I just got an att pure and when i set the alarm it does not work. it works if the phone display is on but not when the screen is off. Any one have this problem. Also is there anyway to activate the screen other than the power button? I do not want to destroy my power button.
Hi,
if you are looking for a real alarm clock, I suggest to consider third party software such as Klaxxon Alarm or GAlarm. Actually looks to me that WM "alarms" are only reminders..can't wake up in the morning with it
About power button: Don't worry to use it, it's its job..but if you really want to save its life, here's a .cab to switch your device on with any button you like :http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=555821
maybe it's "wake up SMS" issue.
(That Device wakes up at incoming email)
I have that activated and alarm would work as alarm clock (if I would use it)
I'm using cradle alarm since mp3 is not supported wicht win alarm

Hi people,
For example, when I click the screen to shut it off, it only comes backs with a reminder ring but not the normal alarm ring to wake me up. I have slept in a few times because the snooze function does not work normally.
I want a program or info on how to get it where I can touch the screen and have it automatically alarm 10 minutes later without having to go in the menu and have a specific snooze time.
Thanks guys,
JW

Try AlarmX from MTUX.com. This has a nice interface and a snooze feature. Also the alarm sounds it has are very loud.
alarm/notification problem solution
This is caused by the sddaemon process that causes the notification queue to duplicate itself everytime the phone is turned off and back on. The program smartskey addresses this problem by going to the ini file in it you can enable sddaemon to 1 that fixes this problem, then use a program like notification clear to clear out the old duplicates.
I would like to use "silence" mode at night, but still have my alarmclock enabled, how would one do this?
If i put the tytn to silent it also silence the alarm, and if I have some sounds I will get the phone signal at night which I don't want to.
This functionallity exists on EVERY other "normal" phone (nokia, ericsson and so on) but not here? why?
I use pocketx photo contacts program, you can set incoming alerts using the call filter feature to silent, but keeps the system volume on.
Try using Pocket Wakeup. It has a volumn control function which, if you set your phone to silent, it will over write it to make it loud. I'm not sure about vibrate, but I'm pretty sure if you were to set the volumn to minimum, the pocket wakeup can push it to whatever you set.
I use a freeware program called Mortplayer which is primarily an audio player but has a great alarm clock function built in too.
You can set the alarm to either play a playlist or a particular file, you can set increasing alarm and you can set the volume to override the system volume too so it doesn't matter if your phone is on silent (although it will leave the volume high after the alarm has increased it). It has a snooze function (set at any interval you want, 5mins, 10mins etc...) too with a very usable skin for switching the alarm off or on to snooze (ie. large screen buttons which you can tap with your fingers in a semi-conscious state)
Really great little program which I have been using for months with no problem and best of all, it is free
Great!! That seems to do it !

One potential way to do this is:
Change just the right slider on volume to lowest at night. keep the other one on high.
Then go to sounds and notifications and disable text and email notification sounds.
Try using Call Filter Alarm. I think you will love the sleep mode...
If i snooze the alarm, how do i turn it off earlier then its scheduled? i.e. alarm set for 7.30, snooze for 10 mins, lay there for 5 then get up, but want to turn alarm off so it doesnt wake baby while in shower etc.
Is there a way?
while on it, can it be set to get louder (like a conventional phone alarm)
I am using the HTC calender, havent looked at any other 3rd party calender.
Cheers
Hi,
I found the standard alarm a bit useless. I've downloaded G-Alarm from geye, which has loads lots more options (volume, snooze options, mutli alarms, play music tracks instead of standard tones, etc), and you can turn it off easily, including using the g-sensor if you want.
You can find it here - http://www.ageye.de/

I am currently using HTC's default alarm app, but I'm finding the alarm tone won't repeat and it will only ring out once, for say 3-4 seconds, and none of the tones seem to be any longer.
This is an issue for a heavy sleeper like me as I can often sleep though this and I'm partial to the odd snooze so there might 3 or 4 chances for me to do this! .
Anyone found a way to keep the alarm ringing out (repeating) till I turn it off. I'm using Dutty's ROM so I I'm not sure whether this is just a quirk of his ROM or just a crap alarm from HTC.
Help or reccomendations of good alarm apps welcome!
its not the rom, its the crappy alarm from windows mobile.. really useless imo.
i use the app G-Alarm that works great
(link)
the main thing i have found since using 6.5.x build roms is that the repeat problem no longer occurs. It repeats until you stop it.
One suggestion i can offer is to forget about setting up the alarms through the htc alarms tab, do them direct into settings - menu - all settings - clocks and alarms.
you will find 1 - there are more alarm sounds available, (which tells me the HTC alarms tab isn't working exactly the same as the system one)
and
2 - the HTC alarms tab will copy what you put in the system alarms screen, BUT setting directly into the HTC alarms doesnt always copy through to the system alarms tab.
I also use G-alarm, its great. But here is a free one thats looks like G-alarm

I have "Alarm-Light" selected as my alarm tone, and the thing doesn't shut up until I've stopped it.
Hello,
no dismiss button when repeat is on
as you might know the stock alarm clock has a function to repeat the alarm a few times, it will show a red button/slider to dismiss the alarm completely and a green one to have it ring again after some time.
My problem is that i have a hard time waking up and often half-asleep activate the red one when i would want it to ring again.
So here is my questions: Are there any mods out there that disable/obscure the red button, when repeat is on (aka there is a green button too)? Or do you know any other alarm app that would work similarly? (i really like some feature of the stock one though, like intelligent alarm, different alarms per day and SVoice integration, thats why i am asking here first)
I am using I9505 (International LTE)
