Ok so I dont know what happened. I installed this medaldetector app for my phpne. I installed it and ran it and then it sor of had a spaz attack. Had no idea to close it so I took the battery out. (This might have nothing to do with my issue) So when I started up my phone it asked me for a pin number. I never use a pin number and I do not recall turning the option on to use one. So now I cant call or txt or anything like that without the pin.
So I am really stumped. Help me out please.

try your sim card in a different phone and see if it asks for pin code. if it does, somehow pin verification got activated. you need to find the little card that came with your sim card which has the pin code and puk code. if you can't find it, call your operator, they will give you those. (puk code is used when you entered your pin code wrong 3 times) good luck.
Thanks alot... Helped
I have WinMo 6.5.5 on my phone and can't find where to turn off the Pin verification? Anyone know how to do this?
On your home screen, scroll accross to the end (Setings). Tap menu and press All Settings. Go to Personal and then to Phone. You should be able to disable it there.
Alternatively, you could just tap your top menu bar. There should be an icon for your service provider, just tap that and it should directly take you to the option you want.

Hi,
most times I (re-)start my device the PIN request is missing (or in background), maybe caused by other starting application (SIPchange, Pocketshield etc.).
I habe SK Tools installed and could change the order of starting apps. But:
- Which app is responsible for PIN request?
- Which is the best order? Move this PIN request at first or last position or somewhere else?
Thx in advance!
Do you use a 3rd party app for PIN request, the devices PIN or a SIM-card PIN?
No 3rd party app, original stock ROM with PIN for the SIM.
This pin request is missing.
PIN request
had the same experience after loading tons of apps. wait till everything have loaded, press the "call" (green) LHS button, the pin request will pop up.
i feel this is faster, let others load first.
I had this "feature" after setting my mobile to the flight mode and resetting it. It still remains in flight mode. After switchin this of I was asked for a pin. I think its a "security feature" for people resetting their phone while in a airplane.

Thank you, I know that anD I usually do it that way.
But often I forget this, because of missing request of the PIN. So after hours I am wondering why nobody calls or writes me ...
Is possible to get always the focus on PIN request?
Normaly it is like that
Of course, that's why I opened this thread ... I want it back
How the Hell do you enter owner info on the start screen. you know the "this device belongs to: "
was wondering about this too...if there is a lock screen (like the pattern thingie) so when someone finds it they cant open it, how will they know whos phone it is?!?! All my other phones I could put in something like, if found, please call ##...

For pattern lock: Settings > Location & Security > Security Lock
From there you can do a passcode or the pattern. I personally use pattern because it can replace the slide to unlock all together while keeping it secure.
I got the pattern lock....but what about adding a note or your personal contact information, thats whats missing...thanks
If there is a way, I haven't found it. I know you can do it on rooted devices, depending on how the rom is set up, but as far as the droid x, I haven't seen a way to do it. You can download an app from the market that will call your phone if you lose it. Also there are apps that will find your phone on GPS. I know this isn't really what your wanting to do, but it will help you if it gets lost.
after many hours on the net I found the answer. you get this by installing the antivirus program from the apps market. you change the "this phone belongs to:" by going to the antivirus program and pressing the menu button form there go to settings, then remote management and finely lost message. you can change the whole message

That's just specific to that app. There is no way on the stock rom to set this information you are looking for. Just add a contact called Me to your contact list. That way if you lose the phone, somebody may call you (If they don't keep the phone)

Too much work for something too small I think.
One way is to update your wallpaper image to have the text you want (using your favorite image editor). Of course then it'll show on the normal home/launcher as well. But a short "Belongs to John Doe, (555) 555-5555" towards the bottom-center should work.
just found WidgetLocker Lockscreen. I havent tried it yet but I guess you can put widgets on the lock screens so I can put a note there with all this information...worth a try
Somewhere I messed something up. When I double tap on the screen and wake it up and try to unlock the screen it now goes to my pin instead of the pattern option I had before.
I can't for the life of me find the option to change this back. Anyone point me in the right direction?
TIA

Not positive but I would check settings/display/lockscreen
nevermind. I guess when you encrypt the sd card you must use a pin or password to unlock the lock screen
Hi just wonder is there a way to make add any app run with dual screen ??
Oh, yes, sure. Get root, find /system/etc/xml/multiwindow_whitelist_apps.xml file, open it with any text editor that supports root and put there something like
Code:
<mw_nonsystem_app package_name="xxx.yyy.zzz" />
where xxx.yyy.zzz is you app package name. You can see you package names with 3C Toolbox or any other application manager, or get them from /data/app by taking the application folder name and removing the last 2 symbols from there (was: "com.mypackage.myapp-1", will be "com.mypackage.myapp") or see them on Google Play website in the URL of your application.
After you edited the xml, reboot and your app will support multiwindow mode. If it still doesn't, make sure you didn't make a mistake in the package name (Pro versions of free apps can have different package names) and go to Settings->Apps->Menu->Show system processes->HwDualWindowLauncher, clean its data, reboot and try again.
Its work prefect, Thanks @Slavon-93, How can i remove all lock its require disabled by administrator??
Found this solution nearby.

I had the same issue lastnight.. this is what I found and works for me:
1st step : create a pattern lock and for emergency PIN code to 0000 .
2nd step : go unlocking screen by pressing the power button.
3rd stage: try to unlock 5 wrong times, the phone will ask you to wait 1 min, after that go to Backup PIN.
4 th step : enter the PIN secour 0000 , the phone will return to the lock screen option with sliding always grayed out, DO NOT CHANGE.
5 th step : go unlocking screen by pressing the power button , no more multipoint , the slide is given by default!

It won't. After you enter the pattern wrong 5 (or more) times, the tablet will block the input and you will see an Emergency PIN button to the right of Emergency call button. If you don't, just lock and unlock the screen.

Don't know then. I don't think Huawei made it like: "You forgot your pattern? - Ha-ha, loser." There surely must be a button for emergency PIN input somewhere on the lock screen.

I bought my LG K51 last May 2021 (not knowing they stopped making the phones a month before) then in February 2022 it started the "swipe unlock icon to use call options" i tried to get Metro PCS to replace the phone with something else because i can not disable that feature I WOULD NOT HAVE BOUGHT THE PHONE if it had done it at the time of purchase and they DID NOT tell me they stopped making LG phones the month before. Does anyone know how to go to the root menu or anything else to stop or disable this sabotaged phone ?
go into apps, select show system. find phone with a blue "phone" icon . select it and clear cache, then go into advanced and uncheck or disable "Open on top of apps" or similar... do this for all apps with "phone" icon that you think has any connection to the dialer.. hope this helps.
