Hi All,
Many of you have posted great themes and way to better the look of the TF3d and I had used many different thing to customize my device but there one thing I wasn't able to figure out:
When opening a contact card or message from the TF3D I still get the AT&T ugly blue theme.
My TF3D is using Dark_Metal Theme so how can I make the rest use the same theme.

i dnt know if its only me but for some reason i always revert back to my original windows mobile today screen after i have tried some new ones. like they say the original is always the best.
anyone else like me out there?
Not yet, but I must confess I've been using my Magician and Hermes just for three years now. So maybe the moment I switch back to the origanal T-Mobile theme will come anywhere in the future LOL.
Now using a customised Ultimate Launch setup from Rumball. And have used many themes before like Throttle Launcher, Wisbar Advance, HTC Home.
It's all about being happy, isn't?

well, everytime installing a theme or add-on or plugin, i always return the standard HTC Home...for me it is the best, because i get attuned on the standard screen...

I understand you very well and i think what may be behind that backward to original theme.
Ofcourse there are many reasons like:
Themes design in a way that tiered our eyes
Themes with customization limits
Themes that eat a lot of memory
Themes that crash our pda's
etc etc etc
In my case i think i reach to a Software that a use for sometime now and and don't think i will change or reverse to another one.
I use the last WAD2 software and none of the reasons that i mention happens with this software.
I love it
I really don't under the attraction of some of the themes that many people use - 97 tiny icons on the front page.
I use a combination of
* photo contacts
* favourites
* calender
* Inbox
in the day and switch over to "samsung today" in the evening when I am out and about or in the pub.
I'm using Spb Mobile Shell, and some how I always come back the the 1.2.1 default theme. A lot of fancy themes out there. But the original one is crisp, clean and functional. Just the way I like it.
and i thought it was just me that felt this way...

Install and have now still 2 months
Diamond original theme
- change
- back to my old
-diamond theme
- old with black top (like diamond)
- old with normal top, bottom black like original
- old with top like diamond, start menu like diamond....
- old like this up + green ehm.... choose?
- original diamond with my wallpaper :-D
This my history
I've used rlToday for a long time with a simple analog clock with sms email and missed call indicators only. I love using it because it is lite on memory and I can't accidently click anything on the screen. But as of late I was using HTC Home for the weather and music portion. As for the really nice themes that people make they only last at best a week with me then I go back. I guess they are just too much for my simple mind lol.
I have not went back to the original theme once changed. But, I change themes to get a newer & different home screen.
I change my device almost every week, at least ever since I joined xda! Every week there is a new theme, or a new launcher. Right now I am just waiting for WAD2 to be complete, and I'll probably create my theme, then stick with it for hopefully a while. I think I spend more time changing items on my Touch, then I do actually use it !
Not to mention, I have had a new ROM almost every few days since I starting building.
I've tried a lot of plugins. I started with the HTC Home Customizer. WAD and WA2 followed. Tried a lot of things with Ultimatelaunch and i'm using Throttlelauncher right now.
All previous configurations evolved to the theme i use right now. I download a lot of themes for different plugins and get new ideas every time to update my current theme.
I'm definitely not going back to the original HTC plugin. It's good, but there are a lot of things i don't use or are better of mapped under a hardware button. Throttlelauncher with plugins, iContact, Diamond Dialer and Diamond Comm Manager is my favorite combination at the moment.
That's for now... don't know what's happening tomorrow.

heheeh, it is amazing how look a like we are !!!!
The "out of the box" theme is all but useless to me, a Touch owner. The cube serves no useful function other than the quick dialer, as none of the other programs it launches are useful.
I tried a lot of themes and plugins over the months, but none of them were really useful to me. In the end I created this one, which is a combination of rlToday and UltimateLaunch. Having spent the time to create my own icons, figure out how to make buttons that adjust flight mode and mute/vibrate, I can't imagine I'll ever use another theme than this.
With a little bit of patience, I've managed to create a theme that makes the Start menu and the stylus completely irrelevant, and using my device much more efficient. I still tweak it from time to time, and I'm still hopeful of learning how to make graphics change as battery charge changes, but that's not something that affects productivity, so it's not a priority for me.
I've found "theme nirvana"

Everytime I install those themes, I go back to the stock themes in less than a week
Can someone please tell me where I can find themes for a raph? (HTC Touch Pro) I imagine the diamonds themes would work but I don't even know how to install those.

