROM.
2. You should enable PhoneSkin.
3. Test on dutty's 3.6b Lite ROM.
ChangeLog:
-Remove 0804 mui files
-Change fonts size of buttons during calls

maybe the problem is that we are using stock ROM's. I've found on some other forums other users experiencing this kind of problem, and all of them are using stock ROM's :S

I am using Dutty's 3.6b Lite.
Haven't test on stock roms.

Well, I found "phcanOverbmp.dll" can't be overwrite during installing.
I am uploading a new cab without this file.

just a recomendation
you can make the porogram rename phcanOverbmp.dll to phcanOverbmp.dll.bak and then place the new phcanOverbmp.dll in the windows folder..after a softreset we can then delete the phcanOverbmp.dll.bak manually

I renamed phcanoverbmp.dll manually, but again can't install. Same error

The new "Diamond_PhoneCanvas Patch.cab" have uploading. Have been tested on dutty's rom 3.6 lite.

I've installed it. Now testing...
EDIT: It's working! Great work!!

Try the new one. My uploading speed tonight is extreamly slow.

i guess it depends what you want to do. If you just want to upgrade your phone, then use the update-software provided by SonyEricsson. If you want to change language from one language to an other, then you need to follow the guides in this post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=665564
I think that the original poster of these cabs is mixing numbers. We have now MR2 available, not MR3!

if you have winrar on your computer cab files are associated to it. well atleast mine was . . .

those are no issue...l dont have any lock to extract cab files from software they provide in other thread..l just download generic uk from thred where is all reay extracted...but my native mr1 was generic en...so that is why l wait to some extract cabs from generic en

Anybody got the Transcriber.cab ? With the latest Mr2 release the handwriting is gone. To get it back, we would need that transcriber cab.
I cannot find it in any of those uploaded cabs. Thanks!

Can't be, because all roms (that i have checked) are identical except those cabfiles that specify the language-version for the device.
If this is a special-rom, then please post here the device-info. If this differs from the list of device-infos i have on track, then i'll create a custom cab that you could use for getting the same look..

if you are on mr2 then the panel would be installed but in not present in your rom ... you can install it without any problem.

no ... it is the same but this version is functioning properly in x2 unlike other versions also in this version the carousel view is disabled

i like carousel view...where can i get the original version (free)...
