I am interested in the following,
lock screen of the Nexus One (On top of sense UI, and No i dont want to change the ROM or disable sense and get Launcher2, i just want the lock screen of N1 as an apk, thats it). I have searched but no dice.
So, can someone point me to Nexus One Android 2.1 source code? since Android is "open source" i might be able to extract what i need and make it an apk?

got what i need, "lockbot" app you get to choose multiple locks, including nexus, eris, iPhone and Hero's.
and found the SDK and the platform code,

Hello people. I have tried phone pad (the htc touch design) day for two weeks now, and I have an idea to optimize it to be more user friendly, so I will be glad if someone can give me a link to the source code so I can begin to work on it. Its ok with a old version, better than start from the scracth .

The Phone Pad app is developed by HTC. As a proprietary app, source code is not available. The customized phone pads that are circulating around the forums were made by using a PE resource editor such as Resource Hacker to change the .bmp images of the phone pad. This way one can modify the look of the application without having access to source. Making any real changes to the internals of the application would be considerably harder and likely impossible.

This was posted in Q&A, but can any developer help me in enabling this feature on my phone.
I decompiled Rosie.apk and went into the Android Manifest to set it to screenorientation= no sensor, but it didn't work.

I honestly don't think it's possible. I've asked this same question before, and was given this same answer... I don't think it was implemented until sense 2.0.
I have looked also and the resources are there for landscape Rosie. Leeds me to think this is simply disabled, but I'm not the best at reading smali. I would try setting it to landscape to see if that even works. But do keep in mind that even if the xml file is set to landscape the smali code could still be enforcing portrait. So you may have to look for code that is setting this.
Also I have had luck merging smali code from different versions of HTC apps. Perhaps you can take the parts that are missing from 1.0 to make this work out of a 2.0 Rosie.apk.

Hi all! Like I've said it in the title, I'm a total noob on wp7 area! So I have a few questions for you! I've recently bought an OPTIMUS 7, found a gps app after a big research (nokia drive) but I can't find any way to port a java app to my device, since the manufacturer didn't put java on Optimus ROM. My question is: is there any way to port .jar apps to this device?

hi, and congrats on your new phone. as i can see, if you are able to load nokia drive, you have already unlocked your phone! unfortunately, as far as i know, there is no way for the moment to run .jar app on wp7. you could try to check the wp7 development forum to see if there are any project working on the specific app you are looking for.

thanx for your answer and for congrats. I do hope that wp7 develops more and that we can have acces on system folders like symbian platform. I totally love this phone and it's my dream to make with it things that symbian allows his users to do.

you know, there a hack or an app here, on XDA to create folders, not officially but ofc it does the work. A quick search will help you.
I know, thx for the tip. Already used it, unlocked my device by reg modification, used (a lot) Tom Installer, I'm waiting for touch experience to be released and try it, or another coocked rom witch will give me full acces to my phone. I'm looking also for a taskman wich can give me the oportunity to close running apps, not just see them and after that use the BACK Arrow until i'm back on home screen. Maybe microsoft will give us the chance to use our phones not just download what they want and and in rest to stare at it.
I need help to make an Android application. The application i want to develop is like a vault. The vault should be able to store files such as text documents,images and videos. The files present in the vault should be encrypted in the sd card. Basically they must be secure.
Also i'd like the app to have a 3 level of security to open the application. For example the first level of security could be a 4 digit code,followed by a pattern,and then followed by a question.
Can anyone point me to a similar app with an open source code? Or if possible for anyone,can anyone take this up as a challenge and develop this project for me. I want to develop this application for my mini project. I have no intention to put this in the play store or gain any profit from this application.
Can anyone please please help me?I'm desperate....

I haven't coded an app from scratch, but i know how to modify the source code of the app. So if possible, if there exists an app with similar features and is open source, could you point me towards such an app?
If not, then maybe if possible, people on xda developers could code it for me?

I do understand that you need it for your project. But to be frank I dont think anyone would code that for you people here can only guide you in right direction.
Rest its a whole project in itself, if anyone would code he/she would put it in Play Store itself.

It is a forum. What you are asking for though isn't java help, its smali help so you're asking in the wrong forum. I would recommend doing some serious research into the decompilation process of apks. Additionally to me this looks like you are trying to make a spam version of a normal app (won't ever work btw because of the apk signing process) so its not really any wonder why no one has offered any help.

I dont want to make a spam version its for private use
I saw modded apks which have toast frame messages and even a splash screen so I tought it would be possible to add a video too

It is, its just a lot of work and I doubt anyone in this forum would be bothered enough to do it in smali, besides the developers that actually know smali properly enough to do this are very few and far between.

And btw maybe its possible to just make a splash screen but use an animated gif that would be awsome
