Rebel Sim Card - HD2 General

Hi folks,
Just joined a few days ago after buying an O2 locked HD2 on eBay. Already learned a lot here. Need to unlock the thing. Came across the "Rebel Sim Card". Any comments on that would be helpful. I'm particularly wondering whether there is any advantage of the Rebel over just getting the HD2 unlocked via a code?

Rebel card is OK if you just need your phone to making calls. No chance to use internet with RC.
IMO if you really want your phone to be useful device spend a little bit more extra and unlock via code

RC costs sth like 10 pounds on ebay. It didn`t work for all of my workmates who tried this method. Unlocking code costs 15 and you can be sure it will work ! With HD2 unlocked properly by code you are able to use all features of your mobile.

possible problem on the way

Hi,
i just bought a htc g1 locked to t-mobile austria. I got a good price for it and i decided to buy it because i found a lot of information regarding the unlocking of the phone (so that i can use in vodafone card here in Portugal).
But the problem is, it seems t-mobile austria changes the native codes.. I'm, trying to talk to a lot of ebay stores and some sites, but the most usual answer until now is that they can't supply the code to unlock the phone from t-mobile austria.
What can i do?
thanks
I would look into seeing if T-MO Austria can unlock it for you (they may charge a fee tho).

Cheapest site to get an unlock code ?

What is the cheapest LEGIT site to get an Unlock code for the T-Mobile HD2 ?
I just used this guy on eBay to unlock my HTC HD2 from T-Mobile UK.
Look for: swiftsales714 on eBay.
They have +30,000 positive feedback.
It cost just £7 & I had an unlock code within 2 minutes which worked.
I now have normal connection with my O2 pay-and-go SIM.
I did contact T-Mobile UK & they did say that they have the same policy as Vodaphone & O2 and will provide the unlock code for your phone.
However, you must have an active T-Mobile phone number & they will charge you £15.
eBay seems a great, quick & cheaper alternative.

Cheapest factory unlock for o2

Hi Everyone
Every one of us must be wondering that why in 21st centaury unlocking a Dell Streak is so expensive, and on the top of that only one company Rebel Sim can do this so here is the explanation.
There is only one source to unlock this device who are the so called supplier of Rebel Sim. Rest of companies never shown intrest to buy from this source due to its high price but I have found another company who can unlock dell streak a lot cheaper from Rebel Sim i.e. Unlockking.org
Here is the link https://unlockking.org/services_without_login.php?service=imei&selected=002
Remote Factory unlock of dell streak on o2 is $75 i.e.
Still way to expensive but have we got other option?
PS don’t tell me rebel sim v1.2 its not a proper unlocking

Noob with O2 locked Streak!

Hi Guys
I pick up my new streak tomorrow from someone local on eBay, It's currently locked to O2, just wondering, is there any other way apart from rebel sim ii to unlock it? I noticed they can do it over the air for £35 but not sure if anyone has tried this? I know that O2 can unlock it, but considering the streak's only been out since august-ish, i'm guessing nobody should have had luck with them in the first year?
I've also noticed that the 2.2 update won't work with rebel ii ?
Cheers! Dave
i believe this question has been asked multiple times on the forums and some O2 customers have been able to get free unlocks from the carrier, no idea how though since im not an O2 customer. otherwise, ebay can be your friend too but it will cost you more.

Any way at all to unlock a SHV31 (Sharp Aquos Mini)?

Hi there,
I'm currently in Tokyo and grabbed one of these (second-hand) to replace my rapidly dying Z1 Compact. As I'll be heading back to the UK in a few weeks, is there any way at all I can get this model unlocked? I assumed I'd be able to buy a code from an online marketplace when I bought it, but haven't had any luck. Is there anywhere in Akihabara?
The only place I've found online is here: http://www.sgkeitai.com/goods.php?id=25, but spending $50/100 to unlock a phone seems pretty ridiculous, surely there's got to be a cheaper alternative?
Cheers,
Upon further research, I think a hypersim is the way to go - does anyone know where I can buy a nano microsim?
