So I installed LVH(Louder Volume Hack) yesterday. I only selected the V2r2 option originally and everything was fine. This morning I made a phone call without any issues. Well I wanted to try the IC option to try and increase the in call volume. I selected IC2 but didnt take any calls or make any. Now just a couple min ago, I picked up my phone to make a call, there is no sound coming out of my earpiece. I went back into LVH and selected "stock" to get the stock settings back, still no sound. Im hoping someone can tell me what to do to fix this. Im worried it is screwed up.
EDIT: Now it is working out of the blue!! Wth. Had me freaked.

ok so yesterday and today it did this..
ill be having a txt convo with a friend, and think it ends. its because the phone goes into mute,
as in no sound and no vibrate, i of course check the slide which reads at full on both, checked in the events/calender and there is nothing listed.
the only way to get sounds back from the speaker are a restart, phone will work just doesnt ring, but i can hear the person talk on the other end, wmp doesnt play sounds out the speaker either...
this is 2 times in 2 days, around the same time also.
any ideas what it is guys..
im running stock, with no overclock..
bump................
yea same thing happens to me i need to know how to fix
Hi guys, I was hoping maybe someone can help me out and diagnose my problem. For the first part of the day, my phone worked normally. I could make/receive calls without any problem. All of a sudden in the late afternoon, I got a call from the 'missus' and she could not hear me at all. I thought it was just the phone possibly acting up so I rebooted and then called her back. She picked up but could not hear anything from my end. This went back and forth a few times until I reached for the home phone to call her back. After our conversation I tested the voice record and unless I talk very very LOUD and directly with my mouth/lips on the mic, the phone will pick up NOTHING. Even if I'm just a few inches away, it will not pick up my voice whatsoever. Is there some sort of setting that allows you to adjust mic sensitivity? I'm on the latest official Sprint ROM and was wondering if reflashing might do the trick? From my understanding of microphones, they either work or don't work right? I mean it IS picking up my voice, I just have to yell to high hell for it to do so. And even then the playback will not be nearly as loud as the volume I was yelling at (yes my speakers work correctly). Thanks in advance!

I've done a search already and not found anything that would help. If I've missed something, please do point me in the direction of the right thread.
I've had my Touch HD for about a week. I went away for the weekend, and left the phone at home, fearing it would be broken. Whilst I was away the Mrs has been using the phone to make calls, take video and stuff. She swears blind she's not changed anything, but when I looked, the Bluetooth had been enabled so I know she's been fiddling about with it.
I don't get any audio from the speakers at all now. The phone doesn't ring, there's no sound from the music player or any other applications. When I click the play icon to test ringtones and suchlike, I get no noise. I do get sound when I connect the headphones, and I'm able to hold a conversation on the phone so the ear-speaker seems fine. I've checked all the audio and sound properties and settings I can find, both in the standard applications, and within HD Tweak.
If I take a call, and switch to speaker halfway through: no noise. Switch back and the noise is fine through the ear-speaker. It may just be that the main speaker is broken, but I'd like to eliminate all possibilities before trying to return the phone.
I'm at my wit's end. Please help!
I had the same problem. I think the file HTCStartUp.exe is the reason. If it doesn't load on startup the speakers won't work. A shortcut to this file has to be in windows\startup
Why on Earth would HTCStartup.exe suddenly stop loading on startup? I've restarted the phone several times. I checked the windows\startup folder and there's no reference to HTCStartup.exe at all, but then again, I can't find the HTCStartup.exe anywhere on my device anyway. Where is this file located?
Well that settles it - I did a hard-reset of the phone and it still doesn't work, so it surely can't be software. I'll have to sort out a replacement tomorrow.
I couldn't get hold of mobile.co.uk return department - spent 40 minutes on hold. HTC offered me a free repair though. Sent the phone on Wednesday, and got it back today (Monday) so not bad at all! Unfortunately, they don't seem to have screwed the phone back together right because there's now something obstructing the stylus going in and out, so it's really stiff. I'll see if I can live with it...
try soft reset
So I've been using custom ROMs for this phone since a week after I got it and have never had any problems with my main calling speaker until this morning. I woke up when I got a call from work and when I answered I heard nothing. I figured since I have terrible reception where I live all the time that I just needed to give the phone a second to find a network signal, but I actually had 3 signal bars. So I called back and same thing happened, the call connected, but I couldn't hear anything. At one point I hit my speaker phone button on accident and I could hear my boss asking me to come in early. So later I checked my voicemail so the notification would go away and I couldn't hear anything until I switched it to speaker phone.
tl;dr version: this morning my main phone speaker stopped working and I can't figure out why. Wondering if anyone cab suggest a fix or if they've had it happen to them. I've been on Joker's 0.7.0.0 special for about a week now and haven't had problems til this morning. Any help or info is greatly appreciated.
My in call volume is super low. It just happened suddenly. Yesterday I was talking with dozens of people without a problem.
Today, I can't hear anything above a whisper. I have changed every volume setting I can find and used various apps to increase volumes. None of them helped. I decided that maybe it has something to do with CyanogenMod, so I flashed back to stock. I even deleted all settings and set phone back to factory settings and this problem persists no mater what I do.
I'm thinking my phone is broke.
Any ideas I can try. I love my N4, but I can't make calls unless I use Bluetooth now.

Try the latest trinity kernel with mizleds audio mod. Night and day difference in sound. If that doesnt work then maybe getting a replacement would be in order.
