Oddly, I can't seem to find anything searching all over the place. I have it set to 50 tweets, but it seems to have ALL the ones downloaded since I got the phone.
Is there a setting I'm missing to kill the older ones? Anyone have a link to a discussion that I'm missing in my searches?
There is a thread, and mentioned elsewhere.
You have to do some deleting manually.

Thanks for the link - will have to see why it wasn't matching my search terms later.

Does anyone know how to refresh the thumbnail images used for favourite shortcuts on the internet tab?
I added one that took me to a login page, and I'd rather it showed the page I actually get now that I've logged in and got a cookie for auto-login. A bit pedantic, yeah, but I want it refreshed.
I've already tried 2 things, but neither of them works.
I located and deleted the thumbnail image (\Windows\Thumbnail), and now can't get it to create a new one.
I've removed the shortcut, and added it again as a new one, but it still remains "empty".
Any ideas anyone?
I'll answer my own question, in case anyone else ever wants to do this!
I think removing the shortcut and then adding it again may do the trick, but my deleting the thumbnail may have caused an additional problem, so that wouldn't work any more.
What I did to resolve the issue was to edit the favourite. It was a URL with a querystring on the end (it was www.blahblah.com?something=stuff&this=that etc..) I just added &bllx=1 (bollocks = 1 ) and it now sees it as a new URL.
If you're not particularly techie, that might sound like gibberish to you, so if anyone ever comes across this thread and wants advice, send me a private message, as I'll probably miss it if you ask on here.
Is it possible to have more than a single instance of one application?
I want to have two audiogalaxy applications on my phone, one hooked to my account, one to my fathers.
I imagine it would have to include some apk editing, which I have tried to no avail.
Also, a random but slightly related question, where are the apk files used by the phone stored? /sys/ ?
Realized this us the wrong forum, just wasn't sure, since there isn't a Q/A section.
REQUEST: MOVE TO GENERAL
amazinglarry had posted a few items up here, and allegedly had them taken down and all mod comments point to finding the stuff on "HIS OWN WEBSITE" only problem is his profile doesnt have a website listed, and a google search doesn't work either...
and surprisingly... the mods lock up anything referencing him quickly... hopefully i can get an answer before an overzealous mod locks this up as well.
Yes I have read the stickied thread, but it isnt being maintained and i believe the list to be mainly applications. Services also run, so could people let me know which ones they have safely removed or blocked? And i will test and confirm the result, for my own reference and for others if they read.
Thanks guys

It still is up to date, 2.3.3 only added some more facebook stuff you can remove. Feel free to post it in THAT topic as that's what it's there for.
Services are mainly comming from apps to...
oh god another thread without even using the stickied one.. you can reply there
oh god
Just seems sensible for somebody to maintain it, im used to sticked threads being updated not with posts here there and everywhere but litrelly update/edits. So services are listed in that thread to? Looked like just apps to me
Apk files contain apps, widgets and services. That's why it makes sense to define safely removable APKs which, if erased, will be gone with their related apps, widgets and services.
It wasn't broke, so it looks like B&N fixed it.
Does anyone know the whereabouts of the manual downloads for various models? There used to be a page that would lead to each device and then the option to download the update zip. I can't find anything like that any longer. Just a lot of blah-blah about how everything will happen automatically.
I suspect an old link might still work for an individual file but that leaves a lot of room for guessing if you're looking for something else.
Edit: finally tracked them down: https://help.barnesandnoble.com/app...ing-trouble-connecting-to-your-nook?#ManualDL
For things more modern than the NST, i.e. various Glows, there are the "manifest" links that tell you what to download.