Didn't see the TF3d themes but I saw those other threads and I don't see any instructions on how to get the themes to work on the phone?
awe man I installed that manilla.cab file and now my tf3d flow thing wont start with my phone. I have a black blank screen now wtf Someone help please. I cant figure out how to take it off to see if that will fix it.
Hi Everyone,
Been going through the threads and really love the work everyone has done to make these devices look great. I'm finally started to customize my device to truly make it my own and had about 2 questions regarding programs and themes.
1) I downloaded the S2U2 program that was posted in a clean-up cab (thank you GoodThings2Life and A_C) and my home screen in Touch Flo has as one of the buttons saying lock on it. When I click on that it locks the phone and clicking unlock brings up the stock unlock screen.
How do I change that to S2U2 so when I click on it the Slide to Unlock feature comes up?
2) I love the look of the bottom icons that some people have and would like to change mine to something else a little less obtrusive. What exactly is that bar (tab?) called so I can do a search for them? I'm just looking for the set and not a whole theme since I'm happy with the theme/background on there now.
I also just wanted to say thank you to Cobbs for some of his great wallpapers and At0mAng for the Black Bars cab.

no you can't because the skins you pointed out are for TF2D (manila2D) only.
Nevertheless it's possible to change the skin : choose TF3D2.1 skins for your Diam2
The best is to install themes cabs : copy the cab to your ppc then click on it with your explorer (total commander by example) to install it and soft reset (reboot)

First of all your Diam2 (topaz) is WVGA (480x800px screen) so you have to verify in thread title if the theme is really made for WVGA screens.
Second, your UI is called TF3D2.1 (or manila 2.1) here on XDA : that means you can install full themes made for TF3D2.1 or icons only (from bottom bar) made for TF3D (the first diamond or Blackstone). The best is to try different themes because there is no general rules : some icons sets will work but others won't
The last version TF3D2.5 from LEO device (manila2.5) won't work with your Diam2 stock rom.
there are different ways to get skins for your Diam2 :
- into the dedicated Topaz section : HERE (this one was made especially for your Diam2 so all the stuffs you'll find into this section will work on your Diam2)
- Into general dev&hack section you have the windows themes : HERE
(this is general section so all the themes in this section won't work : verify WVGA TF3D2.1)
- the most important skins databases for TF3D are for Diamond1 (HERE) & HD-Blackstone section (HERE) (because they are older than your D2)
By example, these ones should work on your Diam2 :
- Snoopy
(choose WVGA, don't install VGA or manila2.5 cabs)
- Dusk for manila2.1
- Coquette
- Vector
- my TF3D icons HERE
BTW skins & themes are mentioned by [SKN] or [THE] for a better readability in thread title
One last thing : never install a theme cab on a previous one, always remove old theme cab before installing a new one ^^

well i got something strange it does not fully work on my diamond
How i installed it..
i installed the cab on my memory card. then i installed the program and turned my telephone off and on.. and i tryed to soft reset it.
Is this the right way to install it?
The problem is that the first icon stays in color and the pictures of the icons do not fully fit in the icons. you can not see the full icon.
Do you have the new TF3D2.1 Sense (weather clock) ?
uhmm i have windows 6.5 with the newest rom update from the htc website. the rom update that change the colors the icons. And i do have the weather clock.
oh and maybe good to know.. i have diamond tweak installed on my phone

got the mobiler working but the front is not fully showing.. i hope you got the idea..

I am new to the HTC Tilt2.
So far I love this device but I hate the ATT TF3D theme.
I looked around to see how can I change the theme for TF3D and the best I got is changing the wallpaper of the main screen.
Can someone direct me in the right direction to change the them for TF3D Tilt2?
