Hey
I was flicking thru the start menu; and cant find something now. It was a page of icons; i remember it had a bluetooth app / icon being first; and near the bottom a lock app. Or icon.
Anyone know how to get back to it; i cant seem to find it.

I need help with this.
accidentally I started a screen for managing bluetooth devices on my HTC hd2. It has 3 tabs and has nice icons. In one tab I could set my device to be discoverable and for how long.
I wrote 'accidentally' because I can not find a way to get back to this screen.
I do not know whether the screen is a Mobile 6.5 screen or HTC Sense, but it is / was very usefull.
Does someone know how to access that screen? (it would help me to start and stop discoverable option quickly).
Thanks
There could be a shorter way to it, I'm not sure, but you can get to it from the settings tab on sense - menu (bottom-right 'soft key') - All Settings - Bluetooth
Or you could go to the Comm Manager (second icon from the top on Sense's settings tab) and tap on the BT icon (not the switch).

On mine, that doesn't go to the screen with the three tabs that the op is asking for.

If you look at my original response, you can get to the screen you want.
It's BTManager.exe that you are after.
You will find it in the Windows directory.
It will only work when BT is on and when it's paired with at least one "unit"
According to http://www.google.com/mobile/buzz/ , we should have
buzz.google.com
Buzz Layer on Google Maps for mobile
Buzz on a Place Page
Voice shortcuts
Buzz icon shortcuts
Where are they?
Buzz.google.com is fine, I just got the Maps layer from cyanogenmod 5 stable, I don't know what that Place Page is, voice shortcut is fine since I installed cyanogenmod 5 stable, and I don't know how to get the icon shortcuts.
How are we supposed to get all the features? How about people on stock ROMs?
For the icon shortcut, bookmark the buzz.google page, then go to your home screen, long press > Shortcuts > Bookmark > Select the Buzz bookmark
You'll then get this:

Weird, when I made the Buzz shortcut, I get the default bookmark icon. I wish mine had the cool Buzz icon like yours!
You need to have already gone to that webpage at least once and let the page completely load before making the shortcut.
Heck, I tried making a shortcut to Google.com (my homepage), and it was their blue G icon.
Anyone else not getting emailed Buzz updates? When I started using Buzz a couple days ago, it would e-mail my gmail account when someone would reply to a thread that I started, or one I was posting in. Now nothing. No more emails, I have to go online and check manually with the phone or gmail on my PC. Tried looking for a setting to change it, cant find anything.
lol at my name on top.
Was asking about EQ settings.
If they get it right , as good as they did on PPC. It will be a massive step forward for Android.

Try the ShootMe screen capture app from the Market
I'm wondering why we should manually make the bookmark shortcut while it's automated on iPhone. A message will popup on the iPhone and ask if you want to make a shortcut on the springboard (iPhone desktop).
Hi everyone,
1st thread I startup.. I have the TMOUS HTC HD2.. While messing around with the phone I came upon the following.. It's a hassle to have to go to Settings then click on All Settings to try and get to Remove Programs, Bluetooth, Today Etc..
Here is a neat trick to have the All Settings Icons on your Start Menu.
1. Go to Settings/All Settings
2. Click and hold the Icon you want.
3. Select Move to top.. the icon remains in its original location..
Now go to your Start Menu and the Icon you had clicked on will now appear here!!
I included Images for better illustration on before and after, you can see i moved the Bluetooth Icon over. You can also delete the copied Icon from the Start Menu by simply holding it and selecting Move Down. It will not be deleted from the All Settings screen.
This is not that big of a deal but I figured it might make it easier for others as it does for me..
Check out screen shots..
Is anyone else having an issue with CM7 where the right combination of gestures or touches while cause the menu bar to disappear? I have no idea how to reproduce it, or how to recover from it (short of a reboot) but it's happened at least 4 times i as many weeks.
Just curious if something is corrupt with my install or if it's a common issue.
If the bar is just invisible (the buttons still work, but there are no graphics), just rotate the screen and they should come back.
If you've touched the double-chevron button and the status bar went away, an app has requested fullscreen mode and the chevrons grant the request. Hit "home" to get somewhere that isn't fullscreen. You can pick an "un-hide" button and do other similar things in Settings/Tablet Tweaks, look for "Disable Fullscreen" and "Choose unhide button".
If neither of the above holds, your statusbar has crashed. There's an app that's supposed to bring it back, but that never worked properly for me. I have to reboot.
This hasn't happened to me in recent nightlies, but I'm not positive that the problem is really gone yet.

I've had the menu bar disappear while certain apps were open, preventing me from accessing the app menu and had to use the 'n' button to get out. To get around this I am using Button Savior.

That's my situation. The status bar / buttons disappear, so I hit the physical home button (the N as in Nook button), but the bar is still gone. This was happening on 7.0.3... i just installed 7.1 RC1 and haven't had it happen yet... we'll see.

Go to Settings/CyanogenMod settings/Tablet Tweaks, and check to see that you have the "Disable fullscreen" option checked. That prevents apps from overriding the status bar visibility. Additionally, you can setup an "unhide" button in case you accidentally hit the chevron or otherwise lose the Tablet Tweaks status bar.

Because you say "menu bar" and later on say you press the N button and they are still missing I believe you are talking about the ADW menu buttons (the launcher and apps buttons). If that is what you are referrinng to then you should go into ADW settings and uncheck the hidden taskbar option. By default it is checked.
can reproduce it on my EVO
I found out how to make the menu disappear, but cannot make it reappear.
I have an EVO 4G (original supersonic) and I am able to make the bottom home menu disappear using a downward swipe. I've done this accidentally quite a few times. (I'm referring to the Phone/Square/World Icons that launch the primary apps)
However, I do not know how to make it come back. I have been able to swipe randomly and get it to reappear, but I do not know what combination actually causes this.
The only way I know how to bring it back for sure, is a reboot. I wish I knew what that swipe combination was to restore the menu

By "Menu Bar", do you mean the the Dock where you can access the App Drawer?
If this is it, then you just have to swipe it up. But to just to warn you, it is "VERY HARD" to get the right swipe for it to show again. Trust me, I tried. Best solution would be to disable the "HIDE" Capability of the Dockbar by going into Settings>ADWLauncher>UI Settings Go down to Hidden Dockbar and disable Dockbar.

Is it possible to remove the recommended earphone shortcuts that appear in the drop down notification when headphone are connected?

I would like to know the same thing. On my S2 (JB4.1) there is a menu option to disable this (System / Accessory / Audio Applications). They seem to have removed this option on the S4 - it's not on the Accessory options screen...
Could someone explain to me what the "recommended shortcuts (earphones)" actually is and where can I configure it? I like the idea, yet I'd like to configure it.
But I can't seem to find a setting or app. Is it really connected to a "Page buddy" app? I have no such app on my SGS4.

when you plug in earphones to ur galaxy u get a set of recommanded apps to run in the status bar i have it on my galaxy s2 but on my s3 can't find it
OK, I've worked out how to disable this.
The notification comes from com.android.pagebuddynotisvc, which is called PageBuddyNotiSvc in the application manager ('All' tab). You can disable this service, and the notification + shortcut icons in the dropdown menu will now not appear.
Thanks pennas, I also noticed the "PageBuddy" app meanwhile, should've looked more carefully in the first place.
It's not that annoying to me, but I just still don't understand what the benefit is, when I can't configure it. Because the apps showing also seem to change. Meh.

Its not a bug, it just shows your most frequently used apps.
