Battery won't charge when low battery alert - Touch Diamond2, Pure General

I've search through all battery faults in the forum but haven't found a fault similar to mine.
My Diamond2 charges fine, battery lasts ok 2-3 days with normal usage. But when the low battery alert signals, I put it on charge on either mains charger or car charger and it won't charge. I can turn the phone off and it will charge fine up to 100%. I can even turn it back on once it's above 20% and it will charge fine.
It's been the same for os's 6.1, 6.5 and the energy rom i have at the moment.
I am going to flatten the battery, turn the unit off, take the battery out for 30 secs and then charge it fully while powered off. Just to see what happens.
Any Help/Advice would be gratefully received Ju

Maybe you got a bad battery. If its still under warranty, replace it.

Atom battery won't charge anymore - HELP

Hi. One morning I switched my atom on and got the notice that I need to charge my battery and a second later the screen went black. I figured the battery charge was really low. Now I cannot charge the battery at all. The red charging light stays on for 20 seconds then dies. I can't switch my ATOM on. Tech Support suggested charging the Atom w/o the battery first for an hour then charging it w/ battery inserted after that. I tried this but still no go. I charged the Atom w/o the battery for 10 hours then inserted the batter but it still won't charge after that. I CAN SWITCH ON w/o the battery but with AC power. It shows Main Battery charge 100% as soon as I unhook the AC adapter, the phone dies. I even tried inserting the battery while the AC is plugged in. The phone stays on but as soon as I take the charger out (after I leave it for 10 hours hoping to charge the battery), I get the Warning that my battery is exhausted and the phone goes dead 10 sec. later. Anyone know a solution? I've ordered a new battery just in case.
Sounds like the battery is dead actually. I think that new battery you ordered will do the trick. The phone itself looks undamaged because it operates fine plugged in to the adapter without the battery, right?
New Battery worked
Thanks for reply Mochan
The new battery did work. I was just worried that the internal battery was damaged. Didn't want to have to send the device back to HK where I bought it.
BTW I bought new battery at good price here: http://tinyurl.com/22eeca hope it lasts longer than the original.
Cheers

HTC Magic (Sapphire) battery charging issues

OK, first I admit, the battery is a POS. I usually have enough battery life to make it through a full day, but usually it will die in the evening before I go to bed and put it on charge.
Recently I got a message, "Charging current is not enough for device power consumption. Please connect your AC adapter." Strange thing, though, it WAS connected to my AC charger. I get the same message with both of my chargers.
Battery will not charge, but has just enough power to keep the phone running as long as there is charge already in the battery. So the battery is almost dead, I put it on the charger all night long, get up in the morning and take it off, and then it beeps extra low battery! and then dies shortly after.
The only way I can get it to work is to leave the phone powered off for a long period of time and charge it then. Doesn't always work though. works if I take out the battery and charge it all by itself on a USB phone battery charger.
Sounds like the problem is somewhere in the phone, not with the chargers. Why would both of them do the same thing?
Please help.
does it do the same thing when plugged in and charging via USB??
could be a bad battery...
from old phones i had previous to my magic it sometimes helped to clean the contacts on the battery and charging pins on the phone..
I'll check that...
BTW, if I am plugged into an AC adapter, is it supposed to stay on even if I remove the battery?
NOPE! same message. Been charging all day now and only shows just over half charge on the battery. Most of this is from the hour or so that I had the battery out and charging on its own.

g1 battery not charging

my phone battery was inflated, so I had to buy another, the phone was working fine with the new battery for a few days until it stopped charging the battery, my phone will not charge the battery when it is on, I have to turn it off to charge the battery, when I put the old battery it charges properly, turned on and off.
know any solution?
Sounds like a battery problem. You'll need to exchange it.

6P turning off just under 25% of battery

Hi everyone!
My Nexus had a great battery Life at the beginning..after 6 months,it started to last less,so i bought a smartwatch to help the battery last longer; but the things didn't get better. The phone overheat when using maps or play some games just for 10 minutes;when i unplug the charger at 11.30 am in the morning,it goes to a 50 or 40% around 4 o' clock pm in the afternoon just after sending some WhatsApp messages, and after have played 15 minutes..the battery drains really really fast..but worst of all, when the battery reach the 25%,suddendly the phone turns off, telling that the battery have reached 1% and is empty. If i turn on the phone again, the battery percentage indicator is still set to 1%..what's the problem with it?i have a faulty battery?Need to call the Google assistance?
The phone is stock, not rooted or anithing else.
Thanks a lot!
I have had the same issue.
Occurs sometimes when I'm on 10%, I power it back on and it says 1%.
The problem is if you charge using QuickCharger all the time, especially overnight, it can degrade your battery but in a way that it doesn't fully charge.
Try using a normal USBC cable you got and PC to charge it for a few days...don't leave it charging more than 3 hours.
See if it'll get better after a week.
I Always use the supplied charger from Google..sometimes a car adapter with a usb c- usb c- cable...how is it possible that the stock Wall adapter mess up the battery??

Battery drain while charging?! HELP

So, I'm using the OEM charger that came with the phone. For the past 2 months the phone wasn't charging properly. It says it's rapidly charging, but the estimated time left was showing anything between 3 and 6 hours. In reality the phone charged to a 100% in about 3 hours. At first I thought my power outlet was the problem because it didn't behave this way every time. For that past 2 weeks it always charges slowly and sometimes even drains my battery. Last night I plugged it in and the phone had 40% battery, when I woke up the notification light was blinking red and the phone was off.
I think my charger is the culprit because the battery life is fine. Should I buy a new charger and if yes, what charger do I get because I can't find an original one anywhere ?
Thanks in advance.
