Hello,
A micro SD card came with the phone. By browsing the card from my computer it looks like it contains the Route66 maps that came with the phone. However, the card doesn't show up on the phone. What gives? Other cards do show up.
Copy the files from the cards to your computer.
Format the card with your computer using Fat32 format.
Recopy the files back onto the formattted card.

Ok, I have a 512MB sd card in, I took pictures and copied them into Storage Card, and now when I put the card in my normal camera, not the pda and hook it on to my computer to view the pics, it says there is like nothing on the card... =/
Your camera probably uses a different graphics format to save images and doesnt recognise the files, you could use a card reader or you could view them from the sd card while inserted in your phone by using activesync on your desktop pc, while connected and click explore then choose your sd card.
I have a buddy at work and his SD card seemed to go on the fritz with him and he couldn't recover his files. We tried copying via his phone, we tried via 2 SD card readers and even tried to plug it in my Vibrant and pull the files.
We fixed it by copying his files from his SD card to my internal 16gig memory and then we were allowed to copy to his PC. After the copying of file he formatted his SD card and then all of the sudden his phone was way more responsive and of course he could get to his files. It was almost like his phone was hanging up trying to read data off the SD card constantly and it was lagging the phone big time.
Anyways what I was trying to say we have portable SD card recovery devices in our myst. Why we were able to copy files from the SD card to internal and not SD card to PC is beyond me, but I was persistent.
I have 32GB Micro SD card that I have copied my files into using a Micro SD card reader but after I inserted it to my A500 the files were gone. The card is formatted to FAT32 and I have inserted it into my A500 before transferring file just to be sure the card can be found by the file manager.
I have tried using wifi to transfer files but I find it very slow; over 2 hours for 1.5GB.
I don't know what I am doing wrong with this thing.
I have recently purchased a SanDisk Extreme Micro SD 64gb SD card for my S7 Edge.
On Android 6.0 I had various issues writing to it. Since the Nougat upgrade it has worked faultlessly until this morning. The phone will not detect it at all.
Is there a compatibility issue with this card or is it simply faulty ?
Sounds like the issue could be the card. It's happened to me with the same SD card.
Connect the sd card to a computer using a SD card reader.
Backup all your data.
Put the SD card in the phone and choose to format it.
Connect SD card to computer and put all files back on the SD card.
Put SD card back in the phone and should work as normal.
That worked for me.
I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 4 which I am no longer using as a phone, but as a media player. In it I have mounted a San Disk Ultra Plus 200GB Micro SD XC1 Card which houses my music collection. The problem is that the Micro SD Card, when mounted in the phone, is not being recognised by my Windows 10 Laptop or my iMac, running under Sierra.
Further investigations have produced the following results:
1. When the Micro SD Card is attached to either my Laptop or iMac via a card reader, both are able to read the card and its contents.
2. When I attach the phone without the Micro SD card, both my Laptop and iMac find the phone via Samsung SmartSwitch and Android File Transfer respectively.
3. When I mount the Micro SD Card into the phone neither the Laptop or Mac find the phone or the card via Samsung SmartSwitch and Android File Transfer respectively.
4. When I experimented with a 32GB micro SD Card the Laptop and iMac found both the phone and the Micro SD Card.
5. The phone as a media player plays music from the Micro SD Card with no problem
I have gone through the process of Developer Options and USB Debugging and updating the software as 2 & 4 would not work if I had not.
My conclusions from all this are:
1. I find it hard to believe the format of the card is the issue as the card reader option would not work.
2. Could the issue be the size of the card (200GB) as the smaller Micro SD Card (32GB) worked?
Any thoughts or suggestions most welcome!
