is there a Task29 for HTC HD2 TMoUS??
task29 will work on any leo, you just need to be sure of what .nbh file you are using it with.
Personally i would probably use a splashscreen, cos theyre compatible with all leo's, but so long as you use a tmous radio file, that would work too.
(Tmous radios ALL have .50. in the version NEVER .51., , and don't use 2.06.50.x even though it has a 50 in the version, it is not tmous compatible.)

Problem Proforming Task29
Hi I hope some one can help me I still have some of the last rom on my phone after flashing a new rom (mainly its the first opening screen).
I downloaded the rocommend task29 file/cab did the unzip and ran it it gave me the following messages:
Cannot open C:\task29.exe
Cannot open C:\Enterbootloader.exe
Cannot open C:\ErrorBattery.fig
Cannot open C:\ErrorUSB.fig
plus a couple more what am I doing wrong?

Right-click on the file and choose Run as Admin. I had the same issue you had and when I did that it ran fine. I'm using Win7.

that's the "splashscreen" andit isn't partof the rom, task 29 or flashing other roms won't necessarily work. it occupies its own memory space, and you flash it just like radio or rom. some cooked roms and all official roms come with them built in, or you candownload and flash them yourself with customruu, and even make your own. just Google "leo hd2 splashscreen"

Thank you for that information now I am smiling from ear to ear I'v wanted my own splash but didn't think it was possible outside of cooking I will google it like you said but if I run into a problem I hope you will help me.

Have you flashed your HD2 with this ROM yet? Are there any dead links in the start menu? Does everything work?
It worked. I just installed it. I haven't noticed anything not work yet.

This is the official rom for the tmous hd2. The rom that was leaked early was still in the early
stages. If u install this version u get a new radio. The earlier build was 2.14, this one comes with 2.15 radio. From what i can tell this version is alot more stable faster than the one that was leaked earlier. The reason there are these updates is to address issues that users experience. So if u wanna give it a try id recommend it.
Why would there be dead links in the Start menu? This is an official carrier ROM update...and I can myself confirm again that this is the real deal.
I've tried radio 2.15 and went back to 2.14. Loss of signal was very often.

What does the MR mean ie "T-Mobile HTC HD2 MR" on the original update page the MR wasnt there .
does this update your location in the weather panel? I installed the leaked rom, which isn't.

this has nothing to do with the ROM its with the tower within your area. try switching to EDGE instead of 3G and see if it updates for you.

updated to official 3.14 ROM
I just updated my HD2 to the official ROM 3.14, so far I have not seen any slow downs loaded all of my cabs and messages from back up and it just zings. Will report back if I found any bugs. Cheers!

I have yet to be able to find updates on the HTC website by scouting on there on my own.
Do they have a specific section for it because they don't even show the 2.13 update under the Tmo-HD2.
This is live on the TMO website now under wmupgrade.
I am still using stock rom (2.13) on my TMOUS HD2. I have not done hard-spl yet. Soon I'll like to do hard-SPL so that I can download custom ROMs/Radios.
Would it be possible to hard-spl even after updating my phone with the official 3.14 ROM? or should I hard-spl it first and then install this rom?

All of these cooked ROM's are based on Tmobile stock ROM's, just tweaked. The stock 3.14 that is up there on the wmupgrade link is great for me... But cooked ROM's are usually better. Find a new one based on 3.14 after you hard spl.

I just visited the XDA forum for a few day, I found that
The HTC HD2 and HTC HD T-Mobile are difference.
and if someone flash the ROM wrong, the device will become brick.
my suggestion : Why don't restructure the forum to specific like
- HTC HD2
- HTC HD2 TMOBILE US
- HTC ...
so it will easy for the member navigate to the right way without problem and safe..
if something wrong or problem about suggestion please let me know as i'm a newbie.

OTHER ROMS HERE
The thing you need to watch out for is flashing the wrong radio, never ever flash a .51. radio to a TMOUS....
But if you read up on what your doing first then this shouldnt be an issue.

android works the same way on both....using SD card or NAND
I have TMous HD2.was have magldr with win 7.tried to back 6.5 rom.then again and again boot screen tried hspl and radio and more rom.some thing wrong i did.then boot dead.then some one helped me and boot is back
but spl 2.00 and strange giving security unlocked massage and *** never seen boot screen like that
Some roms are not working for me.and some works but again boot screen after 100% done

Ok you have got a strange SPL that I have never seen before. So I Googled it and just about everything that Google pulled up is in Chinese or Japanese. I don't know how to tell the difference so sorry don't want to offend anyone by saying that. I did pull up a thread here on XDA about someone who had this SPL and it has solved in the title so you might want to check it out, it is only five pages long so not a lot to have to read. sorry but I don't have time to read it myself as I am a little busy today. Here is a link to the thread. And here is what Google pulled up. Also the sites with Asian writing that Google pulled up were talking about unlocking the phone somehow so maybe that is why it say Security Unlocked at the to p of your bootloader screen. Hope this helps and I will be checking back here to see how you are coming along. Oh and I have no doubt that this strange SPL you have is the reason your ROM did not flash or will not boot up. I sort of feel like the flash was good but the SPL version you have is no good for the ROM so it can not boot.
Look in the "tmous test and stock roms" thread, post 1, at the end of the roms list is a version of Hspl edited to work with spl 2 BUT not sure it works with 2.00.1000
Also, many of those Chinese sites mentioned above are concerning non tmous phones so the process they mention to fix it involves non tmous roms which will kill your phone.
Basically you flashed a manufacturing test rom/spl which doesn't allow itself to be updated normally.

Yes, load the following files from the lowest number to the highest, checking each one to see if it has the watermark. When you get to a version with no watermark, that one can be used with HSPL.

What Stevedebi is saying is start with ROM 2.01 and work your way down the list of ROMs from there as they are listed in order from oldest to news as they are listed. And it does not matter if they are test or stock ROM just work your way through them until you find the one without the Watermark and the you can flash HSPL again.

I don't understand you. What radio is in those zip files? I thought that any .50 radio was OK for TMOUS?

The first few tmous roms were built to run on regular hd2 (or at least on non tmous spec test devices) presumably cos the tmous didn't exist to test them on. The first two have radio 2.04.50.x and 2.05.50.x which although they are ..50..s they are actually ..51..s.

Just goes to show that with the very best of intentions, its still absolutely critical that you (not "you" personally,,, the person being advised) takes any offered advice and confirms it to their own satisfaction. Especially when it comes to the tmous.
You can thank t mo for being greedy and wanting something "better", causing HTC to inadvertently build a phone with an "instant brick" switch, which you just accidentally tripped.
