Going Back to Stock - HD2 General

Alright guys, I have tried every ROM that's available for the T-Mobile HD2, and I still prefer the stock ROM. I have seen a list of every ROM available for HD2, but I did not see a ROM to go back to stock. Anyone got any ideas?

gO THERE...

Someone should sticky that thread in the Tmousa forum... we've had numerous new threads started asking that same question... and this forum hasn't even been around a week.

that thread does not have the shipped rom

this is the ROM I use to flash back to before Flashing to a newer ROM.

Do you have a direct link or the file?
I went to your link, which leads back to XDA, but the link in the thread was dead.

It will not allow me to upload the actual file. I guess I did not realize that the links have became dead. I do have the file and it reads
RUU_Leo_1_5_TMOUS_2.10.531.0_Radio_Signed_15.34.50.07U_2.08.50.08_2_Ship
If that is the exact version you are looking for I can try to get it to you, however I am for some reason unable to upload it as an attachment.

probably the reason why google haven't made that version offical.
if you search on the development section, there are posts there which guides you on how to go back

Go back to what???? It would nice to know what I'm trying to go back to, when I'm searching for ......Ahhh... ok, found it 'ERD79' is the original shipping ROM. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=619801 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=619801
I believe the 'B' stands for beta - and it's highly possible that that version has some serious extra debugging traces or whatnot.
I'd wait for the official release...

Restore original ROM?

I still have the original Android that came with my Sprint Hero. Is it possible to got back to the original ROM after flashing other versions onto the device? Sorry for the newbie question but didn't see it asked and answered anywhere spelled out.

I would recommend reading everything in this thread. yes you can revert back to stock after flashing new ROMs. I highly recommend doing research before you start...that means searching. All the answers you will need are contained within existing threads.
Yes, you can restore the original ROM. In the guides to root it tell you to make a nandroid backup. That'll let you restore the original ROM.

Thanks to all and that is exactly what I was looking for. I have done some mods with a Tilt in the past but nothing with my Hero. Now to choose a ROM that still lets the Sprint Navigation work - don't care about most of the other apps that came with it.

[Q] droid eris stock 2.1

where can i find the stock 2.1. i want the regular original version issued to all users.
Well, a few pages back in this forum is "Flashback v21." That will unroot your phone, and put the original ROM and recovery image on it, as well as pretty much erasing all your junk (which you should be doing anyway if you wanna go back to stock). Last I checked, the downloads didn't work though. I managed to get it from ONE of the download sites from multiupload. You just have to keep trying until you find one that works.
In case you have no luck, here is another link that should work for FlashBack21_v1.zip:
FlashBack21_v1.zip
also, if it helps at all... i have quite a few "stock" ROMs out there
click the "Got Stock?" link in my sig to see!
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=792026
I just tried the Megaupload link from the original post and it worked just fine
Each of those upload sites have different policies relating to when a posted file "expires", so if one of the links doesn't work, try a different one. (By retrieving files using those links, you will be helping other XDA users - downloading from the original links will reset the "last accessed" timestamp and prolong the availability of those files from the original download links).
Please be sure to read the instructions.

Sorry, Have A few questions

Well quick background information. I acquired my first samsung continuum 3 weeks ago, bricked it, and had to return it and get another one.
So while i waited for my new phone to arrive in the mail i was reading thread after thread and tutorials and guides to the Android OS, Samsung Continumm, Kernels, ROMS, etc.
Once my phone arrived i had a whole bunch of knowledge about it and successfully Rooted it using SuperOneClick, Flashed CWM into it, and flashed the PeanutButterJelly kernel. Yes Without messing it up again.
Well here are my questions:
1) Where can i find the official adrynalyne's rom for the continuum(yes i used the search button but didnt have much luck.
2) Is there a continuum radio file posted somewhere in the forum? people were talking about it in the forum but nobody can tell me where it is.
3) Could I constantly keep flashing kernels and roms or is there a limit to how many times i can do that?
4) If there happens to be an update from verizon, will rooting, replacing kernels and roms, take away the ability to download it.
Sorry again for the random questions, and if you tell me to use the "Search" option can you at least let me know exactly what to type in so i can find the right answer. Thanks You.
And one more thing, What is your phone set up, as in:Kernel,Rom,any mods, battery saving apps, root-only apps.

more questions...
1. The ROM is located under the android development section of our forum.
Here's a link to the ROM though: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=943402
2. There is no radio file. There has been talk of it because we found out that the Fascinate radio files work with the continuum. We don't have our own though :'(
3. There is no limit besides the amount of ROMs and kernels you want to try.
4. Custom ROMs always in my experience disable the OTA updates that Verizon puts out. All you have to do though is revert back to stock and download the update if you truly want it.
Flashing ROMs and kernals will prevent you from being able to download any Verizon updates.
