lol guess you were too greedy - always wanted the lastest build. may be try to uninstall the opera you added, to see if the old opera comes back.
Here it is:http://rapidshare.com/files/169383738/OperaHD.zip
1000 Thanks
Thank you life saver

nope! still did not work.maybe i'm doing something wrong.if i select the operaL.exe it opens but from the internet tab through touch flow when i click browse nothing happens.maybe its not finding the file! i'm not sure.hummmm
thanks for your response!
still not getting my opera to lunch.I downloaded the original opera files from here.placed them in the opera9 folder located in device/window etc.it would lunch from there but not the browser tab in touch flow.its driving me nuts!!! and I hate using internet explorer!lol ;o
suggestions?
cheers.
if operaL launches but tf3d doesn't, the problem is tf3d, not opera. install manila patcher (find it searching for SSMaPa). Init it: you don't need to patch anything, but you can see if something else has been connected with the globe in internet tab. If so, you can always re-enable opera via SSMaPa.(btw: i too did install last month the new build and then went back to the original, but had no such problems)
Can anyone tell me what version of Opera is this?
Thanks,

[HOW-TO] Use Telstra-branded Opera Mobile on Touch HD on Another Network

Hello peoples, just thought I'd post up a quick how-to for those who own a branded Touch HD that routes the Opera Mobile traffic through a telco's proxy server. I'm using a Telstra branded HD here in Australia on the Three network, and Opera needed a few tweaks to use it with Three.
The proxy has to be removed from the Opera Mobile settings file, and since I couldn't find a way to change it in Opera (either through Settings or opera:config) I had to alter it in the config file itself.
I found it easiest to copy the file to my computer, make the change, then put it back.
1. Copy the file \Windows\Opera9\opera.ini to your computer (either via Activesync or BT)
2. Open the file and scroll to the lines headed by "[Proxy]"
3. Delete the address after the equals sign for both "HTTP Server" and "HTTPS Server".
4. Save
5. Replace the original opera.ini file on your device.
That should be all you need to do, and surfing will work perfectly!
Just out of curiosity how did you get a Telstra branded HD I thought they weren't out until the 10th of Feb...
If they are, where are they so I can get one

Just lucky
Mods could this thread be added to the how-tos for the Blackstone, since I'm sure they will be people who don't want to change roms but do want to use their HD's on other networks here in Aus.
Thanks Muchly!
Yo! Many thanks for the tip! Now I just gotta work out how to either get rid of the tonnes of other crap that they load onto the beautiful blackstone, or somehow make Foxtel work on Vodafone HSDPA! ...Kudos!
I had the same thing, I was trying to run the Telstra branded HD on vodafone.....don't even bother, it is a waste of time.
Just go and download USPL and Dutty's ROM v1.7 and flash the ROM.
It is easy, all up it took about 10 minutes to flash, as soon as you stick in the Voda SIM it sets up the network etc for you, all those crap Telstra tabs are gone (most don't work anyway) the standard Weather tab is there now as well.
With USPL, you can return the phone to stock in a couple of easy steps and the Telstra branded ROM is available to download from the Oz HTC website, should you need to return the phone for whatever reason
Well the phone being literally 2 days old, I didn't want to flash it (yet ).. I bricked my Trinity once (as in, killed the bootloader) and it wasn't much fun. I just want the weather and stocks tab in M2D on my T-Blackstone and I'll be happy!.....for now ... P.S. Diamond TF3D Config doesn't seem to work
I was the same, never even flashed one before and the phone was a day old.
With USPL and Dutty's ROMv1.7 it was easy
Phone is better than ever now.
Here it is 2 days old, no trace of Telstra (apart from the logo on the battery cover) has weather tab as well now, all Telstra Tabs and shortcuts are gone (didn't work anyway)
Sorry I had to black out the names, sort of ruined it
Nevermind..thanks tho..
Just wanna know how to flash it..

Do you have that original opera.ini file? I updated my Touch HD rom to Dutty 1.9 Extreme but now I can't reach any of the Telstra Wap stuff!
Hi Guys,
Hope this is the right place, the post may also help some others.
Accessing content on telstra (probably the same on other carriers in Aus) I believe the pages check the settings of the user access profile? (happy to be corrected!) If it is not a known device value a lot of content crapps out and says "you need a compatible phone"
These settings are in registry setting: \HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Security\Internet Explorer\User Agent\CustomBase
Can I please get people with an unflashed device to post their registry entry here for reference... Im after the Tel$tra one myself.
Cheers
Al
I have the telstra one - reimaged with T$'s evil bloated rom...
Touch_HD_T8285 Mozilla/4.0
Hope it comes in useful to others...
I created a cab file to fix the opera issue
hey guys guess what I created a cab file for INI file for the Telstra Branded Rom Opera on the touch HD.
This fixes the Opera proxy issue..
Hope this helps...
Telstra Touch HD Opera Proxy fix
Hi all,
neither has worked 100% for me.
I ran a quick check and installed Opera 9.7b on my phone after flashing with a stock Tel$uck rom.
None of the telstra content would work on 9.7 but all was fine on V9.5 B-15086 ... So it must be checking the reg key I mentioned earlier as well as the browser version?
Is anyone familiar enough to offer a suggestion where we can change this on opera 97 (and other builds) to get this working?
Cheers
Al
The link for the cab file doesn't seem to be working anymore. I re-uploaded it, though.
Fixed Telstra Touch HD Opera

(REQ) Extract HTC Peep as a CAB?

Hello people,
As we all know, hd2 or Manila 2.5 comes with a twitter tab which allows users to view their tweets and update your status. I am wondering if anyone would be able to extract this htc peep application so that we would be able to use it with manila 2.1 and other versions of manila. I really like the usability of the htc peep as compared to many other twitter apps on the market today.
Also, i think it is possible to extract the htc peep as the htc ebook reader has also been extracted from the manila 2.5!
Thank you!
Bertrand Tan
I second the request. Also would this be usable in any other WinMo device running 6.1 (or higher?) Let's say a Palm Treo Pro...?
any update?
